Re: Items of holding - scarletFlight - 03-31-2016

So all items of holding that are rp fodder cannot be used to summon things made out of Omnimilum (as a mod told me), does this go for extraneous things like ammunition? It was the mod trying to say Moves?

RE: Quick Questions II - Mark - 03-31-2016

I'm not really understanding what you mean by the item of holding 'summoning' something. If it's a bag, it just holds stuff, it doesn't summon anything. If you had a move that involves resummoning a weapon (giant hammer or something) when you'd want to use it, then you could say it came out of the bag if you'd like, but it's the same as if someone else just pulled it out of thin air. Just flavor. It also wouldn't make moves better by making ammo for you or anything, you'd need to rework the move if you wanted it to have more available ammo or summon ammo as normal between battles. It just makes it so that you don't have to worry about how to write your character lugging his sword collection around.

Does that answer your question at all?

No because I am a DA, and wrote my original question wrong, my fault, I am so sorry.

Quote:Magically deep pockets: Fodder

The two inner pockets of Connor's trench coat (one on each side), are four inches wide and seem to have a depth of 5 inches. He can store anything in the pockets without feeling the weight of the items as long as the item can fit in the entrance.

The above, as it is currently written, means that Connor can store absurd amounts of ammunition, as long as the magazine can fit the actual width of the pocket, right? I just can't store any of my weapons or anything unless I actually pay for the move, right?

RE: Re: Items of holding - Mark - 04-01-2016

I split these posts into their own thread because it was starting to take up space. =P

But yeah, if you just want it to be a place to hold your extra ammo for a move without an ammo cap then it's fine. I was more saying if you got a move approved with a stipulation of "only has 4 shots until more can be summoned", then you can't use this to get around it.

EDIT because i'm dumb: You could store your weapons if you got them re-approved with this mechanic added (Connor pulling the gun out of the pocket instead of pulling it from a holster or something).

Ah okay, now I understand, thank you Big Grin
