Darth Nihilus Awakening - Beta Ray Bill - 01-07-2016 The world became blindingly bright as Nihilus awoke from a deep sleep. He faintly recalled the figure of a pure white man and some parting advice. As he got up he studied this new world knowing that it was entirely different. The white blank space of the new and foreign land felt awkward for him ,but there was something different about Darth Nihilus. His body was restored and the Mass Shadows did not eat at him. Nor did his craving for force energy. Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Beta Ray Bill - 01-07-2016 Darth Nihilus looked around and paced two steps trying to remember what happened before Omni spoke to him ,but all he could remember was the face of a women with blond hair, white, skin, and angular features. Darth Nihilus felt a rush of anger and dark side energy flared off his body. Nihilus calmed and thought to him self to come up with a plan to get out of this world, and then he started walking. Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Gwendolyn - 01-07-2016 The time seemed to fly by as Koal listened to Leah's instructions, Filing away every word that came from her lips the moment she said them.. " Remember to never use your anger for the base of your power. That usually sets you up for failure. One can not think and form an efficient clearly when the mind is clouded by anger. Do you understand?" Koal nodded his head the affirmative. " Good. Now, do you remember what we talked about earlier? About how certain demons can transmit their essence into a concealable form? I am one such demon, and I am going to do so now." Before Koal could question Leah as to what she meant by that, a fierce burning sensation manifested itself on his left hand. The burning sensation began to move in two separate lines on his hand, darkening as they moved along, stopping after some of the longest few seconds of Koal's life. He looked at his left hand, breathing heavily due to the amount of pain he had just experienced. A black emblem was inscribed onto the once-blank surface of his hand. Time to get moving, little one." Koal jumped at the feminine voice in his head, letting out a very manly scream. As the voice in his head laughed, Lynch noticed a break in the blank white landscape of the Nexus. A small black-clad figure now stood next to the fountain of Infinity. " Might as well check it out." The half-demon said, fitting his black mask over his face. _____________________________________ It didn't take long for Koal to jog over to the fountain, but when he did, the air around him thickened and he felt an aura of anger around the man. Koal quickly unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards the man. "Identify yourself immediately or I will be forced to resort to violent measures." Koal's voice reverberated through his mask, making it sound deeper and more intimidating. Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Beta Ray Bill - 01-07-2016 As Nihilus was traversing the white landscape, a man in a mask approached him and pulled out his sword and leveled it at him. "Identify yourself immediately or I will be forced to resort to violent measures." the man directed the words at Nihilus. " Foolish boy, do you not know who I am, I am the Dark Lord of the Sith, bask in my presence and fear me." The man backed slowly and waved his sword. Nihilus drew his lightsaber and they stood in silence locked at eye contact waiting for the next move. Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Gwendolyn - 01-08-2016 As much as Koal loved the route of diplomacy, this black- clad "Dark Lord" was starting to piss him off. The man seemed to think that he was the greatest thing to ever grace the world with his presence. " If you think I'm going to bow down to you, then you're going to be waiting a long time." Koal growled low in his throat, warning this man to back off, or die. Why must you two always feel the need to fight? the tired voice of Leah rang out in his head. Koal ignored her as he and the man began to walk in a wide circle, eyeing each other for weaknesses. The man wore a white mask that looked to be made of a material not known to him. He wore flowing black robes that concealed everything else that was the man's body. He walked with the confidence and pride of a great hunter, someone used to being at the top. An Apex Predator. But the demon in Koal didn't like to back down either. Koal lunged at the man his sword swinging in an overhead motion, as if to cleave the man in two. The dark figure withdrew a small object from within his robes and suddenly Koal felt his attack be blocked. The Dark Lord was holding an intricately carved...hilt of some kind. The red line that Koal assumed was the blade of his weapon was held horizontal to Koal's sword, halting it's downward motion. Lynch was violently shoved back, tripping over his own feet and falling to the ground with a heavy thud Koal was mad. Really really mad. And it didn't help that the man was letting out a soft chuckle at Koal's anger. Koal was about to attack again when the dark apparition-like man started to speak. ""Good. Very Good. Use your anger to your advantage, young one. Use it to crush your enemies into submission." The man then raised his gloved right hand and his black gaze seemed to focus on Koal's sword. The half-demon let out a small yelp as the weapon was torn from his hand and buried itself into the ground next to his head. "Like so." Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Beta Ray Bill - 01-08-2016 Nihilus laughed at the boy. "I sense lots of anger in you Koal, that's your name right, you have experienced a lot of fear in your life, it seems there something in your mind to but I cant identify it. Your memories seem disoriented as if they've been tampered with. Koal freaked out and pulled his out of the ground. Nihilus leveled his lightsaber at Koal "I can teach you to focus your anger to make you stronger and teach you how to fix your memories. Nihilus deactivated his lightsaber and stared down at The boy expectantly, awaiting his answer... Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Gwendolyn - 01-11-2016 Koal's eyebrows scrunched together as he considered this... Sith Lord's offer. His memories had been tampered with? It wasn't impossible, Nazis had that kind of technology. But the dark figure has piqued Koal's interest. He stood, and dropped down to a knee at the man's feet. " I submit myself to your training...Master" His master nodded approvingly, gesturing for him to stand. As is Sith tradition, you must now choose a new name, for this is the start of a new life for you. One without weakness. One of power." His master looked at him expectantly, waiting for Koal's reply. Koal took a moment to consider, thinking hard. " Darth Kalosis, but I would still like to be referred to as my old name." The half-demon's voice reverberated through the mask as he looked at his master, shifting his weight to his left foot and crossing his arms over his chest. Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Beta Ray Bill - 01-11-2016 " For now on you will be recognized as Darth Kalosis, my new apprentice. And it is my duty as your Master to teach you the ways of the Force. Rise my apprentice." Nihilus's voice crackled and hummed. Koal got off of his knee. "Your first lesson is to repeat and learn the Sith mantra, and take the lesson into your body and soul, all Sith use this for every thing they do, in war, politics and philosophy, repeat after me: Peace is a lie there is passion, through passion I gain strength, through strength I gain power, through power I gain victory, through victory my chains are broken. The Force shall free me." Koal tried to repeat the mantra, stumbling over a few lines. Nihilus patiently corrected him and explained the nature of the words Koal was speaking. "Now that you know the basics, I believe that it's time for the real mission, our mission is to act as a shepherd to those who are weak. Survival at the fittest. A concept you are quite familiar with, are you not?" Nihilus patiently awaited his new apprentice's answer. Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Gwendolyn - 01-11-2016 Koal had a difficult time memorizing and understanding the Sith Code, but his master helped him understand it. As did Leah and Seraph. The Arch-demon wanted to meet Koal's new Master, for reasons unknown. Koal tightened the mental barriers in his head, ensuring that Seraph would not break free and do something they both, or at least Koal, might regret. Koal stretched his weary limbs, grunting as his joints cracked, echoing out into the empty expanse of the Nexus. His eyes caught an unfamiliar gate that he hadn't really paid any mind to before. Made of red hote stone with smoke billowing from it's maw. It seemed to call to him. "Master..." His master raised his head. "Yesss?" Koal just pointed at the gate. "We should go there." Koal started, " It calls to me." Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Gwendolyn - 01-14-2016 His master shook his head. "Not yet. I sense someone is coming. Someone we can use to our advantage." Nihilus's voice grated to a halt as he bowed his head in meditation. "While we wait, may I ask something of you?" His master grunted, signaling for Koal to continue speaking. "Will you construct a lightsaber crystal for me? His master's head snapped up. " Why do you think that you're even worthy of the weapon of the Sith?" Koal's face flushed red as the words registered in Koal's mind. Don't take that from him, make him regret uttering those words!' Seraphs rasping, dark voice roared in his head, igniting his anger. Koal blurred forward grasping the collar of Nihilus's robes, hoisting him in the air, letting out a demonic cry that seemed to echo outward. As Koal's hand drew back to punch his master's lights out, the air shifted. Koal was blasted backwards as a wave of unfettered force power echoed outwards. Koal let out a grunt as the wind was knocked out of him as he landed on the ground with a heavy thud. He gritted his teeth as his mental barriers became strained, the Arch-demon who called for the Dark Lord's blood. "Good, you know when to back down. The job of a Sith master is to set an example of strength, and to train the apprentice in the ways of the dark side. The apprentice's job is to learn and obey, to crave the power, until they are strong enough to defeat the master." His master stopped. "What happens if the apprentice cannot defeat the master?" Lynch panted, struggling to get up. His master's blank eyes, as cold and chilling as death itself, turned on him. "Then, you die." A transparent crystal flew through the air, landing in front of Koal with a soft tinkling sound as it slid and bounced across the ground. His master turned around, facing away from Koal, and once again bowed his head. Koal picked up the delicate-looking crystal and drew out his newly crafted hilt, the silver contrasting with the black leather hand-grips. Opening a hatch in the side of the hilt, he carefully set the crystal, adjusting it slightly. Koal ignited the lightsaber, and a silver blade at length of four and a half feet. The half-demon let out a laugh of dark delight as he moved the lightsaber through the air, doing complex lightsaber attacks as he jumped about ten feet through the air, landing on the balls of his feet. He deactivated the lightsaber and clipped it to his left hip. He then took after his master, and bowed his head, closed his violet orbs, and focused his anger... Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Kylo Ren - 01-14-2016 The master of the Knights of Ren, apprentice to Supreme leader Snoke, clentched his fist at what he saw. A lightsabre, and it's blade was a silvery white, which meant that it was possible that there could be other force users here. This one did not appear to be Sith though, the blade of a Sith has always been red due to the crystals used in construction. While the young one was not Sith it was hard to tell with his dark cloaked companion, he could see no signs of who or what this person was. He tried once again to reach out with his consciousness to get a read of the pair but was once again greeted with nothing. So he would not be able to tear the answers out of there mind, so it looked like it would have to do it the old fashioned way. Squaring his shoulders he confidentially marched over to them and pointed a gloved finger at the one with the silver plasma blade, his voice sounded angry even with the modulation his helmet provided it. “Where did you get that weapon, are you a Jedi or merely a scavenger with a stolen blade?!” his attention was then drawn to the cloaked man who had his back turned to him. “You there! The one in the cloak, you will identify yourself!” The strange man turned to regard the young sith, and it was in this moment that Kylo noticed that he too work a helmet or mask of some sort. This one though was white with strange red markings on it. The masked figure held up a hand to the man with the silver lightsabre, as if to tell him to stay put, before he spoke to Kylo. “You are,” the man in the white mask seemed to be pondering this over a bit before finally finishing his thoughts. “Insignificant. Come Koal, let us leave this wretch and be on our way.” The young man just looked at Kylo and pushed a button on the hilt of his weapon, the blade vanishing as the power was cut off, then both master and apprentice turned their back on Kylo Ren. “HOW DARE YOU!” Almost as soon as he shouted these words the master of the Knights of Ren had his lightsabre in hand and with a click the blade snapped to life, hissing and crackling as the unstable plasma blade ignited. Firs the main blade took shape, it's edges having almost a serrated look due to it's clearly unstable nature, and then following it where two cross vents, small blades roughly two inches long that came out of either side near the main blade. As soon as his weapon was fully ignited he lashed out at the man in the dark cloak, intending to strike him down and show him exactly who here was irrelevant. His victim seemed to be prepaired for it though for his blade was met with another, this one was more stable but the colour was hard to mistake. It was the red blade of a Sith. The unblinking mask stared into the blank expression of Kylo's helmet, neither wanting to tip their thoughts or emotions to the other. As far as raw strength and power went the two were matched, but the one in the white mask had something the young Knight of Ren did not. He had decades of experience and knowledge. At the same time another blade came to life, the apprentice's silver blade, though his master gave him a command that caused him to extinguish the weapon. “NO!” the masked man snapped, “He is mine to decide what to do with.” And with that the battle began. Their clash lasted only a few moments, as intense as it was. Kylo would press the attack, slashing at him with great strength but very little skill, and the man deflecting the blows gracefully with a bit of effort. Each time their blades met with where met with the snap and hiss as energy blades collided against each other. To them it was a battle to decided their fates, though to anyone else watching it was a savage and deadly dance. Eventually they broke away from each other, a few feet apart, sabre's still at the ready. “You are strong, full of anger, but very rash. You make too many mistakes.” the masked man said to him. “What is your name?” “I am Kylo Ren, master of the Knights of Ren. Who exactly are you?” The man seemed to be considering his question, as if he wasn't sure if he was going to ask it or not. “I am Darth Nihilus, Lord of Hunger, and also your new Master.” Was the man's reply. Did he actually just proclaim himself to be Kylo's master? He was bold, that was for sure. “And what makes you think I need one? I am strong in the Force, maybe even as strong as you are!” AS if to accent his point Kylo made a bit of force lightning crackle around a clenched fist while the other held his lightsabre steady. The man actually laughed at this. “Perhaps, but you are not fully trained.” The man tilted his head to the side, as if he was once again appraising Kylo, before nodding. “I have ancient knowledge and skills you lack, with my help you can surpass your own legacy. You will train with me” The last part of that sentence was made so matter of factly that it sent shivers down Kylo's spine. This man had a presence he had felt only once before so far, and that was Snoke himself. The masked one also mentioned something about his legacy, that particular bit rang deeply with the young Sith, leaving him with only one questioning thought in his mind. Grandfather, what should I do? He knew of course exactly what he must do, he had to strong stronger! He would finally rid himself of the light that still plagued him at the edges of the darkness. Extinguishing the blade Kylo Ren knelt and bowed his head. “Teach me.” Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Beta Ray Bill - 01-14-2016 "Well if theirs no more interruptions I believe we will head to were Koal said he wanted to go". Nihilus shouted to make sure they were listening. Koal, Ren and Nihilus marched to the red gate. " There is one more detail that has to be taken care of your both to practice lightsaber training in forms 1 of and 2, and before I forget the history of Sith". Nihilus instructed folding his arms with a dour look. Nihilus then pulled out the Omnilium from his cloak. Nihilus concentrated hard on the Idea of a Sith holocron with Sith history programmed in it, and thought harder to make to of the same object twice. Two Sith holocrons appeared in his right hand, and tossed it to them. "Now get in that gate" Nihilus shouted as he pushed them in it and then followed them. Re: Darth Nihilus Awakening - Gwendolyn - 01-15-2016 Koal didn't trust this newcomer. Call it intuition, but the half-demon thought that this Kylo Ren, was bad news. He wanted so badly to just slice the bastard down the face with his newly constructed lightsaber, but his master has taken him on as an apprentice. Koal growled under his black mask, the dark metal reverberating the noise, deepening the sound. His mind shifted, and his other half, Seraph, started to speak. Koal couldn't understand a thing he was saying, the language that the demon was speaking seemed rougher, more ancient than anything Koal had ever heard. As time went on walking through the white landscape that was the Nexus, it started to seem familiar to Koal, and the seal in his left eye began to burn once more. He tried to play it off, but the pain began to grow until black spots danced in his eyes, then his vision went dark. __________________________________________ Seraph open his eyes, wincing as the blinding light pierced his red orbs. Groaning, he sat up, propping his body up on an elbow. This, Master of Koal's was staring down at him with those Black, empty eyes that Intimidated his human half. He stood up pushing both of the black clad figures away from him in the process. "Back away, humans. Don't think that I won't gut you for daring to touch me." Seraph dusted off his clothes, and looked towards the gate that He had led Koal to travel to. " And when the time is ripe, you had better not interfere. This is between me, and Koal." The vessel that held both the soul of Koal and Seraph stumbled when Seraph handed the reins back to the human. "Interesting. We continue on." Nihilus gestured to Ren and Koal to continue moving. Koal opened his mouth to speak, but words that didn't make any sense to him came out. 'You have been gifted the ability to speak the language of despair, use it well, youngling.' Leah's voice echoed in his head, the soft, musical tones of her voice driving away the pain in his head. He then began to go over his teaching from both Leah and Nihilus, cross referencing the two and drawing his own conclusions. All the while, speaking in the language of despair. It didn't take too long for the traveling group to reach the gate. The red-hot stone felt cool to the touch when Koal ran his fingers along it. The ash that seemed to endlessly seep out of ever crack and crevice made Koal feel something not often felt since he was stolen away and brought to this world. Determination. Without a back ward glance, Koal stepped through the gate, and closed his eyes. |
