Anyone up for a co-op storyline? [details within] - Undyne - 12-30-2016
In short: I'm planning a storyline revolving around Sabrina being given a new tool to test out by Imperial R&D, and I would like to play that bit with someone. Anyone who's interested?
As for the long version:
In preparation of my planned storyline I will soon have Sabrina be contacted by the Imperial R&D department, to test a special item that they have prepared. Because that item requires extensive testing in what effects it has not just with Sabrina, but people around her, it must be done as a group experiment. Other "test subjects" or "testers" would be brought in to test other unrelated prototypes or have experiments conducted on them.
I would be happy to link this to a quest if anyone wants to affiliate themselves with the Empire (There are no Lines comes to mind) but it can be a storyline of its own. Because I don't feel comfortable with playing such a scenario in a non-consensual environment, I'd prefer to avoid either character being dragged into it against their will.
Now to the meat of the idea: Sabrina and the other character are brought in to the Coruscant R&D laboratories to test a few prototype weapons or tools. What exactly these are is up to the player, though I was planning to use this as an IC reason to purchase a new power for Sabrina - you are free to do the same for powers, moves, stat-ups etc. if you want.
The tests would take place in a controlled environment with the theme being water - a lake or sea. This could be a simulated environment (an ecosphere dome somewhere in Coruscant) or a closed-off location (in the Vasty Deep), but in either case the water and its impact on the test is playing a big role. The characters would be expected to wade through shallow water or swim and dive in deeper parts, and use whatever items are being tested under those circumstances.
Outside of the above I don't have any specifics down yet but I'm open to discussion if there are any wishes or ideas. A few suggestions:
-Sabrina and your character could be pitted in a battle against each other, made to test the prototypes extensively as they are monitored.
-They may be given a task to carry out while testing out the prototypes, such as apprehending a criminal in the lower levels of Coruscant (would be a good way to play the Hand of the Empire quest). Instead of a simulated aquatic environment it's a sewer or a flooded part of Coruscant where they fight the individual.
-They may be tasked to deal with an issue that doesn't involve fighting, such as the structural integrity of a lower level being at risk (maybe the rebels have detonated some stuff?), and a few Primes are required to summon pillars to uphold the fragile balance until architects can properly rebuild the structure.

While I love the idea and would kill to be involved in this, I'm in the middle of a quest I'm not even sure how I can end. And I'm not at quite a high enough OM for an alt. Sorry. But I will keep this in mind if it's still open when I finish that quest.

much as I'd love to do this, it would have to wait until assault on darkshire is finished, and that's... gonna take a while.
I suppose Weiss might be able to do it relatively soon in comparison, but it would take a bit for me to find a good reason for that one.

Gaige, seeing as how you're available immediately, we could get something started in the next few days? If you had any suggestions or wishes we can get started right away.
Yukki, you can join us with your second character if you're able to make them before we are finished, though I imagine that it'll take a bit longer than that. Possibly the R&D team requires a "volunteer" and your character is recruited straight from the Nexus.
Do either of you want to tie this to a quest or just run a storyline?

If Cupa gets accepted soon enough, she'll be okay with participating in an experiment. Maybe someone meets her in the Nexus and talks to her about it before taking her to the R&D department? If she can get in, I'd like to be able to do the "There are no lines" quest to become a part of the Empire. However, if she doesn't get approved, or if you guys start before she gets approved, feel free to ignore me. I'll understand, no hard feelings.

Erm, while I'd normally be down for "There Are No Lines", Gaige is an anarchist and would probably not help the Empire in any way...

I'm not sure what you had in mind then... because Sabrina works for the imperial R&D, and she's specifically contacted by them to do the research, so even if we don't go for the quest Gaige would be helping the Empire by participating.

This should not have too much impact on you two's stories if you don't want to, but I meant to run this storyline as a stepping stone towards a major offensive against the Pokemon Liberation Front. The Empire wouldn't disclose too much detail to their "guinea pigs" but maybe it'll give you some ideas?

My idea is that I have been arrested by the Empire and that's how I'll join you.
At first, I was thinking it doesn't make sense for us to work together since I'd probably be a supporter of the Front. Then I realized we could play serious tension and that'd be fun.
Obviously, if you were looking for a friend rather than an enemy, I may not be best for the job.

With Amaterasu I would probably have said no... but for Sabrina? Making a few enemies isn't that big a deal, and the tension would make for a fun experience. We'd just need to pad out the details between the three of us, other'n that I'm set to start whenever you two want to.
