Mega Man - Mega Man - 01-04-2016 [/youtube]watch?v=2RX2NlSuUy0[/youtube] b]Character name:[/b] Mega Man Character source: Mega man Character history: In the year 20XX the world has made many advance robots beyond our very comprehension. However one robot stood out Rock, one of Dr. Light's greatest creations. In 20XX Dr. Light unveiled 6 robots Ice Man, Cut Man, Guts Man, Fire Man, Bomb Man, and Elec Man. However prior to this event his colleague Dr. Wily was banned from the field of robotics for using chemical weapons in his robot designs for the military. Jealous of the attention Dr. Light was receiving for something both of them worked on Dr. Wily reprogrammed the robots right before their unveiling. When the switch was flipped the newly dubbed " Robot Masters " went beserk and attacked everything in sight. Dr. Wily sat back and watched as he took over the world with his robot army. However Rock with his strong sense of justice volunteered to stop the menace. Dr. Light immediately went to work and built a ( well its some kind of suit as Rock himself can change between Mega Man and himself so....) armor for Rock and Reprogrammed him as Mega Man. 2 years later Mega Man is still foiling Wily's diabolical plans. Until Proto Man his brother was transported to the omniverse. (look at Proto Mouse's profile) Searching for him he came to the remains of the Wily Tower. (Mega Man The Wily Wars) at the center of the remains he was attacked and heard a voice and then there was a white flash. Upon his awakening he was in the Omniverse. [/b]Physical Description:[/b] (originals only) Mega Man Blue helmet and light blue skinsuit covered with blue metal undies, gloves, and boots. Rock Blue t shirt with white sleeves. Brown khaki shorts, blue sneakers with white laces. He can instantly change into armor at will Stats: ATK:3 DEF:2 SPD:2 TEC:3 Starting Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency1000 Physical strength proficiency: 1000 Starting Powers: Burst Movement 800 Super jump 800 Starting Moves: Buster shot (requires Ranged Proficiency) 600 OM Shoots 3 shots from the Mega Buster that move very quickly and do little damage. Each shot has its own relatively high accuracy and each shot takes 1 second to fire and each shot goes 15 ft. When charged it takes 4 seconds to fire and can go up to 30 ft. before fizzling out. The shot does a lot of damage and depending on the distance makes contact in 1-3 seconds. It is also Very large almost the size of Mega Man. Mega ball (uses Physical strength proficiency Ranged Proficiency) 600 OM mega man spawns a bouncy ball. he can jump on it to increase his jump height or dodge a hit. He can also kick it at the opponent so it explodes and does a decent amount of damage. Ricochets off walls dissipating after 15 seconds so Mega Man can spawn a new one.(only one Mega Ball can be used at a time) If there are no walls it flies 10 feet. I plan to have Eddie, Beat and Tango be unlockable moves. would they cost as an assist or a remote control in battle. For those who don't know Eddie can either Restore one Mega man's stats ( Energy or weapon energy) and can hover and launch bombs out of his head. Beat can carry mega man a short distance over pits and should he fall carry him out preventing the loss of a life. He also can home in on enemies and peck them One by one. (Homes in on enemy pecks return to mega man. Repeat) Tango Curls into a spike wheel and dashes forward striking enemies and going up walls. Mega man cant use any weapon but an uncharged mega buster shot when Tango is still in battle. (apparently he has 999 lives (get it?) as he can roll into bottomless pits and be summoned again just as easily after that.) Thank you for considering my character submission and have fun. Apologies about the minor delay, but for the future try and wait at least 72 hours before posting again in topics like these. Lots of things going on for us to keep track of and we can't always get to things right away. But, anyway, let's see about reviewing your app and go down the list in order... You only have 10 stat points to distribute when you start. You've got 17 listed down here. That's an easy enough fix. Proficiencies and Powers are fine and dandy. On to Moves. Mega Buster — Actual accuracy will be entirely relevant on your TEC stat, just to mention. Everything else looks good enough, just make a mention of the approximate range the attack(s) have. Mega Ball — Jumping on it to increase jump height is a no-go without Super Jumping of some capacity. That could be your means of implementing it if you like, but would add variability to the move, making it 600 for bouncing on it and being able to kick it for damage. Mention about how far it goes when kicked, and if you can have more than one 'in play' at any given time, as that would have an effect on pricing. Slide — This wouldn't really need a move, it would be fine just to do it, possibly as an explanation of Megaman's Burst Movement ability. Rush Adaptor is confusing. Is it a power up/transformation, or Assist? The stat layout doesn't work regardless, and even if it did you can't purchase Assists or Transformations at Level 1. Pow Buster — The move itself is fine at a basic level, just need mention of the approximate range of the shockwave produced and the size of the explosion, charging time if any, and the time it can be wound up for the increased damage. As for other questions, they could technically all function as Assists. For Eddie, restoring Megaman's stats (in this case making an analogue to Energy being Damage in the combat system here, and Weapon Energy being SP) you'd be fine to represent that as the consumable items you could purchase, or just the natural healing Primes are capable of out of battle, but it wouldn't have any effect mid-battle. Launching bombs would be fine just as a move Eddie can do. Beat would be appropriate as a possible representation of the Flight power, possibly, but that's about all I can think of. Him homing in on enemies to peck at them would be appropriate as a Move. Tango doing his thing to crash into enemies and up walls would also be fine as a Move. All that said, it never hurts to take a more thorough look through the rules, and at the Joining applications of other members, new and old, to get a good idea of how go about structuring moves and such, and if you have any further questions, the Help Desk is always willing and able to supply them. The only remaining hiccup is with Mega Ball. As opposed to it having 'infinite' range while ricocheting against walls, just give it a time limit for it to continue to bounce around as long as it has things to bounce off of. Around five seconds would be a good place to start. Take care of that and I'll get you set up to go.
