Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Violet - 08-23-2013 Character Name: Garona Halforcen Character Source: Warcraft Series Character History: Garona is the product of a forced tryst between an Orcish father and a Draenei mother, as ordered by the warlock, Gul’dan, who essentially sold his people into slavery to Kil’Jaeden (or Beautiful One), and through him, Sargeras. She was never accepted by the Orcs, whom she had the most contact during her brief childhood, nor the Draenei, with the exception of her maternal uncle, Vindicator Maraad. She drifts in an “in-between”, her very, very few close allies being mostly human. Garona was magically aged by Gul’dan, and her real age is unknown. She has been trained by the ruthless warriors of Draenor for most of her life, and has become an expert spymaster and shapeshifter. Her life revolves around the Job, her assignments having initially being handed out to her by her master, and then finally, she began accepting assignments for a bounty offered by those with enough money to toss around in exchange for her services. Currently, Garona is preparing for her next assignment: to investigate the newly discovered portals to worlds other than Draenor and Azeroth. The rumors say that they can take one to worlds that are complex and highly advanced, far beyond anything she could ever imagine. Stats Atk: 3 Def: 1 Spd: 3 Tec: 3 Starting Proficiencies: Physical Strength (1000 OM), Damage-Over-Time Proficiency (600 OM) (Total: 1600 OM) Starting Powers: Stealth (1200 OM), Illusory Shapeshifting (600 OM) (1800 OM) Total: 1600+1800= 3400 Starting Moves: -Sinister Strike: Her primary special attack. It is usually reserved for more intense tactical battles, or when subtlety is necessary to conceal a fatal blow. -Deadly Poison: Her special mix of poison coats her blades and deals a small bit of extra damage over time to targets unfortunate enough to be sliced or come in contact with the blade. Writing Sample: The Quiet. It surrounded her, drew her deep into its embrace, and cleared her thoughts, her inhibitions; it was where that voice that gave her a moral foothold was quickly lost to the darkness within her mind. This was the place she escaped to just before her dagger found purchase deep within the flesh of her target. It was where she found herself now, her physical body melded to the firmly muscled, velvet-skinned form of her mark. She had given him a taste of her exotic essence, and in return, he would procure her enough gold to keep her comfortable for months. Although the money was nice, what she valued the most-what kept her killing time and time again- was that pleasure she got as the last beats of life pounded weaker and weaker from the hearts of her victims. It was the fact that their lives were now hers, and she destroyed them, utterly and completely, with unwavering impunity. Each life, each soul, fed something deep within her, and that something was a greedy master, always demanding more…more…. So, she gave it more. He was completely oblivious, fingertips trailing deftly down the muscles that lined each side of her spine, slicking with her sweat, until they came to a rest where her thigh met the rounded fullness of her buttock. His hand squeezed at that plushness, his breath coming out as a labored sigh as he restrained the urge to consume her. He wanted her; the need was so overwhelming that he didn’t see the glint of the blade as she slipped it from behind the headboard mere moments before he forced her down onto the mattress, pinning her with his body, mouth clamped over hers and hands exploring the soft green flesh that felt like heaven. His groin burned, pulsing with need that hardened his body with the desire for release. She cried out as his fingertips kneaded a path up her torso and over her ribcage. Feeling him as he palmed over her old scars flat out rocked her. Although the pleasure she wrought from their tryst was different than his, she had to admit it felt good. She almost regretted having to kill him, but duty came first over the urges of the flesh. Her legs wrapped around his hips, drawing him the closest they could get while still clothed, and it wasn’t enough. She wanted his blood to blanket her in its liquid warmth as she crested, drawing the power from his body as he plummeted towards death. He thrust against her, and she gasped loudly, forcing her to look up at him. His eyes, clear and grey like ripe storm clouds, burned with his need. Her mind blanked, and that one instant that it took for her to escape to that quiet gave her the time to detach herself from the physical sensation, and plunged the dagger deep into his side. The blade glinted off the bone as it slipped between the ribs and sank all the way to the hilt. She watched his face as it danced between pleasure and pain, feeling him harden against her, and then ripped the blade from his body, blood spilling from the wound and enrobing her in a hot, shimmering ribbon. The knife clanked to the floor, and her hands swept up her torso, smearing the blood over more of her flesh. The Mark began to jerk, forcing more blood to spurt from the wound, and she felt the familiar tingle as it seized her muscles, rolling up her legs, her abdomen, her chest…and then he collapsed atop of her, and all she could do was smile as the sensation overcame her, rode her, and finally began its ebb. Gul’dan’s metaphysical tug pulled her from her ecstasy, something that instantly filled her with resentment. He knew not to disturb her while she worked, and certainly not while she basked in the blood and took her pleasure from it. It was far too personal, almost like how most humans treated sex and intimacy. It just simply wasn’t done. “Nice work, my pet.” Gul’dan whispered into her mind. Although it was typically a one-way street, he usually picked up on her emotions, but usually didn’t give a shit. “Lap it all up, precious one, and then come home. I have another assignment for you.” Notes: This is obviously not exactly the same Garona as portrayed in canon. I’ve changed some things, made her use more of her “charms” as a sort of weapon into itself. Gul’dan is still alive, and still has some sway over her. I’ll flesh out more details as I write. Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Omni - 08-23-2013 Hiya. I noticed for Deadly Poison, you mention a blade. You'll need a Move for that blade. You'll also require the Toxin Element power. What is Sinister Strike, exactly? What does it do? If it's just a blade strike, you don't need a separate move for it, as long as you buy the blade as a move. Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Violet - 08-23-2013 I wasn't sure whether it classified under a DOT or the toxin proficiency, so I went with DoT. And the sinister strike is just essentially a sneaky blade strike. I have 600 OM left, and the one post that has moves lists a "simple sword" at 300 OM, which I am guessing would apply to a dagger, as well (it is a set of daggers, so would that be one or two slots?) and do I still need DoT proficiency in addition to toxic proficiency to use the poison? Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Ganondorf - 08-23-2013 I can answer this, I believe. If your blade or blades ALWAYS has poison on it, you only need the one Move for it, which would cost you 300 OM. So, rather than a Poison Move and a Blade Move, you could combine them. And you would need both the Power and the Proficiency to use it, of course, in addition to Physical Strength. If the poison was something you would apply on a situational basis, you could still make it as a single Move, but it would cost you 600 OM. Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Omni - 08-23-2013 Yes, you need both DoT Proficiency and Toxin Element for that move. According to that description, you don't need to buy Sinister Strike unless you really wanna spend the extra OM. This could work: Starting Proficiencies: (1600) Physical Strength (1000), Damage Over Time (600) Starting Powers: (1800) Toxin Element (600), Stealth (1200) Starting Moves: (600) Blade (300) Deadly Poison (300) You'd have to buy Illusory Shapeshifting later. You could drop Stealth, take Illusory Shapeshifting, and have some extra OM for moves. Also just reading your last bit about Gul'dan: so, everyone in the Omniverse is either summoned by Omni or summoned by a Prime. There's no going back to outside worlds either, it's completely cut off. That said, you'll probably want Gul'dan to have been summoned as well. You can either have Garona summon him herself a short way in (because she feels lost without him, or whatever) or have him as a Prime himself, summoned separately by Omni. Your choice. Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Violet - 08-23-2013 I could drop stealth for now. The illusory shapeshifting seems like it would weigh a bit more in importance. With what you said, I could definitely have Gul'dan as a prime, and could eventually be my antagonist. Since there is no going back to outside worlds, as you say, perhaps the assignment he gives her is essentially banishment (he has all kinds of ways of getting rid of things...). Perhaps she, Gul'dan, and a group of supporting Orcs could be summoned, and eventually find there is no way back? idk. Edit: Also, could I get a name change, please? Thank you.
Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Omni - 08-23-2013 Okay then, please repost your joining sheet with the changes. You'll need a description for the blade move. As soon as they get summoned, they'll know everything Omni says at the introduction, so they'll know there is no way back. How many orcs are you thinking of summoning? Generally for most supporting NPCs I prefer they get summoned as secondaries, not Primes. Namechange inc. I am going to just make it a generic, always poisoned set of daggers, just simply called "Poison Daggers". Is that acceptable? Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Omni - 08-23-2013 That's okay, please post a description. Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Violet - 08-23-2013 Poison Daggers: A set of daggers are her primary weapons. They are always coated with a basic poison that lends a small damage-over-time effect which wears off after a short period of time, depending on how fast the victim can metabolize it. It won't kill the victim, but they'll definitely be hating life while under it's effects. Effects can include anything from a severe headache, to brief, distracting hallucinations, or sharp, stinging pain from wound sites. Their names are Kingsbane (mainhand) and Kingsfall (offhand). ![]() Kingsbane is more rugged in appearance, it's blade cupped by a worn, hammered steel handle that extends nearly to the tip, almost giving it an axe-like appearance. It has a red glow pulsing from it, and is sometimes also referred to as "Fire", even though it doesn't really harness any properties of the element. ![]() Kingsfall has more of an icy feel to it, its naked steel radiating a cool blue mist that is purely cosmetic. It has several iron spikes protruding from the top edge, while the bottom edge has forward jutting spike meant to give a final stab to the victim to produce even bloodier results. The handle is a cobalt and steel alloy, wrapped tightly with leather to give it grip, and the end curves under and is also tipped with three additional spikes made of the same material as the spikes on the northern edge. It, like it's brother, has a secondary, lesser known nickname of "Ice". As for the orcs, its fine if they're secondaries. They will not really take a main focus except as occasional support. I am thinking a group of maybe five or six, a couple of which will die within a few posts of various stupidity-related incidents. Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Omni - 08-23-2013 Okay. If they're secondaries, Garona needs to summon them herself at some point after joining. Best to give another good read of In-Universe Details if you're unsure of any of this. Poison Daggers are fine at 300 OM. Sheet coming momentarily. Welcome! Re: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Violet - 08-23-2013 woot RE: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Anita Blake - 04-04-2016 Bumping this for my secondary character. I've reached the minimum OM to make a secondary character. (This is Violet obv.). Everything in here is how I want my character to be. My roster was deleted for some reason when I came back as Violet, as well as my OM being reset back to 5k. RE: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Anita Blake - 04-04-2016 I also have a couple of moves listed up there from previous, I'll wait on those until I get the OM to repurchase them. RE: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Alex - 04-04-2016 You're good. Those moves are going to need to be updated, though, since the requirements for Moves/move descriptions has gotten a lot more complex than it was three years ago. If you're not in a rush to start writing (resume writing?) we can hash that out here, otherwise we can set up your roster and you can head to Move Approval to tinker on your moves. RE: Joining as Garona [kinda nsfw] - Anita Blake - 04-05-2016 Yeah, that's fine. I'll rework em. I don't really think I'm going to need them for a few posts in anyways.
