SO WHO WANTS TO PLAY A (BAD) GAME - Roger Smith - 10-18-2015 So I've been working on things and stuff in RPG Maker, and have two projects currently in a state of any appreciable sort of progress and still kind of like where they're headed. Only one of them is in anything approaching a "demo-ready" state. If anyone is interested, I would very much appreciate some additional, external eyes on the project to make sure there are no glaring errors and just, y'know, offer general opinions. If anyone would be interested I can get a demo compressed and playable and upload it, and dispense with all the need to knows and what not. Just lemme know. ------------------------------- The RTP. The RPG Maker VX Ace Run-Time Package. Contains all the base/default/required files to run the VX Ace game engine. Instlaling this means you won't need to download an extra 200~ with each demo. Which is convenient, i guess? The game Download it, run the exe to extract it to a location of your choosing, run Game.exe to start it up. Primarily I'm looking for anything that outright breaks/crashes the game, that's the big one. Aside from that, any instances of text running off the side, or anything that seems....off are also important, but not anywhere near AS important. If my obtuse game/puzzle design has you stumped I can offer hints. There's a tutorial for controls within the game, right after the startup screen. Re: SO WHO WANTS TO PLAY A (BAD) GAME - Roger Smith - 12-29-2015 Seeing talk of games and such lately, I command this thread to be REVIVED! No further progress made on my end since the last demo, aside from general cleaning up of minor things I found. No actual changes though, so no new demo just yet. Re: SO WHO WANTS TO PLAY A (BAD) GAME - Granite - 12-29-2015 Wow, I didn't see another game when I went through the Forum. I must have missed it. I'll be sure to go try this game right away. Edit: No! Not mediafire! That site is my downloading hell! I can never get anything downloaded from that site! Re: SO WHO WANTS TO PLAY A (BAD) GAME - Albert Wesker - 01-02-2016 And I have now added in an alternate download link. Re: SO WHO WANTS TO PLAY A (BAD) GAME - Roger Smith - 01-10-2016 New demo is up. Only minor changes. Fixed a couple mapping issues bugging me, added/changed a few minor details and made one secret change and addition that i find highly amusing. First person to find it gets a mention somewhere in-game. EDIT: Also starting from next update I'll be including a version with the RPT included for those who are having difficulty downloading or don't want to download the RTP separately. |
