Undying Power-Up issue - Undyne - 02-06-2017
In preparation of my T1 Power-Up for Undyne, I'm running into an issue of sorts that I need some help on. Is it possible to do the below under Omniverse rules, or would it be illegal?
The "Undying" Power-Up is based on Undertale's events. To briefly sum up what happens, Undyne takes lethal damage but by force of will transforms to her "Undying" form, which fills her HP bar back up. I would like to play Undyne closely to the game if at all possible, that's where the dilemma comes into play.
Leaving Regeneration/Healing and Survival aside for these considerations I want Undyne to activate that power-up following an attack of her opponent which is "up-played" as dealing much more damage than it normally would, leaving her near death before she activates the power-up form and 'recovers' from the up-played damage. To give an example, Undyne at full health is hit by a T1 attack, which would deal 2 damage (out of 20). This is up-played to Undyne reacting as if she took 19-20 damage and is about to kick the bucket. She activates the power-up and from there behaves 'normal' again, at 18/20 HP instead of 1/20.
The up-playing is intended to be pure RP fluff for drama purposes, not as a way to circumvent spending SP on Regeneration or to negate "real" damage. Still though, I want to be certain that this wouldn't be an issue.

Since you're just using it as a description and not actually healing or 'ignoring' the damage (like Survival would grant) I don't see any issue with this.
