Dark Rain: Part Two - Koal - 05-08-2017

Koal and Doom, cautiously crept through the dimly lit and cavernous hallways of Fort Cinderstone, the former holding a glowing torch high above their heads. The resulting orange-yellow glow threw long and wavering shadows that seemed to hide enemies around every corner. Occasionally, one would stop and inspect a room, the other keeping a vigilant watch for any stragglers of the Raider gang.

"I'm going into this room," Koal tapped the Doctors shoulder and motioned to a door on their right, "Keep watch and alert me if anything happens. These raiders know this place almost as well as the back of their hands." Doom nodded affirmative, and Koal slowly eased the door open. The office wasn't much, but Koal was sure he'd be able to find something of value, or maybe just some supplies. They'd need water or something else to get out of the Ashen alive. Koal found a canteen, and as he sifted through the papers on the desk, he froze as his eyes caught a name on a Manila folder.

SUBJECT XIII: Lynch, Koal

He nearly tore it open trying to open the file. As he skimmed over pages and pages of data, his mind was buzzing with questions that seemed to be popping out of nowhere.

"What did they do to me?"

"Why don't I remember any of this?"

Koal threw the file against the wall, his rage boiling over as bottled frustration and helplessness exploded outwards. His breathing heavy, he continued to sift through the papers until he found a map. The stronghold was designed so as to be a maze, to trap any who escaped inside, and a map was key to finding ones way out. And he walked out of the room, he saw Doom, with three dead raiders at his feet, a seemingly bored look in his eyes.

"I though I said to alert me if trouble came up."

"It was no trouble to Doom. I could handle simple thugs such as them a thousand times over." He scoffed, as if the very idea of a few individuals taking him down was preposterous. Shaking his head at his new companion, they pushed onwards, the two making a surprisingly effective and efficient team, searching and defending themselves in turn, and arguing over the map every so often. It was slightly nostalgic to the young Swordsman, if he was being honest. But not entirely unwelcome. So far Doom had kept to his word, so Koal would do the same.

After all, He needed Doom as much as Doom needed him.

RE: Dark Reign: Part Two - Beta Ray Bill - 05-09-2017

Koal and Doom's damaged metal boots paced through the cobble stone hallway in the fortress known as Cinderstone. It had only been a few hours since the duo had brutally beaten and killed the raider leader Nisha, their wounds were still very fresh. The only thing that lit both the Demon and the monarchs path through the dark deep black stone walls and ash dusted floors was illumination of oil wooden oil coated touches. Both men proceeded through each corner, archway and hallway will vigilance and caution ready for any sign of a surprise attack from the left over raider, if there was any more left at all.

It was a rarity that Doom had worked with anyone, he had much preferred to work alone. Working alone kept the trouble of betrayal and impatience, it also meant that he did not have to share his hunger for power with those who were ever always below him. This alliance with Koal though was purely a wise course of decision, ego shattering and honestly without the boys help Doom would have been stuck working with barbaric raiders for a lifetime. Doom put that thought in the back of his head, Doctor Doom needing help was preposterous on many levels to his egotistical mindset.

The pieces are falling together, soon the need of allies will be enough that I Doctor Doom will rule this realm of reality and possibly the multiverse. Once the gathering of this Omniverse's most notorious villains are at the side of Doom only then will there be a need of an army, people, and land to rule. The land I will rule with an iron fist shall be Latveria, a new Latveria, with the following of my allies and army only then will the country shall be one the most powerful kingdom of all verses. All of this shall come in time for destiny and fate shall guide Doctor Doom's rise to power.

Proceeding through even more dark ominous hallways of the fort for a few more hours Koal came to a stop near arching corridor and pulled the map he had found an hour ago, Doom almost immediately following the same as Koal. Towering over Koal he folded his damaged metal arms patiently waiting for Koal to say something, his shredded green cloak flowing up every now and then from the small wind that drifted through the stone fort.

"Why have we stopped?" Doom said putting his left hand on his metal masks chin.

Koal shot his head up from reading the map. "The map shows that we're close to the storage room."

Doom took a few steps closer to Koal clapping his metal hands together. "Excellent the sooner we get the materials needed the faster this armor can be replaced."

Koal folded the map back up and pocketed it. "About that, I'm going to ask you to aid me with the creation of my own armor."

Doom placed his metal right hand on his masks chin in deep thought and with long sigh he mustered a reply. "Indeed Doom can help you with such matters and only once will Doom agree to this."

The sound of blades unsheathing startled Koal causing his to spin around yanking out his larger sword from the sheath on his back. Both of the men had been surrounded, there were at least five raider each carrying blades ready to kill. one of raiders stepped forward to the duo, he was probably the only one man enough to at least approach them and speak.

"Like anything you say is going to happen, you should have left this place after what you did, now were going to kill you both!" The raider shouted pointing his sword at Koal and Doom.

Instantly as the man shouted he and another men on his left charged for Doom while the other three went after Koal. Charging electricity through his body Doom aimed his right hand at the first raider rushing for him. Green bolts of lightning coursed through  his finger tips, the arcing bolts crashed into the raider sending thousands of volts through his body as he instantly died stumbling to the ground.  The other raider trying attack Doom's  left flank was unmercifully blasted by one of Doom's yellow plasmic energy blasts. The blast sent him smashing into the black cobblestone wall beside him. The other three raiders tried to gang up on Koal but they weren't  fast enough to doge his great sword. The long blade cleanly cut all three of them in half from their wast, blood pouring out of their corpses creating a pool of crimson red.

Doctor Doom placed both of his metal hands on his hips taking few deep breaths. "Now with no further interruptions let us take what is required from the storage room."

After gathering the materials needed Doctor Doom and Koal spent hours near a forge they hand found out side the fort and began to craft the new armors. Hammering, drilling, quenching, soldering, and threading, piece by piece, spell by spell their armors were put together. Doom's new armor's body was now mostly midnight black and the parts the weren't were silver, his new gauntlets were shaped to resemble claws and at the center of the palms holes were drilled out and added with technology that closely looked like his enemy Iron Man's arc reactor blasters. the technology its self was created to add Doctor Doom with charging of his energy blasts. A similar hole was also located on Doom's chest piece. The piece glowed green and was the most important besides his newly crafted silver metal mask, the piece its self powered the entire armor. Doom had also threaded and knitted a new green cloak that flowed all the way down to his silver metal feet and sleeved his metal arms, the top end pieces of the cloak were pointed up the same way as Dracula's cape did in the movies, the cloak had also hooded over Doom's mask.

Koal's armor its self was black all over with a flowing cape and hood. The armor had heavy ebony pauldrons, scaled boots, and clawed gauntlets.

After a few more hours of figuring their new armor and add the necessary equipment and touches to it, they were set and ready for anything that the Omniveres could throw at them.

Doom approached Koal now in his own refashioned design, Doom's  large green cloak flowing in the ashy wind and his voice was ever more deeper and metallic then it had ever been.

"From this day forward you shall be known as general Lynch of the Latverian army and together we shall rule this Omniverse with an Iron fist! Our first step now is to leave this place and follow my armors tracking system and retrieve my Doombot." Doom said his arms raised to praise his new ally.

"After we find your machine then what do we do?"  Koal said his arms folded and his mind in deep thought.

"Then we gather an alliance of men and women that have similar goals and ideals as you and I, our alliance shall be known as the Dark Reign, the Cabal. Come our time of departure is now."

RE: Dark Rain: Part Two - Koal - 05-25-2017

Koal felt his smile twist into a sneer of grim satisfaction of his new armor. He held the fabric of his cape between his fingers, testing the weight and thickness of the material. Doom might have been a little odd, but damn did he know how to make armor. He looked like an absolute badass, ready to kick ass and take names. He looked over at his comrade, who had similarly new armor. He sported a long, forest colored cloak, the shadows of the hood concealing the metallic mask that lay within it's depths. Doom had been a valuable ally. Maybe even a friend at some points. But Koal was still a little wary. The power that The man wielded was potent and unpredictable. A force to be reckoned with.

He glanced around at the torchlit walls of Fort Cinderstone, his eyes looking in every shadow, every little crevice for a sign of a fight. He was positively vibrating, his body thrumming with negative energy. Doom seemed to pick up on the gathering of ethereal essence, because he kept looking sideways at Koal, as if trying to figure out a puzzle. The swordsman was pleased to see that it didn't seem to be working. The less Doom knew about him, the less he could use against him.

"The map says we're close to the main gates of the fort. After that, we could go one of two ways to the Nexus gate

"The first and most direct route would be the main pathway, but I'm not sure if that'd be the safest way. The second and most dangerous route is a system of tunnels leading near the Gate." He folded up the tattered map and tucked it within his cloak, his violet eyes regarding a thoughtful Doom.he held a hand up to Koal, signaling for them to stop waking. As their step slowed to a halt, the Doctor began to speak in slow, elegant tones.

"I believe that we can handle anything that we may encounter on the trail." He threw a confident, almost... proud smirk Koals way. He strode forward, taking in the main gate to the Fort. They were heavy stone doors, intricately carved with grotesque scenes of raids and burning villages. It was beautiful, in an insanely morbid way. Koal braces his armored hands against the doors and pushed, the gate opening slowly with a groaning protest.

"Take note, Mr. Lynch. This is the beginning of our empire." Doom exclaimed while walking out the doors. Koal took in the burning fields of the Ashen and smirked, following closely in The Doctors wake.

RE: Dark Rain: Part Two - Beta Ray Bill - 05-27-2017

A low wind blew past the two men giving a high pitch whistle that rang in their ears, both Koal's cape and Doom's cloak flowing upwards into the air as the torrent of wind blew past them.

Each step armored step crunching into the snow like ash that doted the land that surrounded the two beings. The land itself like has been always since Doom and Koal entered the verse still was covered with smolder hot pools of lava with acidic steam following in its natural wake. This Ashen steps would forever always be and arid place, never could support life such as vegetation nor could certain animals be able to live in such a hostile environment and if there were animals in this "Hell" they surly would have followed Darwin's theory that only the strongest shall survive.

These men, dead set for the same goals, marched ever onward through the harsh land of the Ashen Steppes. Doom's master plan was now set in motion; the creation of the Cabal and possibly the formation of a new Latveria were now in his grasp. Soon, true and absolute power could now flow through the lands of this Omniverse and all would bow or parish to the invincible, utter, sheer force of Doctor Doom. This, of course, would take time. and besides, what is a king with out his knights? Doom needed an army and generals to lead it.

luckily fate granted him already one general.

Doctor Doom trusted Koal only about as far as he could throw him, though, keeping apprehension was his plan with the demon. Koal, from Doom's perspective he was very unpredictable, Koal had already shown that with only the slightest nudge that he could accept a dominate power and seize opportunities that benefited him as well. This made him a very dangerous being, for better or worse. Doom saw that the young demon showed aptitude, and with time and effort put on both Koal and Doctor Doom's ends Koal himself could become a very useful ally and an even better general.

Traversing even further through the fields of scorched earth and magma the ashen winds kept strong at points blanketing them in the pale white substance. They proceeded further to there destination, walking for hours they both had rediscovered the path that Doom had followed the other day, before he was captured by Koal and Nisha's small raider group.

Doom began to drift into his mind, deep in thought and memories. Most of his memories were of the past, they were all like recordings playing in his head. They replayed his most crowning achievements and also his more wretched defeats. The most popular one the rung in Doom's head was of the event of what some heroes and villains of his world called the secret wars. This war was a thing of amusement for the being known as the Beyonder and Doom couldn't help but compare the deity, Omni,  that had trapped and even mocked Doom with the Beyonder.

-

The ground of the Battleworld shook and crumbled as the heroes startled into a panicking frenzy made there drastic exit before the alien base called Doombase by its former inhabitants called it. Out side the base the form of earthquake stopped.

"Hey! It--It stopped!" The Human torch shouted flying up into the air.

"Suddenly, it's all quiet again! What gives!?" Spiderman shouted in confusion crouching on top of a boulder wearing his new black costume.

"Look! up there!" Hawkeye screamed pointing to the sky that was now completely covered by a blinding light.

"That light! what is it." Rouge asked seeing if there was an answer or not.

"It's coming closer!"

"Be ready for anything!" Captain America ordered readying for whatever the ball of light was.

"Cap, you're something else man? Don't your jaw ever go slack? Aren't you ever just too flabbergasted to shout orders?" Hawkeye sarcastically asked.

"Quiet Hawkeye! stand ready! it's almost om top of us!" Cap shouted.

"Something's forming inside of it!"

Doctor Doom formed for the blinding ball of light stomping his way towards the heroes. He was taller the anything that was on the Battleworld, Doom loomed over his adversaries.

"The Beyonder is dead! Now, the supreme being in the universe... IS DOOM!"

Doom's memory passed, he didn't want to dwell on that particular one a whole lot. Not only was that one of his crowning achievements but also a colossal failure, the Beyonder was never truly dead and it soon stole back its power with in a few days after Doom had defeated the ultimate being.

Soon we should be back at where we had started, the stagnate gates of  this Omniverse. From there we shall track my faithful Doombot. Where ever knowledge it has gained would prove to be useful in our mission to create a vast empire upon these multiversal realms of Omni's reality. This new Latveria shall become a all powerful super power upon these lands and all shall bow to DOCTOR DOOM.

Proceding though the ashed over path way the duo had stumbled into a clearing that was blanketed with ash. bubbling pools of lava could be seen far out in the distance and the sulfuric clouds were clear enough that you could see gigantic mountains that were black as night.

Koal had seemed to stop his march with Doom towards the Nexus gate, it took Doom a second to notice and he had stopped to. There was no need for Koal to stop and take a break, they were only a few minuets to the gate from there they could take a break from the walking, so there could be only one thing, he had questions.

Doctor Doom turned to Koal leveling his metal mask to the demons level. The monarchs green cloak flowed upwards for the volcanic winds.

"You have questions Mr. Lynch or are you taking a break? Doom knows that you already know that we are close to the gate that leads to the white abyss."

"Yeah I do know that we're close to the gate. Enlighten me most Doomful one, you use a form of magic, I want to know more about it." Koal replied adjusting his newly formed armor's gauntlets.

Doom gave a large smirk under his metal mask and rose his armored right hand its claws point outward at Koal.

"Magic is a power that forms around all living things but truly only certain men and women ever show the gifts it gives us. Just as you are from the occult magic itself is also supernatural and once one knows how to control its principles nothing shall stop them from their quest for power."

Doom's gauntlet hummed with power within seconds a green flame formed around it. Koal gave a large grin, the green flame reflected in his violet eyes.

"Then I believe you could teach it to me, aid me gain power."

The green flame quickly blew out and Doom gave a light chuckle.

"Yes, I could but there is a time and place for such a thing." The Doctor turned away from Koal and proceeded to follow the path they were on.

-

Both men had finally made it to the towering gate that lead back to white Nexus where they had both been brought to the Omniverse by the being Omni. Not wasting precocious time they both passed through it.
