[Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Creatia - 08-29-2016 It was a darker section of one of Coruscant's pristine shopping districts. Metallic buildings towered over black asphalt. A few blurs of cars raced past vibrant crowds of all sizes and types strolling and jogging along the sidewalks. Night had long fell, and the pale lighting of a few local storefronts had flickered out to signify closing time. It was in the shadows underneath one of these dimmed shops that a lone woman waited in what some would see as an odd sort of attire for a female her age. Outfitted in a dress lined with princessly frills, she stood there in silence. She pushed up her lacy bell sleeve to check her watch while waiting in the shade that lined the concrete. An impatient tap of her Mary Janes clicked against the path. Blue eyes scanned the area left and right while she brushed back a few brunette strands. She was clearly waiting for someone. I gave up two hours of checking inventory at the shop for this date. He had better show up... Her pink-stained lips turned downward as she took another look at her watch. Sakura Mikeru took her sweet time initially when she first started her trip. After getting an invite to meet in person and setting up the finer details, she closed up her tea shop in the Moors to hop a ride to Coruscant. Now, here she was, waiting for someone named Eddy. Or at least that's how he introduced himself in his profile... which didn't appeal to Sakura that much. I should've just stayed home. He seems like one of those playboy types. But... when was the last time I... Her face flushed at the thought. Yes, that was the only reason she accepted his invitation to meet. Other than that reason, she didn't expect much else from this. She assumed him to be a player, a man not worthy of much else in terms of relationships. So she planned to take this date in stride. Treat others according to how they act. Maybe by doing so, she can avoid dirtying her new dress. But that risk may not arise if he didn't arrive soon. Five more minutes. That's all I'm giving him. Then I'm shopping for a new petticoat and going home. With that firmly in mind, Sakura continued to wait. RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Sans - 08-30-2016 “And how do I look in these?” The woman raised the red-colored glasses to her face, placed them on her head, and did a pose that involved putting her open palm against her lips. “I could eat you whole,” the vampire said, chuckling as he took her in his arms. The lady giggled, her hands sliding up to his shoulders as he leaned them both back like they were in the middle of a dance routine. They stared into each other’s eyes for a few moments, soaking in each other’s beauty. Her name was Sarah Renegade, a woman in her mid-twenties whom he had discovered on his thousandth or so visit on oHarmony.com. She had only be looking for a quick fling while her husband was away at work, to let go of some frustration. Of course, He decided that the man she had chosen was not the man she had wanted after all. What was supposed to be a day long sex night soon turned into a typical star-crossed lovers romance that spanned through whole months. Through that, they had learned so much about each other. How long they could go during sex, what kind of sex they liked, and, most importantly, their kinks. He glanced down towards her neck, seeing the multitudes of hickeys on them. He had done his best not to render them as conversion bites; he didn’t want to know how she would react if she became a vampire without his consent. And then, the moment of truth. After what felt like forever, Eddy leaned forward, connecting his mouth to hers. They kissed for a long time, enjoying each other’s warmth and love for as long as they possibly could. The hugged each other, pulling each other close in their loving embrace. However, all good things came to an end. Mulligan knew this; after all, this hadn’t been the first time he had been in a position like this to kiss. Heck, Sarah wasn’t even the first person to come to him just to fuck him and let off some steam. But he allowed it; it was helpful to them, if anything else. As slow as a sloth, he pulled himself away from her, licking his lips to savor the taste. Sarah looked at him, her glasses hiding the state of her eyes, but it was clear to him how she was feeling. “Do you have to go?” she said. He took a deep breath, his long, slender hands moving into his pockets. He didn’t know how often he had been asked this question, from both man and woman. Did he have to go? Not really… but there was other fish he had to fry. Besides, he had commitments to others… to the special ones. The rings on his finger felt rather tight, though not like a handcuff. It was more like the tightness of a wife or husband’s hug as they clasped their arms around you, reminding you that, no matter what happened or may happen, that no matter the circumstances, no matter what they say, they always, always, love you from the bottom of their heart. How could he break such a commitment? Granted, he broke them on a daily basis, but they would understand, right? A man needs to get some tension released every once in awhile. Eddy Mulligan raised his head to look at Sarah, his face solemn as he reached into his robes. The woman rolled her eyes as he pulled out a book. “I once swore an oath to Him that, no matter the circumstances, I would never lie. Honesty is a virtue that all God-believing folk follow and uphold.” “Oh, you and your lectures,” she replied, smiling. “Oh, shush, this one’s important!” he said, “and, with that in mind, I will not lie to you. This just won’t work out in the end, I feel.” “Eddy..” she said as she rubbed her hands together, “quit the nonsense. I’ve had more fun with you than I’ve ever had with my bitch of a husband. You swept me off my feet and took me into a world I could never dreamed existed. You can’t just leave… not after all we’ve done… we’re meant for each other.” “No,” he said, “that is where you are incorrect, my sweet Renegade.” He held out his hand, waiting for her to take it. Once she did, they walked out into the street. He pointed up towards the night sky, the artificial stars shining down on them like fireflies. “He,” he said “guides us. He leads us. Without Him, I wouldn’t know how I’d still be alive. I…” He paused for a moment, biting his tongue. Sarah frowned; in all her time with him, he never once choked up. “I owe Him everything.” “I don’t see what you mean..” she whispered. “Sarah, the point I’m trying to make is,” he replied, looking back to her, “there will always be someone who is better than me. There already IS someone better than me; someone who you will love more than me. And I understand that; I’ve lived a million or so years and I’ve seen this happen more times than I can count and I’ve learned that, more than anyone else..” He stretched his raised arm as high as he could, as if to touch the sky itself. “He loves you. Even if no one else does, if you don’t think anyone else cares about you, He does. If anyone is the right one for you, He is.” He stopped talking, his speech over. The two were silent for a long time, the lights of the shops around them flickering off as they closed. It was time for them to part ways; one of them was going to have to make the first move. “I...I hope you understand,” he said, lowering his arms. “I…” the lady with the red glasses whispered, sparkling tears sliding down her face, “I understand. Continue your work, you goddamn saint.” “Eh, saint’s a strong word,” he said, sparking a chuckle out of her as they kissed for the last time. They soon walked away from each other, into the unknown. --------------------------- He raised his watch up as he walked alongside the sidewalk of the shopping district the date had asked to go to. He was running REALLY late. Looked like he was gonna have to keep on his priest robes. Fine by him; he wore them most of the time, anyway. He DID, however, slide off the wedding rings on his ring finger. He had seen the profile of his new date: Sakura. He wasn’t going to risk potential hostility over some commitments. RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Creatia - 08-31-2016 Tap tap. A sigh. Tap tap tap. A louder sigh. Sakura was gradually losing her patience as the time ticked by slowly. Another glimpse at the face of her wristwatch indicated she had waited five minutes longer than she had planned. "I can't believe this," she hissed. She just got stood up, didn't she? Her small mouth pressed into a displeased line that tugged at her eyes. All this for nothing. He's lucky he let me choose where our first date should be. And she was in luck. A few stores that specialized in her kind of wear would still be open at this hour, so from here she chose to cut her losses and call for a taxi. From her tiny pink purse, she retrieved her cell phone. Two texts, both from staff members stationed at the shop. She dismissed her notifications. They'll have to wait. She was in the mood for drowning her murderous tension in shopping... Unless her date showed up last minute while she began to dial for a taxi driver. Then he'll have to be one hell of a sweet talker to calm her silent but rising anger. RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Sans - 09-03-2016 Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit… Those were the thoughts running through Mulligan’s head as he speed-walked through the shopping district, speeders of all sizes and colors flying through the sky and in between the silver skyscrapers around him. After all, he had just dumped his most recent girlfriend, leaving her to God’s judgement in the face of the unpredictable nature of a dictatorship like Coruscant, and was running five minutes later than he should have been for his new date. As if that wasn’t bad enough, this NEW date was, if her oHarmony profile was correct, at least a little bit psychotic. That wasn’t the thing that put him on edge, though; at least this new date could handle a playboy well enough if she was calm. He only needed to feel the several rings in the pockets of his white robes to understand the true gravity of what he was doing. The golden metal that once brought a feeling of warmth and understanding to him now shot a cold chill up his spine. If this was back home, he wouldn’t think twice about this. But he was in the Omniverse, a land filled with unusual beasties. And, unlike back home, he wasn’t immortal. He sighed, tapping his hands inside his pockets. Keep calm, man. You’ve been through much worse than this. I mean, it could be that one lady who tried to cut your head off because she identified as a grasshopper, so… Rounding the corner, he looked up, seeing his date with a phone in her hand. She looked… rather pretty, he had to admit. Certainly not the prettiest person he’d ever seen, but he knew from experience that looks rarely determined the enjoyment of a date. He’d been with some ugly bitches, but for some reason, they were always the best sex partners. He never quite got that. He could only assume it was God’s way of apologizing to them. The date, whose name was Sakura, wore what appeared to be a princess-like dress, similarly princess-like high heels, and gorgeous hair. To him, she looked like a Victorian-age upper-class woman, so he had to guess that she was from Camelot; she had some pretty hefty balls to do that, especially considering the not-so-stable stunt going on between the duo. He had to say he was impressed. But would she forgive him for arriving late? Only one way to find out. Taking a deep breath, he kept his hands in his pockets as he walked towards her from across the street. She did not notice him due to her staring at her phone, dialing for the taxi. It was only when she brought it up to her ear did she see him, and he was a couple feet away, hands stuffed into his pockets and an awkward smile on his face. “Uh… excuse me..” he said, his cheeks blushed red, “are you… Sakura? I’m, uh… Eddy Mulligan.” RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Creatia - 09-03-2016 A tap of her thumbpad against the screen ended her call just as the driver picked up. Her new petticoat may have to be delayed. Sakura gave the man an unamused once over. Priest robes. He wasn't that bad of a looker either. That blush though, and that meek way of greeting the bitter female... I may enjoy myself... Emphasis on "may." Her cheeks lifted as she treated him to a light smile accompanied with glittering eyes. Her stern tenor broke the illusion. "...You're late. How rude of you," she stated. She replaced her phone into her purse. Her voice took on a patient air as she turned back to him, that sugar sweet expression still plastered on her face. "But I forgive you," she sang to the man. Now the tone of her words matched her face; she appeared to be delighted to see him regardless. "Yes, I am Sakura, Sakura Mikeru. The pleasure is mine... Eddy, is it?" She stepped closer, her hands clasped in front of her skirt. "So... do you have an idea where we're going on our date? Or are you the type to.... Improvise?" Unless he can prove to be more than capable of taking the reins, we're going shopping in the mall down the street, then having dinner at that little cafe on the corner of Second Main Street, then we'll take a nice stroll through one of the parks near the skyline before "judgement time" at a nearby hotel. A perfect date for a perfect lady. She clearly had their date all planned out from the beginning. All she needed was for him to comply or impress her with a better idea. From the way things were starting out, she didn't care too much on what they ended up doing. However if he made one vulgar misstep, she was going to cut his throat with the blade hidden in her skirts. Her smile widened slightly with no hint of malice; Sakura expected him to mess up. She waited quietly for his reply. RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Sans - 09-14-2016 "Yeah, uh... sorry about that. Got caught trying to swipe a stormtrooper off of his feet. Let's just say that it took me some time trying to get him off me." It appeared as if his prediction of her being somewhat of a Victorian Age style woman was at least partially correct. Aside from the decidedly more modern gear, she held all the details of a English women in the 1600s. Was that red lipstick on her lips as well? Goodness, if he hadn't checked her profile on oHarmony, he would have assumed her to be a prude. Of course, as he had learned a lot in the past, looks are the most deceiving things about a person. After all, if she was so prudish, why would she go after a guy like him? A self-proclaimed womanizer and playboy? Hell, now that he thought about it, why WAS someone like her on a dating site? Was she really that desperate? That was usually the case with most of the people he had met on there. Only one really fast way to find out. "The one and only," he replied, holding his arms out to the sky, as if to accept the embrace of God himself. All that was missing was the choir and spotlight. He admittedly looked a little bit goofy, but he was willing to make a joke at his own expense if it meant satisfying this woman. After all, she probably wouldn't like it if, say, the dating website's claim of "satisfaction guaranteed" turned out to be not as true to heart as originally believed. Upon her asking him whether he had any plans for the date, he lowered his arms, keeping his eyes on her. He brought a hand to his pale chin, rubbing it as he pondered. "Tell you the truth, I've always been a man, or vampire, in this case, who's none too picky. Wherever you go, I'll go." Hopefully, his response was adequate enough to not get him murdered by some rich lady with a passion for murder. RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Creatia - 09-28-2016 Eddy's initial introduction complete with an awkward pose did raise a brunette eyebrow in distaste. Yet his response earned the vampiric priest a darling smile from Sakura's cherry red lips, though it also held a hint of quiet danger. "That, good sir, is more than fine with me," she replied. His seemingly submissive and easygoing air may have made up for his tardiness... Or maybe not. Behaviours can be easily faked, so she proceded with her usual 'weeding test.' "Since the night is up to me, we're going to the Mall of Coruscant down the street for a shopping date first," she stated with a matter of fact air. Her commanding tone made it clear she was calling the shots. She started to walk ahead with the clear expectation that he was to follow her and pay close attention, turning her head every so often to check his distance from her. "Dinner will be at the Key Lime Café on Second Main Street. If anything catches your eye along the way, do let me know... As long as it's not another female." Her eyes narrowed for emphasis before rounding out to a welcoming glitter. "But enough about that. Do tell me about yourself," she cooed with a spark of muted delight, her cheeks raised even higher from her fascinated smile, "From those rather dashing robes, it's clear that you are a man of the cloth. What congregation are you with? What is your deity?" She planned appropriate responses to each possible answer while waiting for his responses. Hailing Omni would grant Eddy more insight into Sakura's fanatical psyche; hailing another deity would lessen her mood toward the man in a drastic fashion. The knife is for his religion seeing Sakura's savior as an Antichrist. RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Sans - 10-02-2016 That smile... Her rosy red lips had curved into a smirk that, from anyone else, might have driven him up the wall in excitement (and not necessarily THAT kind, either.) From her, though, it made his heart thump. With what he knew from her profile, the way she smiled at him was less reminiscent of a lover, and more comparable to that of a psychotic. He had met people like her before; men and women just like her. It was always a risk facing them, and even with dozens of encounters to work off of, he still couldn't stop his heart from beating a mile a minute whenever he met another one. They were always bad news, and Sakura was no exception. But if he had always called off dates because of how potentially dangerous they were, then what kind of God-loving man would he be? How would he be able to spread the love and happiness of the deities above if he was too scared to do it? Only a coward lacks ambition. As she listed off her plan for the evening, he maintained his welcoming smile, nodding in understanding as he kept his eyes squarely on her. He decided to keep close to her as they walked to their destination, if only for her to see he was at least semi-serious about the date. He chuckled as she narrowed her eyes at him, more than likely referencing his rather "experienced" oHarmony profile, shall we say. "Don't worry, madam. I may be a bit of a playboy, but I can assure you that I will not gaze at anyone else other than you," he said, his fangs visible within his smile. They continued walking, passing by stores, other restaurants, and other couples walking past them. Coruscant wasn't known for being a diverse place in terms of its cast, yet here they were, passing by interracial couples, some aliens, etc. He probably would have recognized at least a few of them if he hadn't been maintaining his promise to not look at anyone else but Sakura. Of course, he did not want to create a potential scene. So, walking up to her until he was right by her side, he slid his pale hand towards hers. It was also about this time she asked for his deity of worship. The Lord would not like a vampire who lied. He promptly stopped, his hands firm around Sakura's as he spoke. "Tell you the truth, I'm a religious vampire, but I have never truly identified with any singular deity," he said, glancing up to the heavens above, "I have found that, in the long years I have been alive, that the deities above are all... remarkably similar. All of them. The only difference is the names and the history of their prophets. So, for a long time, I have pledged my devotion to all of them. All of them are worthy of worship, in my eyes, from Omni to God to the Olympion Gods themselves." RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Creatia - 12-28-2016 Sakura noted his closing distance as she lead the way, her prideful stance open to him coming nearer to walk beside her beauty. She always loved a man who knew to keep close to his lady... But half of his promise gave her a short hmph in response. The reminder that this man preferred many a one-night stand soon cemented into her mind as she regarded him, a tinge of minor malice mixed with hopeful promise in her coyly enticing speech; it wasn't fair if she let him know that the first half of his sentence turned her off outright for the moment. All she could hope for was that he kept the second half of his promise... Or that his blood didn't splatter too messily when she murdered him. "I should only hope so, for your sake, good sir," she said. She may be a psychopath, but she had her... She wouldn't call it honor, but she was much more merciful to newcomers in her world than those who knew her for more than a few months. And she let him know this by letting him take her hand, a tight and nervous grip given to show that she was still very much interested in him, even if it was a minor intrigue that would prove to be fleeting depending on the night. His response... Actually confused the woman to drop her guard, giving the vampire a glimpse into the eyes of someone who very much used to be a normal female. If she hadn't snapped long ago, he may have found her more curious, maybe attractive, with more feminine wiles to her than she had now. She had planned for one or the other, but to declare her own savior as equivalent as any other god? Some would find it insulting, and religious fanatics in her kind of strain would even call it blasphemy. Yet to come from the lips of a confirmed vampire... It was as ironically fascinating as a fallen one still believing in a god in the first place. And she smiled for this as they stopped at a streetlight, waiting for the various vehicles to cross before it was safe to move on. She was impressed. "...My good sir," she started, a little passion lacing her voice along with a bit of a perplexing lilt to her tone, "Yes, do go on. Tell me more about your work.... Though I am curious to why exactly... you would find much interest in the way of everlasting life." Despite the emphasis, she meant that in no judgemental way possible. She really did want to know; a vampire still following deities was unheard of in her old world as far as she knew. An odd eye was given as she listened to his reply, one that did not hold much emotion that Eddy could see right away, but gazing into those deadly orbs of hers for long enough would reveal that a spark was there. It was slight, but enough to tell that she was confused with his company so far, yet in a good way. It meant he had her attention now. Hopefully he can continue to follow through with this development as they continued to wait for the walklight above to flash white as a signal to continue moving. RE: [Secondary] oHarmony Match: Sakura and Eddy - Sans - 01-05-2017 “I should only hope so, for your sake good sir,” she had said. “Of course, m’lady,” he had replied after only a few moments of silence. He took the opportunity to press his fangs against his lower lip as soon as her attention had been placed elsewhere. He slid his hand up to the collar of his robes and tugged against the fabric. His thoughts were racing as he tried to come up with more and more responses carefully selected through an experienced mind so as not to make his new date TOO mad at him. He glanced back towards Sakura, staring at her with shimmering eyes. Behind the bright-red lipstick and beautiful makeup was a woman he could not read. Every smile was a potential facade, an attempt to lower his guard while hiding her true thoughts. Everything from her dress to the very words she said to him in the mixtures of tones she used to convey them could serve as a distraction. He had studied her oHarmony profile as rigorously as he could before accepting the date just so he knew what he was getting into. He had gotten down onto his hands and knees and thanked every God he knew for oHarmony’s profile system; without it, he would never have been prepared for Sakura, let alone anyone else in existence. Yet despite that, there were always surprises when it comes to romance. There were always things you never truly knew until you met the person, and there were even more things you never knew about a person until you gave them a good, long look. And him, keeping his vampire eyes squarely on her as per her request, couldn’t help but notice these seemingly tiny things. The pompous manner in which she stood and walked, her head held high and a sinister smile planted on her face. The odd clacking sound that tapped a sweet melody on the pristine concrete of the Coruscant floor when her shoes made contact with the floor. He also didn’t know how a person who seemed so cold could feel so warm. As her hand slithered towards his to accept his offer, he felt a small shiver run up his pale, lean arm and shoot through his body. He let out an almost inaudible pleasurable sigh as her fingers entwined with his own. He smiled as the grip on his hand tightened; a part of him wondered if it was that tight so she could rip his arm clean off if he tried anything. Nevertheless, he made sure the grin on his face was easily understandable and noticeable to his newfound partner. He just hoped she continued to hold his hand like that; the skin of his otherwise cold fingers were positively burning up and sending heat right down to the depths of his heart. They continued to walk, hands intertwined, through the night-life of the streets of Coruscant. The stars above flickered into existence in the blackness above repeatedly, shining rays of tiny light down onto the people below. Dark, tall skyscrapers loomed over the denizens, the darkness covering up whatever light the buildings had near the top. As one looked down, though, color emerged. Bright flashes of neon green and purple appeared as if through magic as an eye drew closer to the surface. Glowing signs advertising products, showing off stores, and pointing in the direction of bars in a language very few understood how to speak, but nevertheless held a universal understanding. Multi-colored vehicles of sleek, steel metal zoomed to and fro above the couple, the whirring of the speeder bikes engines thankfully barely audible above the city crowd. Sure, Coruscant was a terrible place to live, to be sure, but even Mulligan had to appreciate the sights when he saw them. Eventually, after what felt like an eternity of walking and silence, the two came up towards a crosswalk. Street lights above blasted light down onto the sidewalks, revealing the red, green, and orange colors of the traffic lights and the rapidly approaching traffic itself. The couple halted, the vampire pressing a button against a metal pole that held up the street signs as the speeders zoomed past. As they waited, she had asked the question, and he had answered as honestly as possible. When he was finished, he had mentally braced himself for what was to happen. He figured she would frown and chastise him, or maybe she would shank him with a knife or even just dump him right on the spot. All of those seemed like likely possibilities to him. When he turned his head to face her, however, he could only widen his eyes in response to what he saw. He didn’t quite know what he saw, but for just a split second, the beautiful stoic face of hers softened. There was no anger, no annoyance. Instead, she looked shocked, and in her shock, he got a glimpse of her eyes. And in those eyes, he saw something the profile never told him about: a past. Of course, villains were never born, but to see a shade of what this woman once was was still enough to cause his eyebrows to raise and his mouth to open ever so slightly. And, just like that, she smiled, expressing her happiness but hiding the shadow of her past. He could only remain silent as he stared at her, having enough attention to listen to her but remaining so ingrained in his own thoughts that he could remind himself of why he was still there. He had no reason to still be alive, really. After all, what else is a vampire if not a raging sex lunatic who enjoys the pleasures of lust and romance? What good is an immortal that craved the blood of humans and animals? What good is immortality, really? Yet, for some reason, he was chosen to be the one brought into the Omniverse by some random witch in a cottage somewhere. Out of all the men, women, and children of the universe, he was the one. Why? What use do I have to anyone but as a source for pleasure? But her blue, ocean-colored eyes, and the brief look he got of something hidden away inside them, was all he needed to remember to remind himself of why he had to exist. And why, in the end, he was a god-loving vamp. “I just… I guess there’s a reason I exist, you know?” he said, “a reason I’m not dead even after all this time. Seems unlikely that someone like me can live so long without dying, even without considering my line of work. It isn’t really all that fun being a vampire…” He opened his mouth to elaborate on what he was talking about when an audible ding erupted from the top of the metal pole. Both Sakura and Eddy looked up to see a white, glowing man walking as the last of the speeders zipped past the crosswalk. They took a moment to look at each other before beginning to traverse the white bars painted on the ground, crowds walking past them. Along the way, the vampire continued to talk, making sure to keep his woman entertained. “Anyways, as to my actual work, it’s actually more traditional than you’d might think. I go to the government sanctioned religious cathedrals every Sunday and preach whatever book I happen to have in my hand at the time,” he said as he waved his free hand towards a street that led towards another section of the city, pointing his finger towards some buildings a long ways away, “I do the same thing with the Sunday school. I spend time teaching the kids about whatever God they happen to be interested in at the time. It’s rather fun, especially since the kids find it funny that an undead monster like myself could know so much about God.” He forced out a chuckle, over-exaggerating the shaking of his shoulders as his laughter died away almost as soon as it began. He continued to stick close to Sakura, finally quieting down to give her a chance to speak. |
