Feedback on new themes - Omni - 11-10-2016 If you find any bugs or have any criticisms, place them all in a neat pile here so I can ignore this topic and them. Positive feedback is welcome too! RE: Feedback on new themes - Mark - 11-10-2016 I'm loving the cleanness of fonts and color choices. Very very nice. I only noticed a couple of things that I can nitpick about. The in-character forums area doesn't extend all the way across the screen on the home page (at least for me), it just leaves a black boxy area; the only exception is the Special Verses forum for some reason. I can post a screenshot if it's helpful. The other two things are not as important: the green background in the Rating section of peoples' profiles is kinda dark and makes usernames hard to read. Also, I dunno if it's possible to make the Latest Activity box collapsible, but that might just be something I want. =P Obviously none of these are super important and I'm cool with just living with them, though! RE: Feedback on new themes - Creatia - 11-10-2016 I love the new look of the Revolution Light theme; it's much easier on the eyes and looks a lot more streamlined and user friendly. However, the drop-down menus still bug out and shift the options far to the edge of the window when you open them, so I can't see what exactly I'm clicking. One other small nitpick is that when I click on the Omniverse banner up top, it doesn't take me straight back to the home page like the old one did. I can live with that, however. RE: Feedback on new themes - Omni - 11-10-2016 What browser, Crea? RE: Feedback on new themes - Creatia - 11-10-2016 Google Chrome browser. It could be that I'm on mobile, but someone else also reported that problem as well I believe. Requesting the desktop site does the same thing as well. RE: Feedback on new themes - Omni - 11-10-2016 Weirdly, it works on my 6-year old phone ![]() Could you try deleting your cache? I've been messing around with the themes a lot, and that might fix it. RE: Feedback on new themes - Creatia - 11-10-2016 All right, cache cleared, cookies cleared just in case, and the drop menus are still shifting to the right. RE: Feedback on new themes - Kelly MacAryn - 11-10-2016 I'm able to see the chatbox regardless of whether or not I've logged in yet, which suggests it might be visible to anybody who visits the sight. Seconding this, I wiped my cache across all synced devices and it still does so. Also yeah, the chatbox is visible when not signed in. I wasn't able to send a message while sign out though, so it might not matter. RE: Feedback on new themes - Omni - 11-10-2016 The chatbox thing was a conscious permissions change that's also now on the old themes (it's nothing to do with the themes). Guests can't actually post in it, but I want them to be able to see the chatter as incentive to join up. It's still disabled for accounts awaiting activation, though, otherwise they'd be able to post in it. RE: Feedback on new themes - Mark - 11-10-2016 Ahh, excellent. Good idea. Showing off our wonderful community is always a good thing. =D Another small thing I noticed, the text cursor when typing new replies seems to not exist or maybe show up as black against the black background. It seeeems to only be a problem in the full reply screen though and not in the quick reply box. RE: Feedback on new themes - Sans - 11-10-2016 I personally like it a fair amount. Just needs some getting used to for me, is all. The one thing I'm gonna nitpick at is that I kinda wish that clicking on the massive title page (the colorful title called The Omniverse all the way at the top,) brought me back to the main index. However, I AM really glad I can see new posts on the side. That's fucking awesome. RE: Feedback on new themes - Spur - 11-10-2016 I'm not totally sold on switching to a darker theme when you visit the page for a "darker" verse. I'm not totally against it, either, though. Seems a bit jarring, right now, but I can see myself getting to like it. I'm also one of the many that navigates home by clicking on the massive Omniverse banner and would love to see that restored. That said I love the activity bar on the right, and I really love the unique versions of the Omniverse banner in each verse. Great work! RE: Feedback on new themes - James Knight - 11-10-2016 I think you should keep this theme, as it is one I enjoy! RE: Feedback on new themes - Beta Ray Bill - 11-10-2016 I am enjoying the new theme but it seem to not be mobile friendly. Trouble with Minor Stuff with site format change - Kaylee - 11-14-2016 I noticed a few minor things I have trouble on mobile since the site got switched up Firstly - Its difficult to use the new drop down bars to change my profile and access the user CP. When I tap it, it shifts all the way to the right off screen. Secondly - When I tried to access the 'Edit Profile' section, all the text was the same color as the background. I thought had disappeared at first. :xd: RE: Feedback on new themes - Mark - 11-15-2016 A couple of other things: is there or can there be a place that shows the time? Helps me to keep track of Greg Standard Time for voting and stuff. Also posts pending approval show as black text with a black background so it's sorta a pain to read. RE: Feedback on new themes - Omni - 11-15-2016 Keep it coming! Theme errors I can fix relatively easily. Mobile compatibility ... less so. RE: Trouble with Minor Stuff with site format change - Schwi Dola - 11-19-2016 On mobile I can't use quick reply because the text input box expands to cover the submit button RE: Trouble with Minor Stuff with site format change - Omni - 11-21-2016 Please keep it consolidated here: http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=7062 |
