Re: Changing Clothing - Jack Darby - 05-01-2016 So Shapeshifting is required for complete outfit changes, so I'm 100% certain? RE: Quick Questions II - Daniel - 05-01-2016 Yes. You can have a 300 OM move that allows you to change clothing. Bear in mind that this would be cosmetic. You wouldn't be able to use said Move to change into an Iron Man suit and suddenly be able to fly and shoot missiles. I...What...? 'Fodder moves,' i.e. moves that are purely writing fodder, don't cost Omnilium, to my knowledge. Proto was talking in a sense that if you had an attacking move that also changed your outfit at the same time (the outfit change would be a simple cosmetic effect to the move, and not actually give you any bonuses). RE: Quick Questions II - Jack Darby - 05-03-2016 So would the cosmetic change wear off... or not once the move ended? Just as a question I'm having because the artists who made the outfit of the canon I play were... lazy. RE: Quick Questions II - Jack Darby - 05-04-2016 If you have a move that changes appearance BUT gives no buffs to stats, can the appearance change be PERMANENT if you so desire or not? RE: Re: Changing Clothing - Mark - 05-04-2016 Separated these as we've kinda strayed from the 'Quick' aspect here. Are you wanting to change clothing frequently, or just once in a while? We've approved a move in the past the would encapsulate a 'Wardrobe' and let you switch outfits with frequency (see Guu's Stomach of Wardrobe for details on that.) Or, like Daniel said, you can have it appear on your person if it's for a move. It will vanish shortly thereafter. If it's more or less a one-time thing, you can just like...find a pair of pants somewhere or 'buy' (hand-wave the OM cost) something at a shop somewhere. Thaal has been known to sport a poncho and cowboy hat during his time in the Dunes. RE: Re: Changing Clothing - Jack Darby - 05-04-2016 Basically because the makers of NFL Rush Zone never made any decent pictures of Warren Zimmer aka "Wild Card" standing that didn't look... horrible or were missing the lower regions, the legs... I need to find a new look for him. That's the main issue. But a Wardrobe move does sound interesting for him. Though not sure if it would fall under shape-shifting as his civilian form was only shown BRIEFLY in one episode. Gonna show you the ONLY two picture options I have for his looks if I stick solely to the canon. ![]() ![]() As you can see from these pictures, there's the reason I wanted to choose new clothes for him. Though choosing a civilian form for him will be rather difficult. RE: Re: Changing Clothing - Mark - 05-04-2016 I getcha. I'm fairly certain you'd need Shapeshifting to go the Wardrobe route (not entirely sure as Guu, the only precedent we have, happens to have Shapeshift). If you're just picking a new look for him, that'd probably be fine? If you have something in mind it would be easier to tell. EDIT: Also, is this him? Just seems like a better reference than those.
RE: Re: Changing Clothing - Jack Darby - 05-04-2016 A poorer quality version, yes. But it is him. Though I wish they had a civilian look for him. I do have one idea so far. ![]() Wish it were more villainous, but meh. RE: Re: Changing Clothing - Jack Darby - 05-05-2016 So if a character has no civilian form... are you allowed to choose one for them? RE: Re: Changing Clothing - Mark - 05-08-2016 Yes. You're good to use that image. RE: Re: Changing Clothing - Omni - 05-09-2016 I'm basically fine with people having a few outfits or summoning new clothes, no OM cost. Disclaimer: If it's an instantaneous switch then since it can be used to hide oneself in a crowded area, that'd cost a move (no profs required unless it's more than a simple clotheswap, it might need shapeshifting or stealth). |
