Hello, everyone! Now that I've been officially accepted, I wanted to make this introduction thread where I could wax poetically about the "good old days".
I was Jackie Chun/Amadeus/Tamsin on Chubbs and Cooler on DBZ: Evolution. Most of you probably never even knew me, let alone remember me now. I was never particularly active nor a particularly good writer, so I was always on the sidelines. Nevertheless, I had plenty of fun during my days on Chubbs. Most of the staff was nice and very competent (Burter/Ander in particularly did an amazing job running Dante's Abyss 2009), though I never talked to them much, and I have fond memories of people such as Mal Nova, Vad, Kazuya, Sage and others who made my stay within the community quite pleasant.
To tell you the truth, I feel some degree of regret (though that's perhaps putting it a bit over-dramatically) over leaving the community back in 2010. Had I remained active, not only would I have become a better writer and further developed my character and her relationships, I also would have helped in keeping up the activity there. But alas, I lost my interest and motivation....and by the time I was thinking of making a return, the site had become very inactive. It's even worse now that the site suffers from serious database errors that completely prevents registered users from posting as well as viewing some of the material on it.
Seriously, I'd gladly pay someone to fix that issue; while it's probably too late to salvage the community, at least the material on it could then be archived.On a less depressing note, during a recent visit to the site, I saw the advertisement Omni posted there. Happy to hear of a place where former Chubbsians were gathering again, I decided to join and...well, here I am. We can't change the past, but we can work on making a better future. So I hope we'll have some good, fun times here, just like we did on Chubbs.

Hey! I remember Jackie Chun the best. You joined when I was still Goku there and one of the first things you did was to ask me to spar, since they had a relationship from the show. I ended up being Orion, if that helps your memory.

Jackie Chun! You were like CU's slow-posting mascot :p Love ya man. Glad someone saw the 'beacon'. They made a subreddit over at r/chubbs as well but it's as dead as the site unfortunately.

Yea, man, a chunk of this website is CU alumni, and I wager we'll all remember you! We even have Retane, who I believe you roleplayed with near the end of your Tamsin run.

:lol: Oh man, the naiveté of youth....just thinking about those days makes me feel incredibly embarrassed. :oops: But yeah, I do remember you as well. In fact, I remember how impressive you were as Goku, particularly in that titanic fight....I think it was you vs Broly in a DA sort of event (at least I think you still played Goku then). Back then, I thought you should have been the winner.....but it was a pretty close fight.
Anyway, nice to see you too.

I do remember you! Vaguely, since I don't think we interacted much, but I do remember an Android 16. And likewise! I look forward to seeing what you can do as Vincent.

Hey, man! We didn't interact much either, but I do remember you being a pretty awesome writer. I guess it's no surprise you're one of the top dogs of the Omniverse right now.
And yeah, I noticed that Mal joined recently! He seems to be absent right now, but I'll have to get in touch with him when he gets back.

I was Blue/Spopovich back on Chubbs. Also played Ash Williams and Ganondorf (for the most part) on AD. So, I remember your Zerg guy, but not much else you did.
Also, I'm already the slow-posting mascot of this site. Find your own thing!

I can't believe someone actually remembers my prestigious role as the Zerg Drone. :lol: Anyway, I remember a Blue/Spopovich, but I don't recall if we ever interacted. Either way, it will be nice to remedy that this time around.
And is that a challenge I hear? I bet I can post much slower than you can.
