Friendly reminder - Omni - 11-17-2015
The Omniverse is about having fun. This should be fun. It's also about making friends and role-playing. It's a game.
I'm sorry that some people have gotten confused over some rulings in my absence. Sometimes there are going to be questions about what to do in a situation like any other game. If you've ever played board games or card games you will have run into a situation where it's like "what do we do here? What rule takes precedence?"
The mature thing to do in that situation is either check with the creators or, as in most cases, when you can't get an instant answer (you guys are quite privileged in this case
) you try to figure out the spirit of the rule and what would be fair. That especially applies in this website because we are a ROLE-playing website and a lot of what happens happens in a fuzzy space bereft of numbers or grids or anything other than a writer's imagination. That's what allows us such freedom.In the spirit of enjoyable games, try to be a good sport and remember that this is just a game at the end of the day. But these ARE real people. If you're willing to upset someone over the result of a game or a verdict, you need to take a break from this website. It will still be here when you get back.
It's important to note that while not everyone on the site is eighteen, we expect everyone to act like an adult. If you can't do that, we will remove you for the sake of those people who keep this place an enjoyable environment. Ain't nobody got time for drama. Sign if you agree.
