What if your character has an npc "pet"? Should they leave them behind before boarding the plane, or risk their creature's death on the island (which would presumably offer unfair advantage to that person). What kind of thing would Karl say about it?

Only person that can board is the individual who signs up. No pets, no pals.
If the pet is an Assist, they can be used in conflict at the expense of SP.

Don't know the context you're talking about, but to sign up, you'd need to be able to go to one of the locations listed in the IC thread. If you can reach those places unmolested or uninhibited, then you're good.

This q doesn't have to do with rules, but why'd the locations to the Dante Verse change IC? No need to answer or regard this question if you don't want to.
My other question is what should we call this year's "Dante's Abyss"? As it is not the same kind of event, or will we find out later what it should be referred to as?

The closing was extended to Sunday, 8AM CST I believe. So you can still sign up on Saturday.

Primes always respawn after 3 days. I think Karl meant to say that you die a "real" death like anywhere in the regular Omniverse, because the Dante Verse isn't a VR simulation or any such thing. Quoting from the rules ("Hazards around you"):
Quote:Death – Characters die if they accumulate 20 Damage and can die if they are Eliminated. It's also possible that a character is Eliminated and then dies later. If your character dies, they will always respawn at the Nexus three days later, unless they are banished using a Banishment Circle.
