Move help. - Animbus - 10-15-2015
My characters name is Animbus, I want to get a power that allows him to "teleport" using shadows just like splatoon.
I looked through the moves, and I think it works like disassemble, but I don't want survival or hive mind, because he moves together. I think I would need burst movement to give the "teleport" effect, but I'm not sure what would be best, without spending a lot of om on one move.

You could just get the Teleport power; it wouldn't even really need a move. Writing the teleport thing as warping through shadows is fine. You'd only need a move if you're doing something other than vanishing and reappearing. Like if you were to cause a shockwave when you reappeared or something.

would that be fine though with just that? The move would be like this but with shadows, and with a dragon.
if i wanted to move within the shadows, would i need more than just teleportation?

A simple teleport like what's in the gif would be fine. Just bear in mind you'd be limited in distance by what tier of Teleportation you have (Basic, Advanced, or Master). How this would work in terms of stats and fatigue on you character is covered here. For traveling in shadows, like if you were to move through them at a normal pace and perhaps 'hide' in them, you'd likely need Phasing and/or Stealth. Magus has a move similar to this that you could use for inspiration. For hammering out the exact details of the move, I'd try in the Move Creation Workshop. The folks that frequent that thread are well-versed and can help you fine-tune it to what you'd like it to be.

As an alternative to Kakashi's suggestion: you could also purchase a move, with the teleportation power as a REQUIREMENT, that allowed you to teleport through shadows. The downside compared to regular teleportation is that obviously he has to be standing in the shadow to use it. But as a result I would likely weaken some of the downsides of teleportation - the fatigue cost and/or the time it takes to teleport.
Just an alternate suggestion. Kakashi's first post is perfectly valid.
