Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Weiss Schnee - 01-13-2017 The faction of Coruscant is perhaps the strongest in the Omniverse. It certainly doesn't use magic to the same extent that it's opposite, Camelot, does, but the massive city-scapes technology and grandeur is surpassed by few things. Despite being harried by Miscreants, rebels, and monsters at every turn, Coruscant has survived, and even thrived, despite it's opposition. The peace and stability brought to Coruscant is not done without effort, though. The emperor's intellect and strength are an obvious reason for that, but not even he could manage the thousands of problems that plague Coruscant and it's outlying colonies, such as it's outpost in the Vasty Deeps. Even so, the Emperor knows how to delegate, and for difficult tasks, he calls on the best the empire has to offer to fight, for the future of the empire and the peace of it's citizens. His stormtroopers and space marines are, certainly, powerful enforcers, and are second to none as peacekeeping forces. The Empire's primes are powerful mainstays, either independently policing the realm, or safeguarding the imperium from their homes and roles in Coruscant. But sometimes, the Empire needs something else. Missions that are too difficult, too open-ended for a regular soldier to handle effectively. Cases too sensitive or too private to give to any of the fiercely independent primes that have appeared in the recent wave. Situations that the higher-ups of the Empire are too busy to handle, or so sensitive that their all-too public profile would become a hindrance to completion. In these cases, the Empire calls on the Coruscant Special Operations Regiment, or CSOR - a small group comprised of a handful of especially skilled forces. Their leader, hand-picked by the emperor, chooses select individuals from the other branches of the Coruscant Military and peacekeeping forces to serve - occasionally, he's even been known to enlist a civilian, so long as they agree to go through the appropriate "Catch-up" training. Every member of this force is a highly skilled enforcer, able to take on any mission with a wide range of skills. Additionally, and notably, every single member, without exception, is a secondary. Despite how this seems to be a disadvantage, it's commander is of the firm belief that those without the fear of death cannot possibly work at maximum efficiency on missions of this level of danger. His statement may well be true - CSOR is one of several special operations branches under Palpatine, but it's record is impeccable, and even with the danger of the And soon, it's newest Squad will be put to a test against an enemy unlike anything CSOR has taken on before... ------------------------- Alright, so OOC explaining ime: In the Vein of the Secondary Saga, the Emperor's will is planned to be a guided storyline for those interested. While we won't be going for any void quests, you will be undertaking difficult challenges with a Secondary that you create. Unlike in the secondary saga though, all of you have a common link from the start - you work as one of the Emperor's elite peacekeeping special operatives. For most of you, this will be new, but it's likely you have previously worked for the empire in some capacity - whether as a sailor in the Vasty Deeps, a Stormtrooper policing Coruscant, or even a bureaucrat who used his education benefits to get unusually good with a blaster in hand. Your job in this storyline is to investigate a plot that seemingly gets thicker the more you look, and to try and unravel a threat - not just to coruscant, but potentially to the Omniverse itself! And unlike a prime, there's no god-child to resurrect you if you fall in the line of duty. If this sort of quest interests you, feel free to let me know here. So if you're looking to play an imperial commando, fight off threats to the realm of coruscant, and maybe, if you do enough significant stuff (And if the staff allow it), get to rub it in all of these self-important prime's noses that a mere secondary got personal congratulations from the emperor, at the end of the day. If interest goes well (and if Staff have no issues with what I'm doing), I'll post a thread to sign up a character with in a couple days. sound fair to everyone? RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - The Rogue - 01-13-2017 Yes, sign me up, please, this is a great idea RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Yukki Kazuto - 01-13-2017 This is a super cool idea, I'm game. RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Hiro Protagonist - 01-13-2017 AHHHHH This is actually exactly tthe kind of thing I was looking to do at some point. I'll play Hiro's superior officer, Commander Kinya Caasjuun. Here's the thread wth all of her appearances. http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=5879 RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Sarah Kerrigan - 01-13-2017 I'll probably show more details in the next few days (with the actual start of this SL being somewhere between a few weeks and over a month away), but Kiina should be fine. However, be aware this is a black ops unit - This would count as a "promotion" for her, and while it's certainly not impossible for Hiro or others to regain contact with her, she'll be in a different position and not technically supposed to fraternize with "old companions.". However, as this would be more of a guideline than a general rule, it's possible they might interact still. just be aware you'll likely have far less time or opportunity to include her in your stories, at least until the storyline is finished. RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Alex - 01-13-2017 I guess I didn't click post. Anyway, I'm interested, pending final details. RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Marcus Wright - 01-13-2017 I wouldn't mind doing this. This sounds like a great time. RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - ElFailzalot - 01-13-2017 ![]() I'M INTERESTED RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Amaterasu - 01-13-2017 Secondaries that may die permanently? Nightmarish experience that will traumatize us all? And we probably won't even have any impact on the bigger picture even if we make it? I'm in! RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Alex - 01-13-2017 I feel like I'm the only one without a handy collection of quirky gifs ![]() RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Red - 01-13-2017 i may be interested after switching. idk RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Jade Harley - 01-13-2017 Ooo, this sounds awesome! RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Kelly MacAryn - 01-13-2017 This sound like the kind of thing I'd like to be a part of. If there's room > . > RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Revan Noctis - 01-13-2017 A chance to play and see things from an imperial perspective is quite a tempting offer. I see no real reason not to take it though my only question would be can I know now what armour and weapons you have planned or is that a secret for now? A lot of different special forces within the empire after all but yes the chance to see things from a perspective I personally have had no part in before has grabbed my attention. RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Sans - 01-13-2017 Get me the fuck in this bitch ass. RE: Storyline Interest Check - The Emperor's Will. - Simon - 01-13-2017 Maybe.
