Clearly cybernetic and non-human in nature, he is composed almost entirely of sharp lines and angles, and bears a blade emitter on his right arm, which surrounds his hand in a large energy blade when activated. Crackles with blue lightning when in use, and is extremely hot to the touch, but otherwise functions as a standard sword. Switching it on or off only takes roughly half a second. Holy Thunder Saber: Zero charges for two seconds, before releasing an uppercut strike with his saber, calling down a bolt of lightning where his saber struck. Triple Mag Saber: If a target is struck by the lightning from Holy Thunder Saber, Zero strikes quickly back down with a crushingly powerful blow of his saber, aiming to completely flatten them into the ground. Step Shield: Zero can form a small, point-defense shield to ward off lesser strikes. It only takes half a second or so to form, but the shield is only about two feet in diameter and not overly powerful. More intended for taking the bite out of stronger attacks than actually stopping them, or for fending off faster, weak attacks. For whatever reason, she moved out into the Jungle where Hare would lead a fairly routine and peaceful existence. That is until one day, his mom brought home an orphaned child named Guu. Turns out Guu was a reality warper and she would use her powers to make his life a living hell. He spent a year under her metaphorical thumb. Then one day, she vanished. Everyone buy him forgot she ever existed. He thought his life would get normal after that, but then he found himself in the Omniverse. Physical Description: He’s a dark skinned boy with short blue hair donning ahoge. His eyes are the same color as his hair. He’s most often seen in a white sleeveless shirt and red shorts, though he does don different clothing when he’s not in the jungle. However, along with using it for cooling, if swung like a bat, it’ll do about the damage of a usual blunt weapon. It’s light weight allows for a fairly good attacking speed, playing well with Hare’s natural stats. It’s 8-inches in length and even has a brown leather sheath built to be worn on the back that may fool some into thinking it’s a blade. On every day of the month that is a prime number, the fan will display the face of Guu. This is a reminder of her constant presence in his psyche. Character source: Original (Dungeons and dragons, custom campaign) Starting Proficiencies: Physical Proficiency (1000), Ranged proficiency (1000), Buff Proficiency (400) Starting Powers: none Starting Moves: Great Maul (300 OM) - Sona wields an enormous hammer, the head of the double-sided hunk of metal being twice as large as her own. The weapon is anything but fast, and requires Sona to wield it with two hands, but offers tremendous reach and power. Handaxes: (600 OM) When Sona's forced to fight at longer ranges, she'll switch to her handaxes. Sona has up to four on her person at any time, all of which she can easily grab from a loop on her belt. They fly roughly twenty feet at the speed of a baseball before starting to arc, flying twenty feet longer after this distance, but suffering from drag, lowering the speed and damage incrementally until the axe falls to the ground. Sona can also use these as back-up melee weapons for when her Maul is taken away from her or in close-quarters combat where it's too large to use effectively. Inspiring words (300 OM): Sona's a former military captain, and as a result she's learned how to throw a few words of encouragement at just the right times. When an ally is fighting in clear earshot of Sona, Sona can yell something inspiring and clear, giving them easy instructions to follow to help them beat the current bruiser they're tackling. This ability effectively gives the ally a small burst of speed, similar to but not as fast or effective as the burst movement power. Sona can only do this about once a minute during combat - Speeches get old when you hear them too many times too quickly, ya know? For many decades, her race has been in an epic conflict with another race of beings, the Solmiir, themselves of divine origins. Her world has long gone in an endless cycle of war between the two peoples. Sona does not give one lick about any of that. Raised away from her people, Sona grew up around mostly humans. Her parents, weary of conflict, had moved far away from the Akame conflict, and spoke little of Sona's race to her. While they had decided to raise her away from conflict, Sona seemed to have a talent for finding it, and though she was kept from anything worse than a bar-room scuffle when she was young (how she kept sneaking into the bar was an oft-discussed subject that eventually inspired local folklore), as her parents got older, and sicker, Sona was quickly able to realize her talent and interest in using her natural ability to smash people three times her size with objects three times her weight. She eventually joined a mercenary outfit, initially in order to take care of her aging parents. Rising through the ranks quickly, she found she quite liked the excitement and fun that came with the mercenary life. After just a few years, Sona worked herself up to a promotion to captain, only to find that her outfit was starting to be steered more and more towards working with the Solmiir. She did a few jobs for the rats, but it became increasingly obvious that there was a bias against her race, despite the victories she managed for them (and despite doing it without a single peep about some of their less reputable tactics and increasing use of her outfit to take the brunt of every battle). After a while, she finally talked with the leader of her outfit about it, only to come to an Impasse: Sona wasn't about to continue working for these people, but the Mercenary-general (A self-made title) wasn't about to turn down the pay he was getting for all of this. So, in lieu of actually firing her, Sona was given a leave of absence for a few years, an "unofficial" vacation. She wasn't exactly pleased about this to begin with, but she eventually found paying work as a bodyguard for a travelling bard of questionable talent, and even if the pay was terrible, the work environment was pleasant. It was just before she and her musical employer, Rafhorn, were about to enter a snowy fort that she found herself suddenly sucked into the omniverse. This cycle has had a devastating effect on the land, where progress has meant massive deforestation, pollution and extinction at nature's expense. The march of societal advancement has grown in recent times, and only small areas have been untouched. Born and raised in a small village in the forest, Ilarin was taught from a young age to respect nature and to understand the balance; that is, if one takes from nature, then one must ensure they take only what they need to survive. Over time, he learned the ways of the bow and arrow, and the spiritual leader of his village unlocked a special gift in him; the ability to communicate with the animals, and sense the spirits of the forest. Joining the others who possess this gift, the life wardens, Ilarin dedicated himself to fighting off any who would rape the earth for profit. In recent years, Ilarin journeyed to the icy south to stop giant machines from drilling into the tundra for oil and magical gems. It was here, sabotaging these drills, that he and his snow hawk Rikandrias (ric-anne-dree-us) were stolen away from one white landscape and into another... A short brown goatee covers his chin, and long, stringy brown hair flows down to the middle of his back. His green eyes, once blue, are piercing. He wears leather pants, boots, gloves and jerkin, with a studded leather vest for extra protection, old draping chainmail that covers his crotch and an iron spaulder on his left shoulder. He has a maroon cape and currently wears a shaggy wolf-skin cloak. Rikandrius stands about two and a half feet tall, with thick white-brown feathers covering her. Kestrel called her "the bossy one", which may be true. She thinks of herself as the leader of the five dragonets. Tsunami appears to be a good fighter and she is never afraid to voice her opinion, even to the ferocious Kestrel. Another example of this is when Tsunami yells that new dragons should automatically go to the front of the line when they are going to see the RainWing queen. She also resented the fact that they were held captive by the Talons of Peace, and then by Queen Scarlet; therefore she values her freedom and independence very highly. However, she was also fiercely devoted to her friends and would not do anything to hurt them; she refused to hurt Starflight when Queen Scarlet pitted them against each other. She also seems extremely protective; she managed to distract an IceWing from killing Clay in a battle by throwing herself off the pinnacle she was chained to, dragging a ton of other prisoners that were chained to her in the process, an almost suicidal move with wing clips on. This shows that she would willingly risk her life or sacrifice herself to save her friends, and that she is fiercely loyal. Tsunami sometimes jumps to conclusions without thinking, as shown when she attacked a SkyWing when she assumed that he was going to capture her friends. Sometimes, her more reckless behavior can land her in trouble. It is hinted that Tsunami fears her own power and impulsive violence. She considered attacking the guards to retrieve the key to free her friends in The Lost Heir, but suddenly remembered what she felt when she was fighting Gill. She wonders if she was going to hurt dragons just for being in her way. Tsunami realizes that these dragons have family and friends, and that they were more than nameless guards. She doesn't want to be terrifying and violent like her mother, Queen Coral, can be. She is quite freaked about turning into a scavenger (what dragons call humans, since they can't understand them) and is searching for a way to get back to her normal form and back home to Pyrrhia. Stats: ATK: 2 DEF: 1 SPD: 2 TEC: 5 Proficiencies: Melee Proficiency (1000) Powers: Basic Enhanced Senses (1400) Extending to both forms, the extent of her Enhanced Senses allow her to see perfectly in pitch-black darkness, although if it's too dark, her vision becomes black and white. Fodder: Glowing Stripes (0) Since Tsunami can see in the dark already, she'll use these stripes to guide others in the dark. Gills (0) Oh yes. There are no gills in the picture, but just pretend they are. These gills allow her to breathe in freshwater or saltwater. However, they have their weaknesses. If she swims in chlorine-filled or polluted water, she'll die. And they are vulnerable spots in battle. I will post a second Secondary later. RE: [Secondary Saga II ] - Rules and sign up form - Doomguy - 09-12-2016 Character Name: Jeremy Herdson Character Source: Dungeons and Dragons (OC) Description: ![]() History: Born the youngest and smallest in a family of his 4 brothers and 3 sisters, Jeremy was often bullied by the bigger children of the village. Despite learning to fight form his warrior father and even braving the forests to get training from a hermit wizard that lived there, he was still to weak to win a straight fight and learning magic that could help would take years. Although his siblings would usually be there to defend him, he knew that would not always be the case. One day, a band of minstrels passed through and performed as they stayed at the local inn. Jeremy of course went, although he could not enjoy it full with such heavy thoughts on his mind. But an elven singer among them noticed the sad child, and asked why weighted his heart so. Caught of guard, he answered truthfully: That he couldn't fight his own fights. he was then given a lesson he would take to heart: If he can make others love him, he could avoid fighting altogether. From there his heart was lifted and he watched as the entertainers awed and amazed the crowd. But what could he do? He couldn't sing, or do magic tricks. But he remembered the jokes his mother liked to make to make his father laugh. So he tried that. He started by repeating those he heard from the adults, and slowly learned to add his own humor and acts that made the kids laugh. Soon the bullies stopped, either because they like his or because the friends he gathered made it too much trouble. He grew up to be a handsome and charismatic, if still weak, adult. But the adult world was full of bullies too. The lord was corrupt, placing taxes on the villages under his control and often time taking from their stocks to host his grand parties, even during famine and plague. He had even skimmed from the royal tithes and framed the peasants for lacking. No one would stand up against him, however, as the riches he pulled was spent to pay for his "royal guard", in reality thugs he kept fed and well armed to harasses those who weren't a part of his circle and to keep others silent. But Jeremy was never one to be silent. He would he would make bold insults towards the man when he could. About his weight, about his manhood, about his fashion. It started crass and nothing that the lord would care about. But soon the barbs got deeper and more pointed toward his corruption, his ineptitude at command, and the criminals he employed. And as they spread, the fear of the lord washed away. Enraged, the lord threw his men at this jester and placed and bounty on his head for good measure. While Jeremy knew he could not win in a fair fight, he was no longer a small boy. He had learned well from his father and the wizard, and in honor of the mistrals that taught him he learned the trades of a bard. When the thugs drew camp outside his home, he walked out to face them. He jeered and sung horrid limericks that assaulted their ears. He danced and tumbled out of the way of arrows and fireballs. They chased them deep into the forest he knew in his youth, and blundered into traps and monster nests hidden by illusions. They chased him deep into the heart of the woods, driven by anger and greed. But what they chased was itself an illusion until it was too late and they were never seen again. Without his army of thugs, the lord's deeds spread quickly until it reached the ears of the king. He sent his men to investigate the lord and found him of treason. The people were free of his rule. Jeremy was happy to see his people happy, but he himself felt ready to go out into the world and make a name for himself. He became an adventurer, fighting (and mocking) evil wherever it came from and made sure to live to tell the tale. After a many dungeons blundered and dragons defeated, he would be brought into the Omniverse during one of his acts on the inn stage. It was a tough crowd, anyway. Personality: Quick witted and silver tongue, as a bard Jeremy is always someone who loves to tell and hear a good story, especially if it's one he's a part of. He'll quick to laugh, always speaks what's on his mind when he feels it, often in the form of some joke or snide comment. Rarely does he pass the chance to make fun of people, and it enjoys it when people make fun of him. He does not respect authority (not the laws, per say, just the people of it) and is quick to point out their flaws (since, after all, that is what a jester does!). Despite being rough around the edges, he is quick to help others in need and had a generally optimistic outlook on life. He only complains slightly at bad circumstances and is willing to work with anyone towards a common goal so long as they can tolerate his constant puns. Stats: ATK: 2 DEF: 2 SPD: 3 TCH: 3 Proficiency: Physical Strength (1000), Ranged (1000), Debuff (1000) Powers: Basic Jump (300), Master Acrobat (400) Moves: Rapier (300 OM) (Requires Physical Strength): Since he's not strong enough to wield a long sword, he instead sticks to the rapier, where his speed and it better defense allows him to keep his enemies away with quick jabs until an opening shows itself. Its lacks in weight makes it weak at swipes, but lets Jeremy keeps light on his feet and a heavy thrust can do serious damage. Vicious Mockery: (300 OM) (requires Ranged and Debuff): With a little magic, Jeremy can make his insults physically hurt as well! If his target can hear him (they don't necessarily need to understand it), he can throw his insult at a single target in earshot, hurting their mind as if they had suffered from a severe headache. Not only they, those that he these barbs are less likely to hit someone if they attack anyone as they question themselves (or are just too pissed off to think straight). Of course, Jeremy must come up with new material each time or the effect is weakened and particularly egotistical or sure of themselves targets might also be effected less. Illusion: (600 OM) (requires Ranged and Debuffs): The power of illusions can cause many fools to think wasn't not there is there, they are to senses as lies are to the mind. Given a second to cast, Jeremy can cause a simple illusion to appear wherever he has line of sight. It can be of whatever he can think of, either a silent image no bigger than a 15 feet cube or disembodied sounds , and can be complicated enough to fool any casual observation. Given four seconds to cast, and he can make a much more convincing illusion with all both sight and sound can be as large as a 30 feet cube that only be dispelled by very observant people or magic (or just poking it, as illusions cannot hold physical space).
