Item Inquiry - Proto Man - 02-10-2014
Is the IC/game use of a Communicator so you can call player character allies to you in the event that you get ganked by someone in the same verse as them?
Will I need a Communicator to communicate with a non-player character? Or does the Mobile Dataverse Device cover this function?
I guess I only ask because, seeing as how most phones and handheld computers nowadays are like, internet-capable, I'm having trouble with these two items.

You can communicate with other Dataverse-capable characters via a Dataverse device, but they won't get the message instantly. They'll need to like, go check their email or whatever. It also doesn't allow instantaneous communication through the whole Omniverse, which communicators do.
