Would one be able to hack the Dataverse by use of a VR Station or Uplink Station? Physically altering code, retrieving data, etc. Obviously, they would require the tools for the job, but other than that...

Depends what you're wanting to do, really. You could 'hack' and find information but not anything that's close to meta-gaming (like hacking into cameras in Coruscant to locate people) or any other shenanigan-y type stuff. I could find a better answer for you if I knew exactly what you were looking for. As for altering code, I'm not sure what you mean. You couldn't like, rewrite sections of the Dataverse or anything.
