How to tone Jak down as "Family Friendly" without offending? - Jak Mar - 12-08-2015
I want Jak to still be himself, but it's hard to tone Dark Jak down however.

Maybe something's bothering him so he isn't as talkative?
I'd do something where you don't have to bend your character too much. If you wind up making him do something he wouldn't do you'll be annoyed by it forever.

I'm thinking of doing Jak that way, but he's honestly annoyed about something though. I don't really want to have to tone dark jak down if a fight breaks out between the two characters.

Maybe just actually censor the words while you're in the particular thread? Idk if your writing partner is okay with "f***" for example, but at least that way you're still able to have Jak express himself as normal and technically fulfill the no offensiveness requirement. Even comic books do that and they're aimed at kids and up, so it's a reasonable compromise.

I'm not sure you really need to since the Jak you're using is from the point in the series where the games were rated T.

At magus and minato, thanks. I'll start censoring if i need to. Basically a worried Torn and Jak arguing about Daxter and then Jak storming off and going to the tangled greens.
Gin, they requested no hard pg-13 is all.

Then I guess nothing worse than damn or bastard. I believe that's how the games wrote him as well.
