Desman Black Vs. Cell Mock-fight (IC) - Desman Black - 03-28-2017

Despite being "Forgotten",the fortress of obsidian Des was standing in seemed to be one of the very few places in this endless desert that seemed to support humanoid life, of course he hadn't been though much of it. He wasn't even planning to come here anyway; what was he doing here then? Well, there was a rumor of a strange creature making anyone who passed by disappear around these parts, and the people at Coruscant thought of the brilliant idea to send him in. After causing a bit of 'collateral damage' in the upper levels, he really couldn't say no; which brings us to the stromtroopers behind him.

"C-comander, are you sure about this? What if the rumors are true?" The first  trooper was timid, and rightfully so.

"Suck it up soilder!" The second was more confident, despite how long he had been in the omniverse, he still didn't believe in many things. "For all we know it's just that, a rumor!"

"I don't think that's a rumor!" Trooper #2 was only just able to turn arond before a very thin scorpion-like tail was trusted aggressively through his armour, it dropping to the ground empty just a few seconds later.

"Okay," Desman said, pushing the surviving tropper back with his extended arm. "Move to the middle of the room and whatever you do, don't run..." The robot sighed as he heard the scream from behind, why didn't anyone listen to him. "Whoever you are, show yourself. There's no use hiding in the shadows!"  Preparing his blaster to shoot, he looks around carefully,  making sure to look at the sonar every now and then.

RE: Desman Black Vs. Cell Mock-fight (IC) - Handsome Jack - 03-30-2017

Doctor Gero's creation watched the patrol from the shadows, and considered why they might be there. For the last few weeks, he had made this Forgotten Fortress his home, a suitable staging point for his nightly raids against the nearby Town with No Name. Perhaps Roland suspected that his citizens were being attacked from this point and had called for a search? This concerned the insectoid creature, but he certainly wasn't going to complain when a free meal walks so casually into his lair.

Gero's creation took a closer look at the others. The first was obviously a machine, worthless to him. But it was flanked by two men clad in white armour, likely Stormtroopers of the Empire. Though mere Secondaries, what little lifeforce they possessed would still be better than going without. And, to be honest, he DID love the act of slaughtering the weak and feeding on them. After all, he was at the top of the food-chain... he was the perfect being. Those beneath him: their only purpose was to fuel his ascension.

The two men exchanged words, and gave him the perfect opportunity to strike. A long, green tail whipped from the shadows, its tip penetrating the neck joint of one's armour. The machine and the remaining Stormtrooper could only look on in shock as his victim, having fallen to his knees, pleaded weakly for their assistance. The dark corridors of the Forgotten Fortress, once filled with only the dust of abandonment, now echoed with the Trooper's fading cries and a sickening swallowing as the man's life drained away. Before long, all that remained was the armour the human had been wearing.

It seemed this was enough to rouse the others back to reality, the act they had just seen enough to have turned nearly a minute of feeding into something that felt like only seconds. Above the scent of decay that permeated the Fortress, and the more recent smell of death, a new odor rose... the remaining human had voided himself at the sight he'd just seen. The hard metal of the man's rifle, held in a grip that was too tight to be effective, clattered against his shoulder as fear shook him. The machine pushed its remaining fellow behind it, giving a warning first and then calling for their attacker to reveal himself, weapon raised and seeming to scan the area.

The bioandroid knew it was only a matter of time before he was spotted. His choices were to reveal himself or to retreat and let the second man live. And while the latter was certainly the wiser course of action, he had grown tired of hiding in the shadows, feeding like some scavenger. He stepped forward, the light of the patrol's torches glimmering on his carapace. The creature was incredibly tall, with a green coloration accented with orange and black. His tail, the very same appendage which had drained their friend of life not so long ago, whipped back and forth behind him as the amalgamation's beak opened to speak.

“Hi there,” he said in a serpentine half-whisper. Dismissing the Trooper for the moment, he looked to the mechanical soldier and continued.

“Mind doing me a ssolid and leaving? Me and your friend have ssome bussinesss to attend to, and you'd only get in the way.”

Before the robot could answer, his companion pulled the trigger on his own weapon. Bolts of energy flew wildly towards the green monster, the retort from the rifle punctuating a wordless scream. In an instant, the creature knocked his rifle aside and thrust the Trooper against the far wall, moving far more quickly than any mortal could register. His tail raised behind him, the yellow stinger poised to drain the life of the last Trooper. But, before he could strike, he caught a glimpse of a sudden flash of light from behind. He threw himself aside, barely avoiding a blast of energy.

The bioandroid sighed softly, slowly regaining his feet and looking over his shoulder at the diminutive being who had dared interrupt his meal.

“Well, I guesss we're doing thiss then, huh? Fine then. Let'ss ssee how you deal with thiss."

The creature placed his hands together at his side and began to chant, "Kaaaaaaa... Meeeeee... Haaaaaaa... Meeeeee..."

Though confused, the machine knew that whatever was about to happen couldn't be good. It lined up another shot, but before it could fire, the monster thrust its hands forward and finished his mantra and a light blue beam of pure energy shot towards his foe.

"HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

RE: Desman Black Vs. Cell Mock-fight (IC) - Desman Black - 04-01-2017

Knowing full well that he wouldn't be able to dodge in time, Desman blocked what he could it with his arms, which wasn't very much; the plasma seemed to close in on the gap between the robotic limbs and their owner, scorching bits of his metal skin and ripping a few slabs of metal off his left wrist, upper right arm and lower back as it did his. As the attack faded, the robot was flung a foot or two back. Stabilizing himself by his upper body weight, he looked up to see the insectoid being standing just a few feet away and seemingly smile.

"I must admit, I thought you would've been dead after that. You proved me wrong by sssurviving; I'll be ssure to correct that misstake." Was this creature... glotting? With how everything else was in The Omniverse, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

"You okay A.N.N.A? With the enemy distracted by their own self indulgence, it was as good as time as any to check on the voice in his head.

'Of course I'm alright! seeming almost annoyed. 'Everything I'm made of his inside a micro-chip, unless it's shattered the worst that will happen to me is that we lose communication. Now worry about yourself.'

'Right.' Looking around for something that could be used to trap the insectoid, Desman for once wished for one of the cliques that appears to be infinite in the Omniverse. Like the old dusty house that every horror movie takes place in; at least there he could blind the opponent. 'Wait! That's it.

The little red robot swiftly turned around to move as quickly they could towards the darkness. The green creature soon took noctice of this and gave chase, catching up to Desman at an unanticipated speed. Turning his whole upper body 180 degrees, Desman fired 3 consecutive shots. The minor shock the amalgamation felt from inhuman movement allowed one of the shots to graze their arms; they fired their own energy balls in response.

After being hit by one or two of the attacks launched at him, Desman finally made it to the darkness,  soon followed by his opponent as anticipated. Unlike the creature that followed him, Des was able to 'see' where everything was, even in this darkness,  and used this to catch his opponent off guard. The incectoid was hit directly every few rounds of shot, being grazed by one on most others. Tiring of this 'game', the green being glowed slightly, allowing him to hit the next shpere back at the robot before whipping his tail into their neon blue chest piece.

Desman only chuckled at the creature's decision. "What'ss sso funny. Can't you ssee I'm about to end you misserable exissstence!"

If the robot had a face it would be smirking right now. "You let me get close to you. Three sudden flashes appeared right next to the creatures face, the close proximity and the tail stuck in the chest made the attack nigh-impossible to evade.

RE: Desman Black Vs. Cell Mock-fight (IC) - Handsome Jack - 04-04-2017

The scent of charred carapace filled the air, like a child burning ants with a magnifying glass, as Desman's blasts struck true. The bioandroid staggered back, his stinger pulling free from the constraining metal of the machine's chest. He blinked as motes of light danced in his vision and smoke stung his eyes. The pain was excruciating, and he was forced to admit that his mechanical foe's weaponry was more powerful than he had given it credit for. And unfortunately for him, it seemed his enemy wasn't the type to allow his opponent a moment of respite. More blasts of yellow-grey energy launched towards the amalgamation and only his superior speed saved him from taking additional damage. He threw himself to the ground, scalding hot air washing over him as the attacks passed harmlessly by.

Broken stone grated against the granite floor as the bioandroid rolled to his feet. A yellowish ball of ki formed in his hand, launched towards his foe with a thrust of his arm. Connecting with a small explosion, lightly scorching Desman's chassis, the machine retaliated with its own energy projectile. Lithely sidestepping the blast, the amalgamation found himself thankful that, while its solid construction made it resistant to his attacks, it was far too slow to effectively avoid any of his attacks.

“Jusst give up, machine,” he said with a serpentine lisp. “Being desstroyed for thesse humanss... what are they to you? Are they worth what passsess for your life? Are they worth dying for?”

“Not really,” his opponent replied, “But I don't have a whole lot of choice.”

Before the bioandroid could ask what it meant by that, the robot went back on the offensive, raining shots down on his position. He darted along the hallway, adjusting his speed in random spurts to throw off the machine's aim, and returning fire with his own ki blasts. The wall was scorched black with errant energy on both sides. Though Desman was slow, by pressing his attack he was forcing the amalgamation to fire his blasts before getting a proper bead on him. Clever, thought the bioandroid. But... it wouldn't be enough.

With a burst of speed, Gero's creation closed the gap between them, standing far too close to the robot for it to bring its weapon to bear. He grin, beak-like mouth opening to expose his fangs as Desman struggled to back away on its treads. Soon enough, there was no retreat left, its back literally against the wall and its foe close enough to lick its antennae.

“Sso... It'ss ass I thought. Without your precciouss gun, you're helplesss...”

He laughed, a sinister echo joining him in his revelry. Left foot sliding to the rear, the bioandroid lowered himself into a fighting stance with his hands raised before him.

“Wolf... Fang... Fisst!” he declared before launching into a lightning-fast volley of hand-to-hand strikes.

RE: Desman Black Vs. Cell Mock-fight (IC) - Desman Black - 04-07-2017

With the Desman backed up against the wall the insectoid creature yelled at the top of his lungs before... almost nothing. Sure, the robot could, feel the hits, but they didn't really hurt all that much. The robot was still blocked though, if it wasn't for this stupid wall... 'Wait, that's it... Desman pushed forward as far forward as he could, turning around to fire at the wall. The rubble smoked as the robot run towards it.

"Not so fasst, I'm not finisshed with you yet!" The bioandroid rushed out to the open battlefield on the opposite site of the wall. "Huh?" The creature turned around to see Des running back up the hallway. Cell run forward at his normal speed, being too exhausted burst around as he had done previously. Catching up to the robot was still a breeze though, the robot only just managing to close a door behind him before a tail stabbed though and ripped it off it's hinges, revealing a pitch dark room. "Reussing trickss, I ssee. They're not going to work on me thiss time though." The bioandroid's limbs started glowing in the darkness.

"Do you really think I would be that predictable?" The banging of metal could be heard in the distance before the room lit up, revealing a maze of mirtors surronding the incectoid, before Des stepped into veiw.

"Arrgh!" A yellowish orb appears in the insectoids hands, before it fires and crashes with the mirror the image of Des was in. Desman's image stepped into the mirrors around cell, and with a few more yells, and ome ki blasts, the insectoid broke the mirrors one at a time.

"Well," the echo of Des' voice spread though the rooms. "Since I have some time to rest, I might as well finish answering your question from earlier. You see, I once did care, about people's lives, about not letting people fall on my watch. But then I saw to many people die, I lost interest in my morals andmy mentality finally snapped; I became just like you, just like all of you. I craved  power, revenge, control. City crumpled, planets trembled, millions of people died. At least, that would have happened a long time ago, if I hadn't forced myself to care, because if I don't, I would lose the thing most important to me. I would lose my friends,  lose my family,  lose her. My humanity, the one thing that keeps me connected to him would have dissappeared, and without them, my life isn't worth it."

The bioandroid was still smashing up the walls of mirrors in his wake, his stamina slowly depleating as they did so.

"Why am I telling you all this?" By this point, Cell too frustrated to be listening, getting angrier at each wrong target he broke. "Well, partly because it's been playing on me lately,  but mostly, it was just a distraction."

The sounds of smashing glass appear behind the incectoid, as well as the shots that caused them.
