Return from the Graveyard - Minato Namikaze - 03-06-2016
Relief, he had been set free. The burden of that wretched place had been lifted. The prime that he had come to know as “Blues” had been chosen as their champion, and now he was on his way back.
Minato found himself lying in the Nexus. Still in the position that he'd been in while lying in the grass of the Hero's Graveyard, arms and legs spread out like a starfish, as he gazed up into the blankness of this place. That was all he could describe it as. It wasn't white, it didn't feel like a colour at all. It just seemed blank. None the less, he recognized it. He had returned, to the beginning, to where Omni had first introduced him to this world.
The shinobi sat up, his wounds making it an even more difficult task than he had expected. 'Guess I took a lot more damage than I had thought.' He chuckled, realizing that the adrenaline that had once filled his body had disappeared. Minato stumbled to his feet, catching himself on the side of the fountain. His reflection stared back at him, it looked bruised and battered. He sighed, placed his hands into the fountain, and pulled some water from it. It was oddly cold.
'I wonder…' The blonde mumbled as he sipped at the water in his hands. 'It tastes like…' He began as he thought to himself. 'Water.' He sighed, disappointment in his voice. Minato finished his drink and then spun around, looking at the gates on the horizon. He couldn't make out which one was which, they were too far away from him. But he did remember, vaguely, which direction he had gone the last time he had been here.
'Minato-sensei.' Kakashi's voice spoke out. A hand lay itself on the man's shoulders as he turned his head. His companion standing behind him. 'I see you look no better than you did back at the temple.' He joked, Minato frowned as he stretched his body and limbs.
'I'm feeling better than I did before.' He sighed. 'Besides, Tsunade can just heal us up once we get to the village.' the blonde kage stated. Kakashi agreed with him, she was definitely an expert in Medical Ninjutsu. No matter how scary she was, she was still the best doctor that they'd ever seen.
'We should get going.' Minato stated sternly as he stared out at the various gates, trying to discern which was which.
'Yeah.' Kakashi nodded as they headed towards the gates.
