New Who - Kenpachi Zaraki - 08-29-2014
Season 8 of Doctor Who just started up last weekend with a new Doctor. I was pretty pleased with the first episode. Anyone else watching?

I actually just got around to watching it yesterday.
For the sake of not stating spoilers, I'll just say I appreciated the tie-ins and whatnot. I have high hopes for Capaldi.

As do I. I've read that he's got a pretty staunch no-flirting-with-companions rule, which I think will be a welcome change. Seems like almost every new era companion-Doctor relationship has had some romantic undertones.
Also I hope they bring Jack Harkness back, though I don't see it happening.

I miss Jack, but I'd rather have more Torchwood than have him cameo on Who.
And I'm completely okay with them downplaying the romance. I only really like it when it was Rose or River. On that note, they should have more River Song, because she is the best. The best.

Yeah, Jack does fit better with Torchwood.
I think they'd have to bring River back. Otherwise, Silence in the Library would make no sense. Also I think with Moffat in charge he wouldn't end her story just yet.
