Need a good sword-name - Miranda Frost - 12-02-2015 Mmkay. According to miranda's story, Her family's sword is renamed after it gains a new wielder. I've never been good at naming things, so i'd like a little help with this one. I also have a basic shape i've drawn in mspaint (below) if im not particularly clear in my description http://staffseargant.deviantart.com/art/Freedom-Impendent-259189918 ??? (Requires Physical Strength): This sword passed down generation after generation down her family line, and previously named frostbite by her brother, is a large, double "edged" broadsword at 6 feet in length and 6 inches in width. Despite its rather plain appearance, one can clearly notice its lack of a proper edge. In the edge's place is a slot. the cutting edge is housed inside the sword by mechanical workings. If she were to twist the handle the sharp edge would be released and the sword would increase in width to a foot. The two halves of the bladespring out revealing a bit of its mechanical interior with a large black gemstone placed in the center of the blade just above the hilt. From about two feet from the tip the blade is split leaving a a gap four inches wide leading to a chevron-shaped blade in the middle of the sword. Typically a ceremonial blade marking the wielder as the proper head of the Frost family, however the mysterious and miraculous nature of the Omniverse makes the weapon viable. Although it was more or less a symbol of Miranda's family, its original uses were dark. Back when the family was fairly large in capacity, branches of the family would make an attempt to wipe out other contenders for the family "Throne". The loser[s] of these internal disputes would be set upon a stone table facing upward (or downward if that were the loser's choice) and the sword would be slammed down in a guillotine-like fashion. Dedication to this prized blade has led to its downfall with Miranda frost (and her brother) being the final heirs to their empty family responsibilities. Of course she wishes to revive that family here in the omniverse and have it become a ruling faction inside the Ashen Steppes Re: Need a good sword-name - Jade Harley - 12-02-2015 Coldhound. Winterbrand. Sunthaw. Dark Ice? These names are silly, I'm sorry! Something to do with a tooth or an icicle or something? Iunno. I am terrible with names. :psy: Re: Need a good sword-name - Demetri Malius - 12-02-2015 Winter's Fang Re: Need a good sword-name - Thaal Sinestro - 12-02-2015 Well, I mean... every sword has it's own... personality? I guess? I know that's hard to understand, but it's hard to know what to name it without knowing more about the blade and how its used. Tell us more?
Re: Need a good sword-name - Tartaros - 12-02-2015 But seriously, not sure... Frostbite? Or, judging by that design, a broken version of Dragonslayer.
Re: Need a good sword-name - Miranda Frost - 12-02-2015 edited annnd it is currently using the Name Frostbite. Until Miranda kills her brother for it and reclaims it. Re: Need a good sword-name - Magus - 12-02-2015 Kony 2012. Or... shit. What did I call Sage's ice claws? Chillrend, I think. You're welcome to use it if you like. Her other moves could be applied to an "ice sword" archetype: Frostrazor / Razorflake? Wrath of Winter? Re: Need a good sword-name - Corporal Light - 12-02-2015 Sword of the Snow Winter's Bane Blizzard Ice Spike Hailstorm Chilling Blade These are just a few names off the top of my head Re: Need a good sword-name - Dawnika Snow - 12-02-2015 I love making Japanese type names, so if you want my opinion I'd name it some thing along the lines of Yuki Gekido, which means Snow Fury. Re: Need a good sword-name - Undyne - 12-03-2015 Frostbringer Tundra Slicer Frozen Heart Soulchill Glacial Bite Winter Thorn Some stuff I thought of ![]() Or "Friendship", so you can say "I killed people with Friendship." Re: Need a good sword-name - Ganondorf - 12-03-2015 "Dat Sword" "Not-a-sword" "Face Puncher" Just off the top of my head. Re: Need a good sword-name - Blue Eyes - 12-03-2015 IT! Re: Need a good sword name - Erik Vrell - 12-03-2015 Erik's guide to sword naming. Don't worry. I'm an expert. Here is the foolproof guide to naming a sword. (Noun)(verb)er Works every time. (Results may vary.) But really though, so far I have Absolute zero, frigid rage and my favourite, Avalanche on account of the former guillotine usage Re: Need a good sword-name - Weiss Schnee - 12-04-2015 Black Ice. |
