Enemies of an Empire - Gwendolyn - 02-20-2016
Koal felt his head pound in time with his heart. His head felt like it would split open, but he rolled over onto his stomach anyway, pushing himself onto a knee. He felt as if he was here, but his mind and body was completely underwater. he could hear the noises of battle, but everything sounded far away. Koal felt something violently throw him back to the ground, and his vision cleared with the impact.
"...ame of the Empire, you have been sentenced to death!" A stormtrooper held the barrel of a gun to his face and had a finger on the trigger. But Koal didn't plan on dying today. He grabbed the barrel of the gun, and violently wrenched it out of his hand. With a well-placed kick, Koal sent the soldier to a knee. BANG. The stormtrooper fell to the ground, a smoking hole in the center of his forehead.
Koal threw the weapon to the side, throwing his head around frantically. A full-out battle was being waged here. Dozens of men in white armor were trying to subdue a warrior in a red cape and a smaller figure. They were decimating the troopers. Koal summoned his scythe and sword and jumped into the fray. Koal cut through the soldiers easily, his scythe and sword practically drinking their blood. He felt the blood lust return, and he smiled. A red haze once more descended on his vision.
He cut his way to the eye of the storm of blaster bolts, dodging a rapidly moving hammer on his way. He jumped over a line of troopers, slicing a few of them on his way over. He widened the circle by swinging his scythe in a wide arc, a few stormtroopers backing off. " WHAT THE HELL DID WE GET OURSELVES INTO?" Koal yelled over the sound of the battle, throwing a few more fireballs at the troops.
Red let out a short bark of laughter and continued to fire into the crowd of Soldiers. Thor continued to bash away at Stormtroopers. Koal felt his sword get knocked out of his grasp. Letting out a growl, Koal de-summoned both his sword and Scythe and drew a small cylindrical hilt from his jacket. Koal activated the lightsaber and flourished the silver blade, grinning maniacally.
Koal began to slice through the troopers with the brightly burning blade, and the battle continued...

Red was busy firing into a group of storm troopers flipping and somersaulting around trying to avoid the return fire of the troopers. Finally standing Red felt a burst of air behind his back. Red spun to see Thor's hammer fly past him striking a stormtrooper that positioned himself behind Red ready to fire a possibly killing shot at Red. "Thanks Thor!" Red yelled watching the hammer fly on and almost hit the kid but he out maneuvered the hammer fairly easily. Red quickly holster one of his guns and pulled out a flash bang and chunked it at the large group of troopers who were firing at him. Waiting a few seconds the grenade detonated blinding the group of stormtroopers. With that Red rushed the troopers pulling his knife out as he got close. His foes were still blinded, taking advantage he begun to knife the troopers in vulnerable places. Still having his gun in his other hand he fired a few shots into the heads of the troopers standing near. Red looked and saw that he had killed the troopers that he had previously been in a gun fight with. Red saw that Thor was struggling to catch up with the troopers who were standing in groups of course but would disperese once Thor would get in range which would only allow Thor to strike down one of them.Seems like they are getting smarter. Red ran behind Thor attacking the troopers that he was was missing. He began to run with Thor picking off the troopers that tried to run away from the mighty Thor. The way way the two moved was such a beautiful dance of carnage, decimating the troopers with ease. Many times Red used Thor as a spring board, hoping over his shoulders to come down hard with a nasty kick followed by a knife or a shot of his gun. Thor ran swinging the massive hammer accurately hitting the troopers causing them to go limp whether from death or unconsciousness Red did not know nor cared at the moment. It was one less of the massive number if troopers that had spilled through the gate after they had left the city of Coruscant. Using Thor's massive form as a shield for a moment Red reloaded his gun. Once reloaded the fight continued. More stormtroopers flooded through the gate. This is getting ridiculous Red thought firing at the new comers. The area around the gate was flooded with the bodies of dead stormtroopers. But for every fallen for more appeared to join the on going fight. We can't keep fighting like this, were are going to run out of energy at some point Red thought grimly. He could feel the sweat pouring down his face, for once Red regretted the stupid red mask we wore to hide his true identity. "We need to make for the Camelot gate! That's where the Kingdom lies, they are enemies of the Empire they should shelter us" Hopefully.. Red thought. Red pulled his last two flash grenades and threw them at the new coming troopers that were flooding the gate. He also bulled a few batarangs, timing it just right they hit their marks just has the dazzling light blinded their foes. "Kid! Run that way! Give it all you got we are almost to safety." Red Hood screamed point the opposite direction of the wreary teen covered in blood. Sure hope that's not his He thought full of concern for the youth. "Thor go!" With that once again Red ran. I'm tired of running Red thought as he sprinted filling with rage, I will destroy the corruption of the Empire. Turning he saw the small army of white behind them.Even if I need an army of my own Red thought thinking of his companions he hoped that this would be a start of his plan.

Thor crashed into a group of storm troopers, slamming his Hammer into the side of one of their helmets. The rest began to spread out around him. He had to choose which to chase. He crashed into another trooper, dropping him with a swing of his hammer. He felt the sting of a shot in the back and fell to one knee. He would not face death at the hands of these weaklings. He rose to face the trooper that shot him. He felt the blood of Asgard flow threw him. His pain and weariness lessened. He was a warrior god! He would not be slain this day! He charged the storm trooper. The storm trooper fell. Thor was looking around for another victim, when he saw Red with his attention on a group of storm troopers firing in front of him while another was about to shoot him in the back. Thor tossed his Hammer. The storm trooper collapsed. Thor moved on to his next victim. For each of the storm troopers he took down there were three on the sidelines aiming a blaster at him. His Asgardian armor protected him from most of the damage of the blaster shots but with himself constantly under fire he didn't know how long he could keep this up. Then Thor noticed that he was no longer getting shot at. Thor saw a flash of Red from the corner of his eye. It was good to know someone had his back. He looked over at the dark haired warrior. He watched him rip storm trooper after storm trooper apart. He wondered if he would be able to trust Koal in that way. Thor enjoyed having the rogue like companion moving around him. They moved around each other, iron and lead flew through the air and storm troopers fell like flies. There were only a few left when Thor heard Red's pistols run out. Red hid behind his massive friend as he reloaded. Thor watched the Coruscant gate shimmer as a new horde of storm troopers entered the nexus. He felt Red look over his shoulder. Red shouted something about another gate, pointed in a direction, then told him to go. Thor did go.

Koal turned his head and saw Thor and Red retreating to a gate nearby. It looked eerily familiar... Then it hit him. Camelot. But the closing waves of stormtroopers would make it difficult to get there without being seriously injured. So Koal didn't retreat.
"I'll catch up, guys." The dark haired youth knew the two couldn't hear him, but he felt it needed to be said anyway. Dropping his lightsaber, Koal ignited both arms and let out a maniac grin, staring the stormtroopers down. They were wary of him, as they should be. Koal had ripped dozens of them apart. "You want me?" Koal enunciated every word slowly, taking a step forward with every syllable, and the stormtroopers scurrying back a step every time.
His eyes turned a pitch black color, and Koal ignited both of his arms on fire, balls of fire pooling into the palms of his hands, "Then come get me." He launch two simultaneously at the leading soldiers and began to run backwards, dodging and evading as most he could, focused on making their advance as slow as possible.
Koal let out a hiss of pain as a bolt slammed into his shoulder, and he grabbed the nearest man, and shoved a fireball through his helmet, effectively frying his brain and killing him. This gruesome kill unnerved the small remaining troopers, but he could see more envoys coming closer, so Koal made a mad dash for the gate, throwing the dead body aside.
His demonic bloodlust slowly dissipated, followed by a numbness that started deep in his body, and Koal knew he would be unconscious soon. He put on a burst of speed and followed the two into the gate..
