So in order to not have the forums be down for weeks, I'm now launching the forums. OM should work, multi-accounting is in, and basic permissions are in place. Everything else I'm working on.
I have the intention of restoring everything from the old forums (with a very few exceptions) but it will take me time. Things like displaying levels next to posts, character profile links, et cetera, all took a long time to integrate into the original forum so it's not going to be done tonight and there is no need to remind me right now. EVEN THE FEATURES I DIDN'T NAME BY NAME. However I would appreciate it if you let me know if you gain OM in an OOC forum, if you don't have permissions you shouldn't have, etcetera.
Setting up your hub account
Creating a hub account is not mandatory. If you wish to set up a hub account, this means you can register as any name so that people can recognise you regardless of which character you're on (and you will keep this name should you happen to switch characters). From a hub account, you can post as any of your linked characters simply by using the drop-down menu next to posts. However this functionality is also there for those who would prefer to be called by their characters names.
To link accounts, go into User CP ---> Account Switcher.
I appreciate everyone's patience during this transition period. You'll get your frogs, damn it.

You can put postbits on the left of posts by going to User CP, Edit Options, and ticking 'Display posts in classic mode'. WOAHDAINFOIEN

I know I'm not staff, but the anchor, spoiler, and float codes aren't working like they did so if you were using them in your rosters you might want to consider reformatting.

For those interested, you have the option in your User CP to set a faction to appear on your postbit. This includes all player factions and the two main NPC factions.
Eventually, I'd like this to evolve into little emblems instead of just text. But baby steps.

I've added the following prefix options for threads in in-character forums:
[M] - Mature
[Open] - For open-to-all threads
[NPC] - To let people know they're clicking on a thread starring one of your NPCs, and not your prime
[Quest] - To identify a thread as a quest
I added these to the Help Desk to help with clarity
[Question] - For questions and question-related issues
[Update] - For updates

I've added Roster and Purchase Log lines to the postbit
It works a little different here, because if you want your link to be clickable (and not show up as the entire link), you need to use bbcode or html. Both are available as options.
Roster or <a href="url to purchase log goes here">Purchase Log</a>
You can check out Proto Man, because I got both to work.
Once I've had a little more time to experiment with editting the template files, I may get this to function without the need of code, but for now, this method should work fine for us.

Roster and Log links now work <_<
Unlike the old board, you just need to put the thread ID in there. That's the very last number in the URL.
These function should work on the Default and TestingTheme/Vintage Theme.
