In the Mood - Gilgamesh - 03-11-2018 Whenever I write for Gilgamesh or Atelos I listen to a few songs on repeat so I can get into the essence of the character. I want to know what you guys listen or do to get in your characters mindset. For Gilgamesh I either listen to King of Kings by Motorhead or Hail to the King by Avenged Sevenfold For Atelos I listen to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyZD6G1EiZQ RE: In the Mood - Trixie - 03-11-2018 It really varies on what type of post I'm writing. Combat generally inspires more angry music whilst scenes of emotion will fall under Pop or Orchestra. Stuff that strikes a chord with how Trixie may be feeling at the time. For my current thread Panic at the Disco I'm using Trixie's theme song to write my next post. RE: In the Mood - King Ghidorah - 03-11-2018 For Ghidorah, I listen to a lot of MF Doom (in particular in the rapper's alternate persona of King Geedorah), and a fair amount of Judas Priest (Breaking the Law, Nightcrawler). Also, Doomsday (by Nero) - and last but not least, the very same songs the OP uses for Gilgamesh (especially Hail to the King). Manowar has also been known to put in the occasionally appearance if I'm going for something particularly over-the-top. They also have a song called King of Kings, and it's slightly less... restrained... than Motorheads' entry in the annals of monarchist metal. I listen to a lot of Nightwish (just in general, though mostly older stuff) and Blind Guardian (the entire Imaginations from the Other Side album) when I'm writing Kelly - either that or Iron Maiden (particularly Ghost of the Navigator, which is kind of his theme). Sabaton , Running-Wild (The Privateer, Riding the Storm), and Flogging Molly have their places as well. RE: In the Mood - Pennywise - 03-11-2018 I mainly listen to some pretty soft, repetitive pieces from Homestuck's music volumes, like Candles and Clockwork and Mother. RE: In the Mood - Gilgamesh - 03-24-2018 @Ghidora I found a new song that I super love for Gilgamesh and I think you might like it as well. Don't Mess with Me - Temposhark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMeWTcPOLGg RE: In the Mood - Morene Fellon - 03-24-2018 Shay Cormac's songs of Templar antics - Morene Fellon and the house of "I cut myself on that edge" - RE: In the Mood - Serraph Quarrere - 03-24-2018 Serraph Quarrere The song I feel fits Serraph surprisingly well if some words (namely the proper nouns) were replaced with some relevent ones. The song itself isn't alone to stir my mood for Serraph but the parchment/paper background displayed in this video. Serraph's body is made of a material similar to paper folded and packed dense enough for his body to serve its purpose. He lacks normal blood humans have but rather a very heavy ink that flows through his veins. Very veery small fang like appendages inside of the entirety of his body are responsible with the recording of knowledge he accumulates as well as various instructions and purposes for each and every part of his body. The blood spilt on this paper in the video I feel describes Serraph's pursuit for knowledge that often leads to bloodshed, his own and human/shinigami/etc. Its a kickass song that I feel so strongly fits well with my character that I named my most recent thread after it. Miranda Frost: There are plenty of songs I could write with Miranda, but this one I have recently found uncovered I feel helps me describe the wars of her past and the battles she inevitably will get dragged into the future and her never ending struggle to deal with the memories that come with such heavy events. Winston Churchill's speech at the beginning of this song, for example, I feel can help me describe the battle at Colosseum/Pandemonium in which she, a few renegade knights, and a coalition of raider warlords lay siege to the fortress city. With colomns of heavy tank divisions, a battered but elite wings of aircraft, and a massive horde of infantry, she fought to obtain vengeance from those who slay everything she held dear.
