Character history:
Weiss Schnee is - was, a huntress from the universe of RWBY. the heir of the Schnee company, and a top-graded huntress-in-training at beacon academy. Weiss ended up being forced, reluctantly, to join the team of huntresses known as RWBY in her first-year placement, and initially, was reluctant to work with the team.
Gradually, and through the constant prodding of her teammates(Most notably their fearless leader) Weiss grew to accept her place on the team and see them as valuable friends and partners. Together, the group took on several missions at beacon academy, becoming quickly known for their efficiency and talent. Eventually, they managed to finish their first year with full honors, and were expected to make major impacts on the world in their second year. Weiss, for her part, expected no less, and looked forward to meeting with her team again after summer vacation.
However, after a calm first night meet-up and a brief reunion, their leader, Ruby, seemed to simply… Vanish right out of her bed.
The team’s reaction was immediate, and Weiss, Yang and Blake immediately began searching for her. They took missions across the world, eventually, searching for any sign of their missing leader, until they were told in no uncertain terms that they had to choose to either leave Beacon, or give up their hunt for Ruby.
Upon hearing the news, Weiss simply left, not discussing the matter with her teammates or partners. From there, she wandered from town to town investigating, using every asset she could pull from locals or from the Schnee’s vast pool of resources, until she was given information from a faunus living on the edge of town that a girl with a red cloak was spotted in a small village near the city.
Weiss investigated the area at once, finding an abandoned village where the Faunus had told her it would be… but instead of a red cloak, a large group of white fang were waiting for her.
Weiss prepared to fight the group, aware that she likely stood no chance against the superior number gathered there, and regretted the fact that now she’d cause even more pain for Yang and Blake when she fell.
Then, blackness enveloped Weiss, and she was brought somewhere else entirely...

Weiss’s weapon of choice, the Myrtenaster is a Multi-action dust Rapier. It is sized and shaped the same as a regular rapier, and is made of a fine steel.
Myrtenaster has four chambers filled with Dust, that Weiss can activate with the help of her semblance. This allows Weiss to power several seperate abilities with the help of Myrtenaster. once she’s unlocked them with Omnilium, that is.
Even without using any abilities or dust, Myrtenaster is a fast and elegant rapier, and combined with Weiss's extensive training in fencing can be used to deadly effectiveness in melee combat.
Tier 1 offensive Super move: White (600 OM)
Weiss channels her semblance into her blade for one second, white runes forming on the blade as each dust chamber glows of the same color. She then attacks with a single, powerful strike while using burst movement, cutting the opponent with a single blow of great power and speed.

Just a reminder for myself but, at what point in the anime is she from? season 1 or 2? (it'd be a good note to put in as part of the history, but it wont stop approval)

It's based on post-season 2 as implied by the history. I'll add the note if it's needed though.
