Stormy - Rin Okumura's Alt - Stormy - 10-17-2015 Character name: Stormy Character source: OC from Star Wars Character history: Stormy, formerly know as TK701, was a stormtrooper who often got himself in trouble. Not the kind of trouble that would get him killed, but the kind of trouble one gets into for disobeying their superiors. Because of this, Stormy was placed in a squadron of misfits, well, stormtroopers who are slightly less elite than the rest of them. Most of the time, this squadron was placed on guard duty, but during the rare times that they were sent out to do a mission, Stormy was able to show off his true skills. There was one mission that really made him stand out. They were told it would be a simple scouting mission. Get in, scan the area, get out. But this changed when rebel scum ambushed them while they approached their destination. Half of his squad died, including his commander, leaving him the next in line for to command the rest of the misfits. The firefight lasted for an hour before the horrifying sound of a lightsaber filled their ears, but only horrifying for the half of the squad who didn’t live for such a moment. Drawing his two favorite vibroknives, the buckethead ran out from behind cover, blaster fire just barely missing him, and confronted the jedi in melee combat. With the first swing of the jedi’s saber, stormy had already managed to cut off the man’s hand, only to finish him off moments later. This sight alone sent the rebel’s running as their trump card fell before them, and the rest of Stormy’s squad just looked in wonder. Even though it was just an apprentice jedi, it was still a feat not many troopers could pull off, so he was to be awarded and promoted soon after the event took place. Not that whatever award he would get mattered to him, he had a sweet new lightsaber that he’d keep on him. And strangely enough, it was red.. Not many jedi had red sabers. The night before he was supposed to be awarded would not go as planned, however. When he walked into his barracks, he was met with darkness. When he turned around to figure out why it was so dark, he found that the door behind him disappeared, and was replaced by a white face staring back at him in the darkness. Physical Description: [spoiler][/spoiler] Stats: ATK: 3 DEF: 2 SPD: 2 TEC: 3 Starting Proficiencies: Ranged (1000 OM), Physical (1000 OM), Area Attack (600 OM) Starting Powers: Basic Telekinesis (400 OM) Starting Moves: T-21 Light Repeating Blaster (300 OM): A heavy blaster wielded with two hands, strong enough to cut through standard armor and light-armored vehicles. It’s effective range is 300 m since the weapon’s kick would make it nearly impossible to aim past that. Shoots fully automatic, fires lasers. Dual Vibroknives (300 OM): Stormy’s personal favorite, a vibroknife is a weapon with an internal generator that makes it vibrate. These vibrations make it easier to cut things, like limbs (off), or making what would usually be a small cut, a huge gash. All of this, with little effort from the wielder. Each knife is 1 foot in length, and can easily cut through many things. Red Lightsaber (300 OM): Soon after coming to the omniverse, Stormy decided to experiment with Omnillium, which resulted in him learning that he can do the same sh*t jedis and sith lords do, which resulted in him making the lightsaber he owns useable for when he didn’t feel like using his trusty vibroknives. This lightsaber had a red blade, and a standard hilt. The blade is 5 feet in length and can cut through most things. Force Throw (300 OM): Along with his discovery that he could use a lightsaber, just like those force-sensitive beasts that he always looked up to or hated, Stormy decided he’d go even further and teach himself to use the “force” with omnillium as well. So just like all those pesky jedi from the past did, he can lift someone off their feet and throw them without even needing to touch them. Quite the handy trick, but he can only throw them a few feet since using the “force” is a lot harder than he thought. SUPER MOVE - Charged Blast (600 OM): Again, using the amazing power of omnillium, stormy learned how to power up one of his normal weapons. The stormtrooper places one foot a good distance behind the other, points his T-21 at the enemy, and holds down the trigger. Instead of it firing in it’s normal, fully automatic setting, the weapon begins visibly creating a red orb of light at the end of it’s barrel. This orb eventually grows to have a 3 foot circumference, then launches a beam of red energy (roughly the same circumference as the sphere) at Stormy’s target after 5 seconds. The charging of this move causes the ground around Stormy to shake, showing the power of the attack. Total OM Spent: 4800 I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. Re: Stormy - Rin Okumura's Alt - Roger Smith - 10-17-2015 Lookin' good there, champ. Just a couple o' things. Telekinesis requires Ranged Proficiency, Remote Control Proficiency and Ranged Materialize Proficiency, so you don't have enough for it as things stand. So that and Force Throw are out of the running. T-21 Light Repeating Blaster -- I know you say it fires on full-auto, but what's the actual rate of fire? Full auto could be a few dozen, a few hundred, or a few thousand rounds a minute, so it's not a good descriptor, and it would directly impact the power of each individual shot. Dual Vibroknives -- Just a note, but as you've labelled this 'dual' vibroknives, you'll only ever be able to use them both at once. If you'd prefer to be able to use one at a time and/or both at the same time, that'd be a variable move at 600 OM. Charged Blast -- a 3-foot circumfrence would be just a little under a foot in diameter, and therefore not very big overall. If that's what you intended, then good to go, but you'll still need to note a distance the beam reaches to, just for detail work. Re: Stormy - Rin Okumura's Alt - Stormy - 10-17-2015 - The T-21'll shoot 30 rounds a minute, really slow, but has a lot of power behind it. - I'll say screw it and make dual wielding them an option for the extra 300 since I have some extra OM now. - I'm just gonna leave the super move at that, I was planning on increasing the size of it each time I make a higher tier. The range is also 300 meters, just like the normal weapon's range. - And again, since I have more OM, I'll add in another move as well. Thermal Detonator (300 OM): A mid-sized grenade that is used by most stormtroopers. It's blast radius is 10 feet, and can be very deadly for a "squishy" opponent. Anyone outside of it's blast radius are completely unharmed, as the explosion only goes as far as it's blast radius, before the explosion field collapses. Stormy carries three of these on him at all times, but once he runs out, it takes too long to make more if he's in battle. Thermal Detonator -- Seeing as this is a grenade, gonna need about how far you can toss it and how long it takes to go boom once you arm it/pull the pin.
