My current post count decreased somehow while I was inactive, went from 27 in the newest log update to 24.
Is this a bug? Did a thread I was in get deleted? Should I just use this number now if I want to update my log?

Yea, just use that value in your log posts. As long as your OM didn't change, you're fine.
