Secondary Help - The Rogue - 02-16-2016

Although it is still going to be a while till I bring in Spartan-813, I was wondering what would happen to Valkyrie if he were to die here, cause she is keeping a big secret. Valkyrie is an A.I. She kinda lives in 813's armor.

Re: Secondary Help - Link - 02-16-2016

Unless Connor knows the secret, if Valkyrie dies, the secret dies with her. Secondaries are only summoned with what knowledge a prime has of them, so secrets disappear when they disappear.

A mod may well overrule me on that, but I believe that's how it is

Re: Secondary Help - Yu Kanda - 02-16-2016

Link is correct

Re: Secondary Help - The Rogue - 02-16-2016

Ahhh, well the secret is who got scanned for her, and his real name.
But if he dies, what happens to her dice she kinda lives in his armor?

Re: Secondary Help - Link - 02-16-2016

If they're two seperate entities, only the one who died would die. Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding here. If she relies on the armor to live, then I imagine she'd die as well. Unless you've got some way to counteract this?

Re: Secondary Help - The Rogue - 02-16-2016

Memory pod really, then is it possible if 813 knows he's about to die, can he send her to a memory unit and send it to his base via Recall station?

Re: Secondary Help - Link - 02-16-2016

That one would need a staff members approval, unfortunately. I'm not too sure how that could work.

Re: Secondary Help - Minato Namikaze - 02-16-2016

I mean, unless you've bought a base and a recall station, you can't create an NPC that already has a base... so that's probably not possible.

Does the suit of armor need to have someone in it for it to be powered?

Re: Secondary Help - The Rogue - 02-17-2016

No it does not, but wouldn't it disappeared with his body?

Re: Secondary Help - Minato Namikaze - 02-17-2016

I mean... if you want it to happen like that then sure... but the way I see it is that, if she is a part of the suit's systems, if the secondary inside the suit dies and disappears then she could (theoretically) Take over the suit? Assuming that it's the sort of mechanical suit that won't just crumple into a pile on the ground without a person inside of it.

Re: Secondary Help - The Rogue - 02-17-2016

Oh no, it definitely would crumple, the only time a suit would stand up by itself with out a human inside is if mechanical parts were inside. And the secondary in question is the A.I.

Re: Secondary Help - Minato Namikaze - 02-17-2016

Yeah I know, but I was just thinking that the AI could have taken over the suit. Well anyway, since they are two separate entities, and she kind of lives in the suit, then the suit could stick around until said AI is retrieved. If that's a way that you want to go about things.

I've made and had two NPCs approved with bases.

I was under the impression we couldn't do that...
