Sinestro Corps Rings - Thaal Sinestro - 09-06-2015 So in the comics, the power rings can make a copy of themselves so that Corps members can temporarily give them to other folks. This has been something that I've been thinking about, especially in line with the idea of having a "Sinestro Corps" at some junction. I figured out how I'd do it: You purchase an Assist and Fusion. You ally purchases Fusion. The assist comes along with a carbon copy of Sinestro's powers, and then Fuses with the ally. It's a short term (probably only about 4 posts worth by the time I actually get this) of Sinestro Corps powers, but it works. What are your guy's thoughts on that? Do you have a better way of doing it? Re: Sinestro Corps Rings - Reece - 09-06-2015 First off; let me just say that this seems like a really cool idea; it'll be pretty awesome to see it in action once you get the OM. And so, with that said, I'll move on. I'm not entirely certain about this, but I think assists can look like pretty much whatever you want; so you could possibly make it that the ring itself is actually the assist, and the fusion is just them putting it on? That way, you could just hand them the ring yourself, rather than having a random NPC do it then vanish, or be absorbed by them, or whatever. Also, it would be easier to use if you also bought Symbiosis; that way you could give a ring to any ally, regardless of whether they had Fusion or not, which would greatly increase the usability of the tactic... though, of course, it'd take much longer to earn the OM to pay for it. Anyway, those are the only suggestions that come to mind. Good luck with this.
Re: Sinestro Corps Rings - Deadpool - 09-06-2015 Maybe you could also explain it through symbiosis. Re: Sinestro Corps Rings - Tearen Wover - 09-06-2015 I think Thaal chose to do it with an Assist so he didn't need to bind his hit points to the person borrowing the powers. Re: Sinestro Corps Rings - Thaal Sinestro - 09-06-2015 Well, I also think that fusion assumes we inhabit one body? I agree that symbiosis is a needed add on for the assist, but i dunno how I could transfer my pets to somebody else while retaining 2 distinct forms without using an assist? Re: Sinestro Corps Rings - Proto Man - 09-07-2015 You would need the Assist, as yea, fusion involves 2+ characters turning into 1 character. |
