Light of an Ex Lantern - James Knight - 07-15-2016 Hal Jordan was somewhere that he had no clue where he was. His ring was missing and had been replaced by a Gauntlet. Oh that was right. The Durlans had impersonated the Green Lanterns and he'd had to fight Kilowog in order to give the Green Lanterns a fresh start. An attempt was made by Hal to activate the communicator in his gauntlet to reach the Green Lantern Corps. It didn't work. Why didn't it work? Worry began to shoot through him like a hot lance through butter. There was nothing around but a Fountain. A jerk named Omni had told him that he could make a lot with the power of Omnilium. Now if this was right he should be able to make a device to get the gauntlet functional again. "So I'm in a new place and cut off from all of the Green Lanterns. Omnilium can apparently make anything I want, and my gauntlet isn't working quite right..." Hal held out his hand and Omnilium surrounded the gauntlet, shrinking it until it fit him perfectly. But he'd need more than this. As his clothes had been burnt away when he was brought here, Hal closed his eyes and took a deep breath, imagining the perfect outfit. ![]() "Okay. Clothing is no longer a concern now. It's time to find my way to some sort of civilization. Perhaps there I could start to build up a new life. I do know this. I'll need to learn how to use the power of this gauntlet I'm wearing to survive." RE: Light of an Ex Lantern - James Knight - 07-15-2016 Hal held out the palm of his hand outstretched and attempted to make a simple construct of a blade. When one would not form in his hand he was getting a little miffed because he couldn't make a blade. What was wrong with this place? Why was the gauntlet not functioning like the ring? Where was he... oh right. He was in the Omniverse and in a place called the Nexus. Krona's Gauntlet was not functioning properly... the way it should. This meant he'd have to find some way of getting it operational. Perhaps if he were more powerful... wait. That was it. Omni probably stole most of his powers the gauntlet normally gave him away from him. So in order to rectify that situation, Hal had to learn how to use his abilities again. It SHOULD be easy, right? All he had to do was put in some serious time and go back to the basics as it were. "So check list. The gauntlet is not functioning fully like I envision it should because of some sort of dampening effect on my abilities, or Omni stole them. Either way, I need to regain. For that to happen I'll need to recreate the Green Lantern Corps here. But where could I get started?" Noticing the Gateway to Coruscant, Hal smiled. Where there were people with blaster rifles there was usually advanced technology. Should he be capable of gathering the Omnilium he needed, Hal could build a corps. With that he'd start making his way slowly to the gate. After about fifteen minutes, Hal said. "Screw it. I'm going in style." Two minutes of concentration later and a green plane appeared. Using it, he'd speed off towards the gate. It took him roughly 3 hours to arrive. When he arrived he'd levitate down to the ground and dissipate the plane. Approaching one of the soldiers near the Gate Hal asked. "What is through here?" The Storm Trooper looked at Hal for a moment and scanned him. This Prime was actually asking what was through the gate? Well the Prime did seem powerful. Perhaps they could use him. "Why this leads to Coruscant, Home of the Empire... a place that could use some heroes." Hal thought about it for a moment. It had been a while since he'd been a Green Lantern and it felt actually right... but no. He'd play the role of the villain for the time being until he could master his own skills. With that he'd turn around and after 2 more minutes have summoned another ride... this time a green motorcycle. Once it was summoned he started driving back towards the fountain, and headed... towards the Endless Dunes. There could be somewhere that he could start to establish himself as a sort of mercenary until he could get the resources to build a Green Lantern Corps. "I'll need to rebuild my lanterns... from the ground up it seems like..." |
