Great Frozen Fields Expedition of 2016 - Jade Harley - 01-03-2016
Welcome, to the Great Frozen Fields Expedition of 2016! *cue theme music*
Overview
So, a little while ago I made a Story Request that would involve Jade and a few others gallivanting off into the Frozen Fields to have loads of excellent snow adventures! But, there were several suggestions about what we could do, and so I’ve opened up a discussion thread for selecting one.
Just to be clear, here are the details:
LIST OF PEOPLE:
- Jade Harley.
- Solomon Grundy.
- Tartaros.
- Gamzee Makara.
- Proto Man.
- Strazio Rockwell.
- Nealaphh. (No definite post schedule.)
Time limit: You have 3 days to post after calling.
Word count: No set word count. This is just for fun.
Participants: 7.
Location: Frozen Fields.
Objective: ??? Have fun back-packing across icy wastes, fight/befriend some monsters, get sweet loot.
CALL SYSTEM IS NOW IN EFFECT. YAAAY.

Story Ideas
The original plan was this:

This general idea would mesh well with what Thaal offered to do, which was this:

And this all seems pretty excellent to me! There wouldn't even need to be any pressure on the Storyteller to keep giving us any prompts, since we're really in no hurry. I think the above option would be super exciting, but this is a group thread and I'd like for everyone to share their thoughts!
I also liked Sasuke’s idea, which went like this:

Their employer believes the ruins to contain an artifact that would work as a cure all for the princess, as there are many rumors about a mysterious ice ruins that appear every couple of years in the frozen fields, filled with powerful artifacts, and they believe this to be that very one.
Once your character decides to help them, they could come into such conflict as a rival expedition group in the form of trolls who cause problems for your group. Obvious traps like snake pits, and surprise arrow volleys. Also, got to kill that ice banshee who caused all the problems.
Perhaps the original dwarf leader has become an undead and your group must slay him, only their leader was a badass in life as he is now in death.
Fill free to take from/mold this into anything you like, but some suggestions to get you thinking. Hope you like! ^_^
This one was sort of specific but not specific enough to be restrictive, so it would make for an interesting story!
I was thinking, though, that maybe instead of an ice banshee and a witch doctor, we have a Horrorterror chilling out in the snowy clouds of the Frozen Fields fiddling with the dwarves and trolls’ lives, imperceptible in all its grimlight and tangled glory. It could be sort of like Feferi’s lusus Gl'bgolyb, only totally grimlight and seeping acidic brightness. An “outer fucking god the size of a city”, and we get to kill it. Of course, I’ll most likely need to write up an NPC thing for it, and this is all just a big 'maybe'.
Anyways, now we can start discussing ideas! I know Adam mentioned that he miiiiight have some a while back, and my ideas are a little bit weird, so tell me what you think! We don’t exactly have to have a plan yet, though it would be nice to have one. This thread will be very organic and subject to change, so let your creative juices run free!

I've wanted to venture into the Frozen Fields ever since Nealaphh talked about ice volcanoes in the chatbox months ago. Not sure who I'm sending yet, but it'll be some sort of secondary and I'll have it figured out soonish.
