SWAPPING: Phoenix Wright - Super Mario - 09-05-2016

Character name: Phoenix Wright

Character source: Ace Attorney

Character history: This iteration of Wright comes from directly after Spirit of Justice. (yes, I played the Japanese version.)

Physical Description:

Stats:
ATK: 0
DEF: 5
SPD: 1
TEC: 4

Starting Proficiencies: (3400); Physical (1000), Ranged (1000), Debuff (1000), Area Shield (400)

Starting Powers: N/A

Starting Moves:
Questioning (600, Physical Proficiency): Depending on which mode (Trial/Turnabout) he's in, Wright will either yell "Objection!", or "Hold it!". This is purely an aesthetic change, and doesn't change the use of the move. A white, spiky speech bubble will appear with the words he says written in red text. This bubble is about a yard tall, and a yard wide. If it hits, then it will do a small amount of damage. However, if Wright hits the opponent three times with this move in a fight, then it will impose a stun effect on his opponent, that lasts around two minutes.

Evidence Gathering (0, Fodder): Wright will duck down, looking for evidence on the ground. This takes around three seconds. During this, a three-sided die is rolled. If it lands on 1, this move will yield bad evidence. This leaves nothing for Wright to use. If it lands on two or three, then Wright will gather usable evidence, which can be used as ammunition for Evidence Submission. This is nothing but a way to RP reloading. The roll can be completely bypassed in favor of good evidence if one wishes. This requires a cooldown of three seconds.

Evidence Submission (300, Ranged Proficiency): After gathering evidence, Phoenix will shove it forward. If it's good evidence, then it will shoot a beam of light directly forward, for about ten meters, doing somewhat good damage. This takes about two seconds to execute. Afterwards, it has a grand total of fifteen seconds of cooldown. However, if Phoenix pulls out bad evidence, it will do the exact same thing, just without the beam. Useless time to waste. Wright can hold three pieces of evidence at once, yet can only re-gather one at a time.

Paperwork Storm (300, Area Shield): Phoenix summons a stack of papers, throwing them in front of him. While these do no damage (besides paper cuts maybe, but that makes no difference), they do block Wright and anyone behind him from being hit by normal moves. The area of effect is about six feet high, and three feet wide. The papers stay in the air for five seconds. This takes around two seconds to summon the paper, and he can't use it again for another ten seconds.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

RE: SWAPPING: Phoenix Wright - Omni - 09-06-2016

Just as a query, how do you plan on Phoenix participating and defending himself in fights? Will he be purely a support figure to stun, etc? Maybe you could explain the concept of bit more of evidence.

Objectioning: why is this 600?

Evidence Submission. The beam of light doesn't say what it does. I'm assuming it's damage but please state for the record.

RE: SWAPPING: Phoenix Wright - Super Mario - 09-06-2016

He's mainly going to be a support figure, but I have an assist planned for later down the road, as well as a power-up.

Objection is 600, because it does damage, but only stuns on it's third time hitting.

The beam is for damage, yes.

And as for evidence, what exactly did you want to know?

Either way, everything that needed to be edited is edited.

RE: SWAPPING: Phoenix Wright - Omni - 09-06-2016

I get the concept of evidence but are fights with Phoenix going to be re-tailored into battles of evidence, guilt, etc?

RE: SWAPPING: Phoenix Wright - Super Mario - 09-06-2016

No, it's still normal fighting style. I'm just basing his moveset off of his UMvC3 moveset. Otherwise, he really wouldn't work well in the Omniverse.

RE: SWAPPING: Phoenix Wright - Omni - 09-06-2016

Very well then. Objection only needs to be 300 as it always works the same way (stuns after three hits). Please fill in this roster sheet and submit it to the roster forum.
