So, I've been mulling this over for months now (pretty much since the end of the Heroverse "after-party"). I just can't find the drive to write anymore. It's not that I don't have ideas, now. Not even that I don't have time. I just can't MAKE myself write. I can't find the desire to put thought to paper. My last Smith post should demonstrate just what happens when I try to force myself into it. I dunno if this is going to be an ongoing thing that'll eventually end, or if I'll never really feel in the mood again. I certainly hope that I'll be able to get back into writing, because we have a bad-ass community here and I love you all.
So what have I been mulling over? Just quitting. I put it off for a long time, partially because I love this place and partially because of the people whom I'm writing with. They don't deserve for me to leave them hanging. But, more than that, they deserve someone who WILL write. I'm holding them back because of my lack of motivation and I can't do that any longer.
I know this ain't really the place to request this, but in-case people felt like weighing in on this, I felt this would be the best place to post this. If you guys would be so kind, go ahead and delete the Ganondorf and Smith accounts and rosters. I'd LIKE to request Ganondorf be kept on as an NPC, but I feel like that'd be doing the character an injustice. Someone could take up his reins and flesh the great Gerudo King out into something amazing. But I'll leave it up the the judgement of the Staff in regards to how to handle me letting these characters go.
I may come back one day, and I'll likely continue lurking through the site and being a generally awesome dude. But when I come back, it won't be as Ganondorf or Smith. I'll do something new that'll put a deep and abiding passion or writing within me.

It'll be sad to see you leave. You've been here since (before) I was just a little Newbie around these parts. You've been a great friend and I'm just sad I never got to write with you.

I'm seconding Daniel on this. You were always awesome when you were around, good times were had with you in the chat.
I think I know that feeling you are having at the moment and I hope that it works out for you. In the meantime, you'll be greatly missed! Just wanted you to know that.

I'll still be around as an OOC account, to make sure you guys don't get too big fer yer britches, but I don't want to hold down viable characters or hold up good stories because I can't be assed to put words on paper, ya dig?

Well, I perfectly understand. I've had the same thing happen to me once or twice. It wasn't as major, I suppose.
Anyway, glad to see you'll be sticking around, at least for a while.

If I know you (and I do), why don't we just archive the rosters? That way if you feel like coming back for bits and bobs, you can. Either way I'd like to NPC your PCs, or at the very least Ganondorf.
With adult life, we find ourself being able to pursue time-consuming hobbies less and less. That's natural. Look at how often I write. This place was designed for those casual people, hence why you can only ever become about 4x the strength of a starter character (with transformations, and disregarding super moves). You'll always matter if you decide to come back even just for a day or two. I love you man, and I hope if there's anything I can do to help you out, you tell me

Normally, I'd just sit on them and let them get archived. But I got dudes I'm in threads with and Ibfelt like it wouldn't be fair for them to have a dead partner, hence why I felt it would be best to either allow someone else a shot with the characters, or put them on NPC status.

It's a shame things turned out this way, Ganny-Do, but I think we all hit periods like that. Hopefully, you'll be able to regain your drive at some point. Until then, rest well and I hope we'll still get to hang out with you.

I will always and forever talk SU with you on Skype. Last couple eps didn't do too much for me, though.
And jeez... everyone's acting like I'm dying or something. I ain't really going nowhere. I'm just hanging up the writing gloves for awhile.
