Character Music thread - Shulk - 08-24-2015
If you're weird like me, you probably read threads with some kind of music playing in your head subconsciously. Considering the only other thread like this was posted in April, I thought I'd try making one with a different spin. Instead of just posting your main character's themes, try imagining what sort of music would be playing at specific moments in a thread, either during a fight or in a calmer scene to use some examples. Feel free to edit in more songs as you think of them.

Honestly? Pick a classic rock song and there is a good chance that it is the one I am thinking of. Though most of the time I actually quote the song I am thinking of as part of the post. IE Dean is actually listening to it.
(Also everytime I see Ruby this song plays in my head. ......... what?)

I only just made my character, but you can bet your butt that I totally listen to music every time I post on any forum. I don't listen to much badass or awesome songs though, so sorry if these aren't amazin'! More of a indie, softer music type of person. Also I'm deeply sorry if this is too much, I require variety in writing :ohno:

General Theme/Inspiration
I don't really have any 'combat' themes...I just pick a random fast-paced song from my favs' and then, well, there ya' go! Unrelated to music, but I do have a entire playlist dedicated to war/battles and stuff that I listen to so I get inspired, also combat scenes provide good insight on small details of war! Er, well, as long as it sticks to some form of reality. I do have a tendency to listen to this however.

Misc. I have a tendency to listen to Parov Stellar whenever. Especially if it involves cities and the higher ups of life. Really gets my imagination in the mood.

This is Athena's theme/the song of her journey. (I own no rights to it, sadly. ||p) This isn't the genre of music I usually listen to, but it suits her story's (former) setting.
I'll come up with tracks for specific scenarios sometime later.

When writing as a particular character I tend to immediately be reminded of the soundtracks to the respective media, so that's usually where my head goes.
For Vincent, it's normally Gackt's Redemption; after playing Dirge of Cerberus I envision every combat as if it were in the style of the game and the song is used in the last part of the game. It's pretty epic. For major dramatic events I sometimes default to the crazy awesome Advent Children version of One Winged Angel.
For Kakashi, it tends to be the Anbu theme most of the time. Sometimes "Raising Fighting Spirit" if I'm thinking combat.
