Mafia arrives - Todd Ingram - 02-19-2016
A distant familiar voice called out to Sawada in the far distance, "Tsuuuna."
The sound was far off in the deep darkness of his mind. Once more the voice called out to him, this time it was allot more clear, "Tsuuuna, open your eyes."
Being slowly dragged out of his slumber Sawada started to wake up, which was sped up by a final shout, "Wake up no-good-Tsuna" and a splash of water found its way to his face. Sawada's eyes shot open when the liquid splashed upon his face and sat upright.
"What?! Where am i? What is this place?" The teenager started to question panicky, looking around within the vast white emptiness. His eyes blinking in confusion, one moment he was going to bed, the next he woke in this place, after a strange dream.
"Welcome to the Omniverse Tsuna, I've been waiting for quite some time." The same high pitched familiar voice as earlier spoke. The Vongola turned his head and standing on the ledge of a white fountain his old mentor was looking down at him, "ciaosu!" The baby sized man spoke. It was his very own greeting which Tsuna has heard a million times before.
Sawada looked relieved and shocked at the same time, taking a moment to gather his thoughts and properly wake up he finally responded, "Reborn! What's going on? Where are we? Is this another one of your tests?" The Vongola rattled on.
Reborn had the same silly grin as always on his face, he jumped down and ignored all of Tsuna's questions, "So when were you taken to this place?"
"This place? Reborn where are we?" The confused teenager asked once more.
"Didn't you see a pale looking man before you woke up? Goes by the name Omni?" The baby asked curiously.
"Omni? wait that does sound familiar." And within that instant the memories of what he thought was a strange dream, became reality. Omniverse, Omnilium, Omni, Primes, everything fell together like pieces of the puzzle.
"But why does he want me? I am just a boy who wants to live a simple life."
Reborn did not accept this response and went in to slap him. His tiny hand came in hard and left an imprint across his cheek. "Stupid-Tsuna, You are the Vongola 10th, the next leader of the Vongola mafia family. You should be proud, this Omni found you special enough to bring you here. I knew that eventually you would come to this place, so I've been waiting for your arrival."
Tsuna looked as surprised as when this conversation started, none of this made any sense at all.
"So why am I here?" He finally asked.
Reborn showed a smug smile, "Isn't it obvious? To spread the greatness of the Vongola within the Omniverse."
"What? An entire world? Reborn you can't be serious. I don't want to be a mafia boss, i just want to go home to my friends and live a normal life."
"Idiot-Tsuna, you have no choice, no one has ever found a way out of this place before. If you really want to spread the fame of Vongola here, escaping won't be a bad plan."
Tsuna sighed as his next challenge became clear, apparently defeating Daemon Spade wasn't enough. He had to be taken to a strange new world, away from his friends, to be tested once again. Reborn took out two wool mitten like gloves and threw them onto Tsuna's lap, "Here, you will be needing these once more."
"My gloves! How did you get these?"
"How else? Leon made them for you, again." The small green lizard on top of Reborn's head displayed his tongue quickly before running a circle around the hat, he was clearly happy to see Sawada again. The young Vongola took his trusted gloves and stood up, looking around him and spotting the gates in the distance, "So where do we go now?"

The words still lingered in the air. Tsuna was still trying to wrap his head around the fact he was no longer at home.
"First things first, before anything else you will have to get used to these environments. What better way to do so than to find the Vongola rings. If we are to find your Guardians here in the Omniverse you will need those rings." The hitman spoke with his black hat covering his eyes to add a bit of drama to the scene.
Decimo looked confused, he knew what Reborn was talking about, but he was unsure what to make of it. His guardians and their rings should be at home, in his own world. "The Rings?" he asked wondering
"The first Vongola Family had a variety of unique members. Their traits helped to shape the rings. The first boss was said to be like the sky, colorful and engulfing everything, open to all things. SO his ring was the ring of sky. And the other rings were named after various types of weather that color the sky. The merciful shower that washes all away, the ring of rain. The turbulent gale that fiercely blows, the ring of storm. The drifting cloud that is never trapped by anyone and walks its own path, the ring of cloud. The illusion that prohibits knowledge of its true nature, the ring of mist. The orb of fire that brightens the great sky, the ring of sun. The thunderbolt that strikes a zealous blow, the ring of thunder. "
"Stop it Reborn, you've already explained this all to me once. But how does something like that even matter here, in this world?"
"Idiot-Tsuna, you will have to gather the rings and bring the Vongola family back to life." The Arcobaleno said as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Sawada couldn't do anything but stand with a perplexed look upon him.
"Reborn that's ridiculous, how do you even know the rings are here?"
The infant chuckled, "Because I found and hid them of course." He said proud. Leaving
"Are you serious?! Reborn, why would you do such a thing? Where did you put them?" The young Vongola asked panicky, knowing full well the Arcobaleno was up to something once more. He could guess the answer but the cursed hitman spoke before Tsunayoshi was able to.
"They are located at the most dangerous places I could find of course." Reborn said, confirming Tsuna's suspicion.
The young Vongola let out a long sigh. This wasn't the first time Reborn did something like this, he would probably end up getting hurt once more. Tsuna was reminded off all the times his tutor got him into serious trouble, "Wait, does this mean Varia is here as well?!"
"Don't be stupid, ofcourse not. Why would Varia be here?"
Tsuna started to rub his hands wildly through his hair, panicking once again as confusion struck once more. He didn't understand the situation he gotten himself into anymore, " None of this makes any sense. What are we to do now Reborn?"
"Isn't it obvious? We start with getting you your ring back, the ring of sky."
The 10th really didn't like the sound of that, but what choice did he have? "Where is the ring of sky?" He asked hesitantly.
Reborn just smiled and took a few steps towards the wide nothingness that is the Nexus, "Just follow me, I will show you." The cursed hitman turned away from his student and started walking.
"Reborn! wait for me!" Quickly the scared boy followed his tutor towards one of the many gates this verse holds.

Relief flooded over the boy. He had survived the graveyard and all of it’s atrocities. Proto Man had handed over the relics and taken the reward. While he was a little disappointed it hadn’t been him, it was most likely for the best. Blues had far more experience with this world than he did and if the Graveyard was any kind of give away, the Artefacts that were won would be highly sought after and the Hylian was still gathering his wits about him.
“HEY!” The high pitched squeal of Navi rang out of the white abyss, “HEY, LINK!” The green-garbed fighter hung his head for the briefest of moments, regardless of the Fairy’s ability to annoy, he was happy to see her, the fact given away by his beaming smile.
“Where’ve you been?! Oh- Hey, Look! After you disappeared.. Epona showed up. Looks like you can summon stuff after all, huh? Where’d you go, anyway?” The Fairy blurted out.
Link merely shrugged in response, perhaps the Fairy had gleaned some form of insight, simply through her proximity and the pair’s connection. It mattered little to the Hylian, he had to get moving. Who knows what the participants of the Hero’s Graveyard would attempt to pull? The boy sighed quietly as he sidled over to his newly summoned horse. Epona whinnied and tossed her head happily as the Hylian drew a hand across her mane.
Navi, however, had flittered off towards an odd pair in the distance. She called out towards her Hylian companion, “Link! C’mon! There’s people over here!” Link grimaced, visibly, as the Fairy dashed about the strangers, soaring around their heads in turn.
“Hey! Hey, you two! D’you know what’s going on?!” The Fairy clamored around the pair, only to be swatted away by the taller of the two. Link groaned as he wandered towards his recovering friend, watching the mismatched duo intently.
The Hylian dragged his feet slightly as he closed the gap between himself and the targets of Navi’s insistent questioning, she would be the death of him in this place, no doubt. Epona’s reins in hand, Link approached the pair and scooped his fallen companion, tossing her back into the air, allowing the blue, winged fairy to flutter around his head once more.
The boy dipped his head, smiling apologetically towards the duo as they turned to face him. Navi burst back into life, blurting out an introduction, leaving Link stammering. “Hey! This is Link, that’s Epona and I’m Navi, Link’s Fairy Guardian!” Devoid of hands to direct the stranger’s attention to those she introduced, the Fairy resorted to dashing a full circle around her companions’ heads, “Who are you two?!”

The high pitched fairy voice reached the duo. Tsuna looked perplexed at the winged creature, he had seen some crazy things in his own world but never something as strange as a fairy. Sawada couldn't get a word out, simply observing the strange duo in front of him until finally some words got blurted out, " Some weirdo's showed up! Reborn, what are we going to do? Reborn?" Tsuna looked around but didn't spot his tutor. Once again he vanished from his sight, a trademark act from the cursed baby.
"Hey, are you listening? Who are you?!" The seemingly annoyed fairy asked once more. Link moved up as well, standing next to his Fairy Guardian. This boy looked so much more impressive than Tsuna, it was obvious this person had been here longer than him. His green tunic struck the young Vongola as odd, his ears were different from his own. And even though Link didn't say much still didn't come across as a bad guy. The tenth wasn't quite sure why but he had a good feeling about this elflike boy, and his instincts have never served him wrong in the past. Just when Tsuna started to speak another high pitched voice started talking beside him.
"Greetings fellow Fairy Guardian, I am Fairy Guardian Reborn, I protect this young boy who goes by the name of No-Good-Tsuna." The now dressed in a fairy costume tutor spoke. Sawada had no words for this ridiculous display. Reborn always seemed to have a costume for every occasion, but this? This was just too stupid, even for his doing.
The other duo shared a look, almost as if they were the ones judging this time. " You must be the strangest Fairy Guardian I've seen." Navi spoke towards the dressed up Reborn. The two continued their bizarre conversation about Fairy Guardians as Tsuna looked towards the young Hero of time, hoping he would be able to shed some light on this whole situation. Unfortunately Link simply responded with a shrug.
"Have you taken a good look at this boy? It seems there is allot of potential that you haven't been teaching him about." The fake high pitched voice from Reborn said.
Navi obviously took offense, "What do you mean? He is doing the best he can!"
"Wasn't talking about him, but you, haven't you noticed he isn't using his full potential?"
The fluttering fairy started to fly around Link, as if observing him, "You know what, I think you're right. How did you know?"
"I'm a Tutor, it's my job to notice these kind of things." The disguised Reborn spoke proudly.
"Can you two stop talking for just one second?" Sawada interrupted the two companions, "What is all of this?" The panic within Tsuna's voice was very noticeable.
"Is he always this spineless?" Link's guardian asked.
Reborn nodded, "Yes, pretty much." He confirmed before directing his attention back to his student, " Tsuna this man is a prime, like you, he was taken to this world by Omni."
Sawada started to calm down, "Taken.., Like me?" The 10th felt sorry for Link, he as well was taken from his home world, leaving behind everything he knows. "So what brings you to this place?" He asked Link. But it wasn't the boy that answered, his companion was more than happy to answer the tenth's question, "We finally found each other again after young Link here disappeared once again. Where are you heading?"
"Reborn was guiding me to one of these gates, I believe we were going towards that one." Tsuna pointed towards the direction of the nearest gate. Isn't that right Reborn? Reborn?" Once more he disappeared. Tsuna sighed heavily as he let his shoulders hang down, "Not again,.. Well you are free to come along if you want?" Sawada asked the young hero of time.
Link simply nodded before Sawada continued his travel through the Nexus, this time, with a new companion.

Link followed the pair, his Horse in tow, nickering quietly in the background. Navi darted around the now foursome, shimmering away as her relentless barrage of speech continued.
“Ring of Sky, huh? Sounds a little like something from our home. What does it do?” The fairy mused, much to the dismay of the party, outwardly.
“It’s a little difficult to explain to someone with no knowledge of the rings to begin with,” The infantile tutor appeared from seemingly thin air, silencing his companion who had also opened his mouth the reply, “in short, the Rings have the power to convert Wave energy, that flows within the Human body, into Dying Will Flames.” The explanation did little to resolve the confusion, instead it succeeded in eliciting a perplexed gaze from the green-garbed Hero. The toddler shook his head somewhat, eyeballing the newcomers for a brief moment, “I can see this is only confusing you more. I’ll explain more in due time. Besides, there is nothing I can do to help No-Good-Tsuna without his ring. Your student, you said he is not working at his full potential?”
Navi relished the chance to speak, flittering around the toddler’s fedora before settling on the brim. “Well.. so far, all he can do is use his sword and shield.. And summon his Horse, Epona. Back in our world.. He was able to do all sorts of magic; launch energy from his sword, fire arrows that were enchanted in all sorts of ways, he even managed to master the magic of the Three Goddess’, Din, Farore and Nayru. But here.. Nothing. No magic. Sure, he can summon stuff, but that’s.. That’s normal for “Primes”, isn’t it?”
Tsuna and Link exchanged a vaguely clueless glance, they elected to remain outside of the conversation, their companion’s ego would suffice for the time being. Reborn brought a finger to his chin, idly rubbing his lower lip as he considered the boy’s options, his other arm folded across his chest. “How did the magic manifest? Was it through a physical item? Granted from an outside source or an innate ability?” Reborn questioned the Fairy perched within his hat.
“Well.. he was only ever able to use it after receiving a gift from the Great Fairies. They gave him the gift and from then on he was able to use the magic.” Navi spoke, her tone hushed for once.
“Maybe, then, you can grant him the ability. Short of that, you’d either have to seek out a Great Fairy.. If there is one in this world, or have him summon the Great Fairy’s gift for himself.” The tutor spoke, “What do you think?” His question directed towards the Hero of Time himself. Link nodded a few times, apparently lost in contemplation.
“Not much of a talker, is he?” Tsuna muttered, a reluctant smile forced across his visage.

The odd pair of couples continued their long walk towards the gate Reborn was guiding them all. Their journey was being accompanied by an awkward silence. Tsuna attempted to start a conversation several times, but was usually met with either a kind smile or a nod.
The young Vongola observed the mighty arsenal the elflike boy was carrying, the sword and shield both looked impressive. The decorative painting on the shield, the details on the hilt of the mastersword, it all looked so heroic. Compared to him Tsuna was just a wimp, walking around with his mittens. The tenth did feel safe next to Link, the aura he picked up from the sword wielding hero was very calm and just. Like a blanket of comfort it wrapped itself around the people near him.
Sawada asked the duo where they were from. The next thirty minutes of the journey was composed out of a long monologue from Navi who was more than happy to share the stories of their world and her adventures with Link. Time passed as they finally reached their destination. Several meters before the gate the party came to a stop, "why does this gate have guards?" Tsuna asked, hoping Reborn would have an answer. Again the underage tutor was nowhere to be seen. Tsuna sighed as he turned his attention towards Link, " I'm sorry about him, he does this all the time. I just hope he doesn't cause us any more trouble." Link replied once more with a shrug and a smile, implying that he didn't mind.
The Vongola heir walked up towards the stormtroopers guarding the path to Coruscant, "Hello, we're new here. Can you please tell us where we are?" The shy boy spoke with his friendliest of voices.
Behind the white military grade helmet a distorted voice answered, " This is the entrance to the Empire of Coruscant, what is your business here?" The sheer tone of the trooper did not sit well with Tsuna and was immediately intimidated once more. The words following were a collection of stammering sounds that did not make much sense to anyone. " I will ask you again, what is your business here in Coruscant?" The trooper asked once more. The fact that they both held guns within their hands did not help calm the young boy down.
Holding both his hands forward, Tsuna motioned that it is all a misunderstanding," We just came he because Reborn said so, I don't even know what Coruscant is, we just got here!" His cowards' outburst seemed to have effect as the guards lowered their weapons from their more readied post. Sawada let out a sigh of relieve when the situation diffused.
"Hold up! Look what i found on him!" A third distorted voice spoke behind the Vongola and his friend." The trio turned around, behind them was a two foot tall stormtrooper, obviously to Tsuna and his new friends that it was Reborn with one of his many costumes. The sight looked ridiculous to say the least, forcing a chuckle from Tsuna, a reaction that didn't sit too kindly with the two guards at the gate.
"Keep your snarky outburst to yourself, PX 4726 is an honorary stormtrooper for his services for the empire.
The young Vongola immediately adjusted his attitude to avoid trouble.
"What did you find PX 4726?"
Within his hands he held the Vongola ring of sky and lightning and held them upwards for all to see, "The empire has been searching for this one." Motioning for the ring of sky. "And the prime that comes with it."
Tsuna swallowed the lump stuck in his throat, this isn't going to bode well.
"Hands up you three! You're coming with us!" One of the guards shouted.
Sawada panicked as the blasters were aimed towards him ad his new companion. Link immediately drew his weapons, ready to defend himself. The Vongola wasn't planning on getting anyone hurt, "No stop! There is no need for any of this. Just put the weapons down." Both the trooper as the hero of time refused as the tension rose. The guards took a few steps forward, ready to apprehend the primes for questioning, but Link wasn't going voluntarily. With a bash of his shield he pushed back the trooper coming towards him. His partner, who was on his way towards Sawada, got jumpy and took aim at the mafia boy. Tsuna wasn't going to wait around and get hurt and started to run. A well aimed stun shot from the trooper took out Tsuna as he fell to the white floor of the nexus, unconscious. Reborn observed and shook his head before returning his attention towards Link who was at the ready to defend himself against the stormtroopers of Coruscant.
