An Awakening in the Verse. - Kylo Ren - 01-13-2016

Quote:
SPOILER WARNING!

This post contains spoilers to The Force Awakens, if you have NOT seen it yet then I suggest that you READ NO FURTHER!

If you so wish to continue reading, or have seen the movie, then go on ahead! Just consider yourself warned!

His face burned, the flesh seared by his grandfather's own lightsaber, as Kylo Ren laid on the snow covered ground of the Starkiller base. That girl, the scavenger, stood mere meters away while he lay here beaten, disfigured, and his lightsaber broken. How could this insignificant girl from Jakku, untrained in the ways of the force, have beaten him? Even as injured as he was this fight should have been his, but the victory was snatched from him by this girl and her traitorous friend.

At least he had struck the traitor down.

FN-2178 should no longer be a problem for him, that is if he survived this ordeal. Kylo was sure that the scavenger would have struck him down in that very moment, if not for the timely intervention of the entire planet starting to implode around them. The ground had started to rumble, a large crack forming in the ground between them, before it split in two and separated the two foes from each other.

As the ground started to crumble to pieces around them the scavenger extinguished the blade of her lightsaber and ran off into the forest, leaving Ren there to his own fate. As he lay there his failure kept repeating in his mind, seared into his memory, and he vowed this would be the last time he was every defeated by the likes of them again.

Slowly the sound of the particular whine of a shuttle's engines filled his ear as a bright white search light illuminated the ground around him. He was sure that he could make out the sound of someone calling to him, probably Hux, as the world around him was enveloped by darkness.

When he awoke Kylo Ren was face down in an unfamiliar place, though his helmet had been replaced on his head and at his side he felt the familiar weight of his lightsaber. Pushing himself up off the ground he noticed that everything around him, the sky as well as the ground, was a pure white and the only colour he could make out was coming from some fountain he had awoken next to.

“What is this place?” he said to no one in particular, the helmet converting his words in to a more mechanical sounding voice. “Why can't I remember anything?”

Taking off his helmet and tucking it under his left armpit Kylo leaned forward and took a look at his relfection in the pool of water at the base of it. The wound he had been given had healed now, the scar that was now there looked like it was old and had not actually just happened a few moments ago. That little fact, coupled with how his lightsaber seemed to be whole again and he now had his helmet, led him to believe someone very powerful was responsible for this.

The question was 'Who was it?'

Kylo's reflection shimmered on the water's surface and was replaced for a brief moment but a white smiling face looking up at him, as if it was mocking him! Why did he know this face, why did he hate it so much? The rage inside of him was building, as if he was missing something that should have been very obvious to him.

As he started to straighten up, taking his eyes away from the fountain, the memories came back to him all at once. Dropping to his knees and clasping at his head he let out a yell as the memories washed over him like a tidal wave, each one jamming into the other and fighting for his attention. It was all there now, how he had been snatched up, the smiling face telling him he was basically no more then a play thing! He was master of the Knights of Ren! He had eliminated all but a few of the jedi! He was Kylo Ren and how dare this, this CREATURE, treat him like this!

Kylo could feel the Force here, he could feel the dark side rising in him, almost like a maelstrom threatening to overtake him as it filled his body and then erupted out of his hands as lightning that struck the fountain. Electricity hit the fountain and crackled and hissed, but other then that it had very little effect on the thing.

The young sith knelt there, breathing heavily, as he raised a gloved hand to his face and stared at it. He had not been able to do that before, how was it possible that he could gain that ability here? As if on command another memory rushed to the surface, something about this Omnillium substance and it granting him whatever he wanted. Apparently whatever it was it could give him new abilities and powers, here he could grow stronger, stronger then even Darth Vader had been!

“I will become stronger,” he started as he clenched his hand into a fist. “I will shun the light, gather the power of the dark side within me and I will surpass even you, Grandfather.”

Picking up his helmet Kylo replaced it on his head before standing up and looking around. He tried to reach out with the Force, sense who and what was nearby, but when he tried to extend his consciousness nothing happened. It seemed that, as he had gained new powers, so too might he have lost some others. He would have to build them up again and in time nothing would be able to stop him.

“I will bring order to this place, and I will eliminate any jedi that might have escaped here.” he vowed in his once again disguised voice. “This time, I will not fail.”

And with those words Kylo Ren, Master of the Knights of Ren, took his first step from the Fountain of Infinity and into the Omniverse.

Re: An Awakening in the Verse. - Kylo Ren - 01-14-2016

Kylo Ren had very little idea in which direction he had began to travel in since everything here was the same colour and seemed to stretch on for a bit and whatever detail in the distance was he could not make it out all too well. If he had to guess he would assume that he was travelling in an northern direction, but he could not be certain. It would not have been this hard if some of his force powers had not been stripped from him, but either way he had a feeling that this was the right direction.

Something was pulling him here.

He continued on his journey, ignoring all else happening around him, as if in a trance. Soon a great smoking gate could be seen, was this what had been drawing him here? What was it's importance? Before any of his questions could be answered a familiar sound snapped him back to reality and drew his attention to a pair not too far off from his current position.
