“Is this what the good guys do, Carol? Is this who you are now?” the words echoed through the space between Carol Danvers temples, haunting and plaguing her waking mind.
Her soft, delicate features expressed mourning as she lay awake. Her feminine form exposed with her wet, swollen eyes betraying her and her jaw muscles sore of extended sorrow, with her mascara a mess and peppering her linen with pitter pattered blemishes. Her stomach turned a nasty convulsion as she gasped for air, and mustered her ability to… ‘Weather the storm’. She wanted to just… Lay in bed for an eternity… But that wasn’t an option…
The nightmares… They never stop. Somethings you can’t undo. No do overs.
*Buzz*
Across the room and atop of a mahogany table top sat an identification card, fanatically pulsating with vibration causing the woman to stir. A beat later her feminine silhouette graced the walls as he swiped the card and pressed on the key pad, “I… I can’t… I just...”
“Carol…”
“No Tony… I just can’t”
Without warning, reality retreated from existence as a canopy of darkness shrouded perception and left nothing but a collapsed void in its wake.
“Tony…?”

Dejaveu… if only it were that…
This felt more akin to that of a reoccurring nightmare, as this wasn’t the first time Carol had been whisked away to an another dimension by a mad man. However, with her fists clenched tight, she swore it’d be the last f*ckin’ time and she’d make this asshole pay, just like the last one.

And so she began her march through the barren and blank canvas that was the Nexus, until she came across a portal of some kind. The beauty shrugged, she was no stranger to intergalactic portals. She decide to embrace whatever consequences lie awaiting for her on the other side and passed through.

Breathing new life into her lungs, Ms. Marvel took a look at her surroundings and couldn’t believe what she saw. She was back… here. Where ever here was? Wherever it was, it was bright; too bright and too white, it forced the heroine to shield her eyes with a free hand as she accessed her next move.
“I think I went that way last time...” the blonde said to herself as he tried to recall. Flashes of her painful defeat at the hands of Shang Tsung invaded her memory and caused her to shutter, “Definitely not that way.”
The beauty turned on her heels in the opposite direction, ready for whatever the Omniverse had in store for her!
