If I had more time, I'd run a newbie campaign, but alas, reallife hates me with a passion. Also you can download any of the editions books in a pdf. Just search - "D&D PhB 'n'e PDF" n being the edition number.

I am able to run sessions of 3.5 or 5.0
I recommend 5.0 for beginners.
A you should need is the player handbooks for either version

Perhaps conveniently, and completely coincidentally, I am currently setting up to run a game for D&D 5e. Pre-made module (Storm King's Thunder, specifically), and got up to 4 spots open as of the moment. Lemme know if you crazy folks are interested.

I would love to but it just hit me that the time difference means that when it's night here it's morning there and etc. I don't know if that makes a big a difference.
