New Beginning - JasonRen - 11-22-2015

As soon as he could move, Jason dropped into Alpha stance expecting imminent danger. He slowly and steadily began to rotate, keeping himself crouched into Alpha. Eyes scanning the visible terrain for any form of danger. After a few silent minutes Jason finally came to the conclusion that he was safe, and eased himself back to normal height. In the far distance just on the horizon of whatever world this was, Jason could see what appeared to be massive sized structures, each one placed conveniently in every direction. It was like a compass, only Jason didn't know which direction was north, south, east, or west!

It mattered little anyway seeing be didn't know where in the hell he was, and that fact only pissed him off. He mulled over the possibility that this could all be some sort of mental test by Parthanax, but then dismissed the idea as he recalled the one sided conversation with that being earlier. Perhaps said being is an acquaintance of Parthanax and this really IS a test? If that is the case he had better start figuring out what the hell the end game was!

It would probably be a good idea to get a birds eye view of the terrain, ya know, figure out if this place actually is the way it looks from down here. With that in mind, Jason crouched low to the ground surface before propelling himself skyward into mach 1. A frown grew on his face once he realized he was maintaining one speed. The fuck? He could feel the burning if his Dragon Soul, but he couldn't access his flight speed. " Come on come on come on come on come on! " He bellowed out. Trying again and again to enter mach 1, to no avail. Jason would hover in place his head downcast, only for a moment. Pitching his head backward he screamed out in rage towards the vast skyline in an epic dragonic beastly roar that could be heard for miles. His chest burned, but it wasn't because he was hurt or anything like that. Jason felt helpless.

His speed wasn't all that was gone however. He could feel that his inhuman strengths were no longer within him. Yes he still had inhuman strength, but not as much in comparrison to before! Is this what it was like to be mortal? Was that the test then? Perhaps Parthanax was trying to show him he took his abilities for granted? That must be it! Once again turning his face to the sky he bellowed out " Parthanax! I understand what you are trying to show me! What is it you would have me do!? "

Half an hour or more must have passed since he asked that question, and he was still hovering many feet above the surtave awaiting an answer. That's when he began to feel fatigued. It came as an odd rush to Jason for Zepharians has massive amounta of stamina and could usually fly for hours before feeling the slightest bit of tiredness. A downcast expression plastered onto his face, Jason began to slowly descend back to the ground where the large fountain sat. He grew fearful that this wasn't a test after all...

<flashback>

" ...What in the name of Parthanax were you thinking, boy!? Our job is to keep peace between the Packs and Holds, not to abuse the rules of the accords the way THEY do! "

Jason bit his tongue, controlling himself less he lash out at his mentor. His patrol had just returned from a failed surveillance operation, and Jason was clearly the one to blame for the said missions' flop. The young Guardian dared not look his mentor in the eyes, it would only make him feel like shit all the more.

" With all do respect, sir. I saved an entire village from those extremists! Had I not intervened hundreds of innocent men, women, and little ones would all be de- "

" Had you not intervened, Jason, the Packs' religious leaders would not have a political case against us for abusing the laws of the accords, by initiating military ' projects ' on THEIR border! " General Vladamere cut the boy off. His blood boiled as he paced about the room.

Jason dropped his gaze to his shoes. Naturally his mentor was right, but what would he have him do? Allow hundreds of innocents to die in the name of politics?

" Bullshit. "

The aging General looked up at Jason angrily. " I beg your pardon, boy? " he would respond through gritted teeth. Jason met his teacher's gaze now, his expression just as stern as the old man.

" I'm sorry sir, but in my mind's eye; I have done nothing wrong. In fact if given the opprtunity I would intervene again! As the Guardian of Zatannia it is my sworn duty to protect the people of this land, as you very well know sir. I could care less about political repercussions if it means I am saving innocent lives as I obligated to do. " The Guardian prepared himself for physical or verbal discipline from the old man, his hands balled into tight fists.

Vladamere let out a heavy sigh. Raising his hand to his face as he pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. He plodded back over to where Jason stood in perfect posture. The old General would place his large left hand on Jason's sturdy right shoulder, looking him straight in the eye.

" I know. " He placed both hands on both the younger man's shoulders before shaking him a bit, a small proud smile creeping onto his wrinkling war torn face " You're free to go, Jason. " He quietly said before releasing the Guardian and turning on his heels.

Jason smiled before turning to leave. As he was about to exit the room, Vladamere stopped him briefly saying " Ah, one more thing, Guardian. " Jason would turn halfway to gaze back at his mentor. His back was still to Jason however.

" Good work. " Jason smiled to himself again before leaving...

<end flashback>

The young Guardian smiled as he picked himself up from the surface of the Nexus. He had been sitting along the side of the large fountain, his back leaning against the concrete.

" Well then..no sense sitting here, and moping. I may as well explore this damned world. " He would mutter to himself before turning in a full circle, wondering which direction he should start in. " Heh, only one way to settle this! " Closing his eyes and raising a pointed finger, Jason spun round' and round' on his heels. Disorienting his sense of direction. Once he ceased spinning he slowly opened his eyes, a tad bit dizzy, and immediately just began walking in the direction his finger instructed.

Jason headed towards the gates of Camelot!

Jason swiftly touched down in front the portal gate of Camelot. His head tilted back before he let out a long whistle of awe, the structure was massive! What could be on the other side? Perhaps it was an empty void? Of course there was only one way to find out. Jason wasn't ready to go through as of yet, wanting to wait and see if any other travellers came this way. He would plop himself down on the ground, legs crossed. His vestment blanketed in a pool around him from the waist down, the hood sliding off his head. And so his wait began.

Re: New Beginning(Open) - JasonRen - 12-16-2015

" I've been sitting here for a damned eternity! " Jason groaned out as he lay on his side, in front the massive loomimg gates of Camelot. He had been waiting to see if anyone were to come this way, but so far he had no such luck. A thought then struck him. ' Perhaps it would be wiser to seek out another " Prime " , as the faceless white being referred to people such as himself, at the fountain where I arrived. ' It clearly was some type of central point for this place, seeing how perfectly placed it was in the middle of all the gates.

The young Guardian was well rested by now, and ready for more travel. Or rather step retracing. Picking himself up off the ground Jason gathered his wits and began towards the large gateway, far off in the distance, that mirrored the one his back was facing. Obviously the fountain was no longer visible, but Jason figured since the smaller structure was the center of this place, heading for the vate opposite his current position would lead him straight there.

Reaching behind his neck Jason would grasp the cloth of his vestment's hood, yanking it up and over his head to once again cover the majority of his face. He began to whistle to himself the anthem of Zatannia, his beloved nation. The Guardian silently prayed that he would one day see home again.
