Hey man, I'm thankful for a lot of stuff, and I think the more modern spirit of the holiday is great.
I do feel a lot of guilt today though, for all of our native american brothers and sisters that we stole this land from. It's really a mixed bag for me.

Whoa. Don't lump us in with them.
Srsly though only our neighbor celebrates thanksgiving today. The rest of North America is just having another regular day.
Happy Conquest Commemoration Day neighbors!

Ate some turkey, drank some tea, had a good time appreciating books and rain. Can't ask for much more other than saying hey to some of my friends *waves to yall*
Aaand complete.

I know America catches a lot of flak for our treatment of the Native American people, as we should, but on this day, as a man of partial Native American heritage myself, I choose not to remember that. Instead, I remember that meal when two vastly different people came together as equals for the first time in our history. For me, that's the meaning of the holiday. For people to come together and rejoice in our similarities instead of our differences.
