Information on my secondary is here.

Here's the thread, for easy access: http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=7542

Also, just to list the ideas in progress so that everyone is in the clear and in case that newcomers decide to join in (it IS an open thread after all!)

Quote:About the Silver Hand
This is mostly my ramblings and ideas based on the stuff

The Silver Hand are an organized bandit group with a pretty large force - about 20 "bandits" (the trustworthy members of the gang) which all have some sort of nickname, plus hostages that they employ as forced laborers. They're not mafia-level organized, but still bad. Their leader is "Scar", they also have a pair of vice-leaders.

Their lair is hidden: not even the Kingdom knows where they are hiding out, although Carmelita could have some general idea seeing how she followed them. It's located far off any frequently and not-so frequently used routes and in a generally inaccessible forest-y area.

They have no Primes among them, nor among the hostages (besides Malon, whom they believe to be a Secondary).

Thanks to being fairly established, having craftsmen to make and repair weapons and armor and conducting raids against convoys and mercenaries their equipment is pretty good for a group of bandits - they have hardleather and chainmail armor, steel weapons and helmets and so on, so they're not to be taken lightly.

Activities are mostly standard for bandits: raid farmsteads and villages, assault caravans, etc. They're not above killing or wounding those who put up resistance, and will actively murder knights and soldiers flying the kingdom's banner. If they kill off a hostage or soldier, they often leave a gruesome message by sending severed heads or bodyparts to a fort or planting them on stakes somewhere along a road, where the royal guard will find them. Generally they use fear and intimidation as well as stealth to keep themselves afloat. Somehow they're able to provide food and drink for 20 men and a shifting number of hostages, so they may have some outside source.

It's also noteworthy that they have a particularly nasty way of forcing hostages and authorities to cooperate: for everything that happens to one of their group, a hostage gets to feel the consequences. If a hostage acts up, they punish someone else instead (at least usually, but in some situations just punishing the wrongdoer is better) which puts the hostages into a bad spot: they feel hostile towards each other because they get punished for someone else's wrongs, and they don't want to make friends because it will be used against them. As a result there's no real organization among them.

Their attacks are also oddly informed for people who otherwise would have trouble picking up much gossip and info. Could it be that they have informants outside of the main lair?

For now, our thought process (Dawn and me) was to have the story develop by having Malon and Sera, Dawn's secondary, work for the Silver Hand a while, generally being in a bad spot, and eventually breaking out. No real established ideas here.

Carmelita plans on establishing a hideout and from there gradually progressing towards... likely apprehending the entire gang, while having Malon and Sera act as her insider help, passing information and such.

Anyone who wants to join is free to do so but please try to keep in line with the above ideas. We're not looking for a heroic Prime to bust us all out while rambo-ing through the gang. You could make a secondary who's a hostage like Sera and Malon, a bandit member of the Silver Hand, or indeed have your Prime be captured through an unfortunate run-in.

Thank you!

With the direction that the thread is taking (especially with my posts and sometimes Dawn's) I feel like I should change the thread tag from Open to Open-M. Any thoughts?

My posts are going to remain T, but the topics you two touch on could definitely stray into M. Agreed.

Our characters aren't exactly running through rose-tinted fields of friendship and joy, are they? Tongue

RE: Between Two Cities OOC Thread - Malon - 02-28-2017

Hmm... between the 4 bandits that Undyne killed and 3 that were shredded by the lionesses, that leaves 13 bandits alive, of which 3 are injured. Just to list the remaining ones:

-Scar (leader)
-Snake (one of 2 vice-leaders)
-Four-Eyes (could be the other vice-leader?)
-10 regular bandits which are mostly around. 2 or 3 are usually absent, so we have 7 people present.

With the lionesses taken out, an escape is coming into reach rather well!
