Looks like moonstone to me. I've always pictured it more like mercury with a chromatic shine.

I actually imagine it as radiant, shining and casting patterns of light in every direction. I imagine the core being a bright white, with radiating shafts of color splaying off in every direction, trying to escape as it beams out between your fingers in slowly, gently rotating patterns.
