March Monthly Accolade (Until April 14th) - The Vision - 04-02-2018
First, shoutout to Gilgamesh for covering me while I had personal stuff to deal with. If you missed it, he did the tallies for the Jan/Feb Monthly Accolades for me (which has just now been updated)
For those of you who are unaware, the Accolades involve nominating (and later, voting for) those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.
You have until April 14th to nominate your choices. After that, we will proceed to the voting phase where members will vote among the two individuals with the most nominations for each category. An exception to this is if someone manages to get 5+ more nominations than the runner-up, in which case that person becomes the winner by default.
If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters/threads, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.
The winners will become this month's "Community Stars". And what benefits does this bring? Here is an explanation, courtesy of Alex:

'Best' NPC – What non-player character (can be a site, personal, or story NPC) entertained you the most (for whatever reason). Please note who the 'owner' of said NPC is, just in case I am not familiar with them.
Purple Ribbon - Consider this a bonus category for nominating someone who, while they may not be the best and have all the twitter followers, you believe deserves to be recognized for what they bring the the Omniverse. (The winner must be a DIFFERENT person than the last winner; the January/February winner was Warren Zimmer)

'Best' Story – http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=9291&pid=128170#pid128170 It lasted 3 months, got two alt accounts back into writing and I got to play chicken with how many times I could threaten to kill someone. March was also pretty slow for stories being well and truly finished and it's nice to see something that lasted so long finally being completed.
‘Best’ Writer – Gilgamesh, I just liked his writing, not much else to say.
Purple Ribbon - This is going to be for a very stupid reason but, China for almost always putting in the time and dedication to vote around 50 times per month.

Best’ Character – Drake Onier: I've missed this guy and frankly he's aged like fine wine. Funny and awesome this character is sure to make my day.
‘Best’ Writer – Kumoko - Cutesy spuder. Can't explain this section too well. I just like your stuff.
Most Helpful – Dane Regan: I don't have to get things graded or looked at that much, but he was able to get there quick, do the job and put a little extra whip cream on top.
Rising Star – Kaliegh: I like your stuff and you're quite the reasonable person. Keep up the good work ♥[/color]
'Best' Story – I haven't seen a story that really stuck out to me as any better than the other. As a result I abstain from this vote as any vote I would put as a result may be one of personal bias.
'Best' NPC – Dave (Victor's npc): Dave has got a future ahead of him. whether he likes it or not.
Purple Ribbon - Koal: He's been through a lot of stuff lately and seeing him still attempt to do things despite that touches me in weird places. Love you bro♥

‘Best’ Character –I think March goes to the Clown of Terror. Pennywise had to be the coolest character for March.
‘Best’ Writer –Drake Oneir. Aaron knows how to write serious, dramatic, strange, and all of these other crazy kinds of characters, but I honestly really like when he’s helming a fun character like Drake.
Most Helpful – Dane Regan.
Rising Star – Kaleigh Dactomb Nox. Look out for this person, they write well. ^_^
'Best' Story – Maybe I am biased, but I like: The Fallen Kings Thread ended in march (3 posts)
'Best' NPC – Diablo. He made Gilgamesh his bitch in March.
Purple Ribbon – Luci. They’re back and it’s a big deal.

‘Best’ Character – Drake Oneir. This guy is sorta like my first Dane draft by like 20 times better. He's got more character depth than most people think. (first Dane draft as in, what Dane was originally gonna be, but I changed that up a lot for my actual app)
‘Best’ Writer – Kumoko. For some kick-ass, funny, and immersive first-person posts. And not many people write first-person here.
Most Helpful – I wanna say Jade, cuz she takes the time to approve my moves - even the 1800 OM ones that are pretty complicated. She's an absolute machine at times with all the mod stuff. But, I'm actually going to vote for Trixie. I vote for Jade most months, but Trixie is really helpful but often doesn't have the same apparent presence. He's usually doing quite a bit behind the scenes that doesn't always get noticed.
Rising Star – Kaleigh Dactomb Nox. Pls do more words. U cool.
'Best' Story – [M] Honeymoon In Hell - While it's a worse love story than Twilight (and Ebony x Summer > Ash x Desman), it is still a good story with a lot of character development. Both writers collaborated a lot with their posts. And, while not "finished", Ash's last post (which was last month) was her last before meeting Diablo (which she's waiting on now). If any story deserves best of the month, it's this one. Especially given the amount of time and effort put into it. They wrote to finish their story, when they easily had the word count to escape some time ago.

‘Best’ Character – 'Lord' Victor Wolfe. I love this guy.
‘Best’ Writer – Drake Oneir. Them Tiamat cultists don't stand a chance against this paragon of stealth and deadliness.
Most Helpful – Dane Regan. Jade is super great at approving moves, but this month I feel like Dane has been rushing to get to most of them before she has a chance. So I'll nominate him this time around.
Rising Star – Kaleigh Dactomb Nox. 2edgy4me.
'Best' Story – Honeymoon in Hell (Ash & Desman Black). While I agree wholeheartedly with Dane's assessment of its merits as a love story, it's been an exciting tale in other ways and has developed both characters interestingly.
'Best' NPC – Dave, the Mesopotamian Guard (originally summoned by Gilg, then given character development by Victor). This guy may only have been summoned, like, one IC day ago (I think), but it's been an eventful day.

'Best' Story – Honeymoon In Hell by Ash and Desman Black - It has death, demons, fighting, more death, betrayal, affairs, remorse, and more death. (I would know) What more do you want in a romance? ... What do you mean you want actual romance!? This isn't a love story! Okay, what if I told you some of the death happens at a ball while Ash and Desman are dancing? That's romantic, right?
'Best' NPC – El. Liz. Beth. - Shotgun Steve's hotty posse. They have no purpose other than being hawt, and that's fucking awesome.

As always, I have a pretty narrow view of the Omniverse, so consider these more of a 'best of coruscant' as that's mostly the only verse I pay attention too.
‘Best’ Character – JACKET. When I left the OV abruptly without warning, Jacket took over Westside operations. While I was gone, I often thought about the OV. Thinking about Jacket's character, I thought to myself 'I bet he takes over Westside operations' and he DID. When we write our character story lines, they flow together so effortlessly, and this is because Jacket is an internally consistent character, a very deep look at an otherwise shallow cannon-character. One of the funnest characters in the omniverse as well.
‘Best’ Writer – Trixie. Check out Panic at the disco which was my runner-up for best story, as well as [NPC-M] STORM TROOPER ASSAULT FIGHTING FORCE AND THE RISE OF THE REBEL NUISANCE! which has few great runner-ups for best NPC. I feel like Trixie's writer really loves Coruscant, and any time I read about Trixie it is with loving care.
Most Helpful – Dane. WOW, what a whirlwind of helpfulness. Just wow.
Rising Star – I believe it's cool to vote for Ahana So far Reece (Ahana's writer) is on his third character, and despite his shocking quantity of writing, we can see from Ahana's Nexus entrance that his quality shows no signs of dropping any time soon.
'Best' Story – Ash and Desman Black - Honeymoon In Hell . Truly, any Underverse escape quest is something special. Ash and Desman did it TOGETHER. Not just that, they did it WELL. They had fun doing it, they really enjoy writing with each other, and it shows. This thread really deserves the attention it has been getting.
'Best' NPC – Gregory- King Ghiddorah hands down. Technically made a post march 1st so is eligible.
Purple Ribbon - Me, because I really like having a link to my roster on the OV homepage, is very convenient.
