The Ashen Blades vs. SoSV (Official Challenge) - Kuzuru - 10-19-2016
Aight so the time is finally here ladies and gents. I'm challenging Ballad and everyone that would defend the criminal scum. My crew and I have successfully earned the right to find and challenge Ballad to a fight. From the looks of things, it will be a 4v4.

Renji
Dawn
Claptrap
Gaige
Society of Supervillains
Ballad
Scarecrow
Koal
Chara
The fight will take place in the Frozen Fields, but we'll need to decide on the start date, judge(s), and the format. Feel free to suggest changes or anything, but I'll put my ideas down below.
For judges I suggest - Omni, Protoman, Jade, Mark
Here is the ruleset I suggest
Word Limit: 1200
Posts Per Player: 1 per round
Random Elements: on
Damage Meter: on
Round Length: 1 week
I also suggest we use the calling system (Similiar to the Nexus Battle) which works like this.
State 1 - No current player has called
You may call a post by stating something to the effect of "I am now writing" or "I am calling now". In this topic. You will then have exactly 3 hours from the time of that post to write a post and then post it in in character topic. Other players may decide to give you additional time. If other players post during this time frame, those posts will be deleted.
State 2 - A player has called
You may indicate your desire to post next, but you may not call until the three hours are up.
State 3 - A call ends
Immediately return to State 1.
We encourage people to be courteous in calling, but if the person who is indicated their desire to go next does not call or come online within 15-20 minutes, we encourage you to call if you are waiting and make a post while you have the opportunity. Extensions beyond the week will not be granted barring extreme exceptional circumstances.
Ballad expressed interest in having everyone split up and doing something similiar to a bunch of one-on-ones. I'm not too keen on this but I figured we could put to vote how we want the fight to play out.
Option 1
[spoiler]1v1 1v1 1v1 1v1 Survivors move onto a final battle
The Ashen Blades will meet the SoSV in a cave system. After some pre-fight dialogue and interaction the SoSV split up and retreat into the cave system. The Ashen Blades will split up as well and everyone will fight alone. The winners of each fight get to join a big brawl at the end.
PROS
-Neat fight mechanics
-Lotsa fights to read/write
-Damage meter becomes more relevant
CONS
-Lotsa fights for judging
-Time consuming[/spoiler]
Option 2
[spoiler]Scaling fight
First round is 1v1s, second round is 2v2, third is 4v4, could even add a fourth round for extra fun.
PROS
-Cool fight mechanic
-Able to interact with others but also have smaller fights
-Less time consuming
-Easier to judge
CONS
-Potentially confusing[/spoiler]
Option 3
[spoiler]4v4
Basically your standard brawl. The Ashen Blades and the SoSV line up and slug it out winner takes all the marbles.
PROS
-Big brawl
-Easier to judge
-Not very time-consuming (Could be wrapped up in 3 weeks+judging time)
CONS
-A lot happening
-Harder to keep track of everything[/spoiler]

I Will say I like the third option best but I don't like the idea of more than two battles one after the other because I don't know if I have the stamina for three or four battles one after the other

Well the first one you would only do two battles total if you win the first one. You'd do a 1v1 and then if you win you'd move onto the brawl at the end.

Also, since Im here, I also like the idea of either Jade or Mark judging the fight. Both are pretty active and good judges in their own rights.
As for starting time, Sunday is a good time for me, since I won't have as much stuff to do during that time.

Option 2 seems a bit confusing in my own opinion. I like option 1 the most. Maybe that's just for my favor though. A 4v4 can be difficult to write keeping track of all eight characters while trying your best to get your character's play across. The way I see it, the fight may even go faster and smoother with 4 different fights. Both sides have been ready to fight and I assume we'll be more than ready for this much anticipated fight. Not to mention the judging might even be made easier if there were seperate fights. I, of course, abide to which ever option is selected but I strongly suggest Option 1.

Alright people let's quit sitting around being too cooperative. We need solid votes on which option we're going to do or this thread will go dead and I for one hate dead threads. I say we put it to a SOLID vote. Choose just one of the options. The most votes is the way we fight.

Aight looks like option 1 won. I asked Jade if she'd be willing to judge and she said she would. Probably wouldn't hurt to ask Mark if he wanted to help as well.
Now how do we decide 1v1 partners? Random draw? Or whut?
I'll make a post to get my crew there for some pre-fight shenanigans in the mean-time. Hopefully we can get this thing started this week.
