Fusion, but not fusion. - Demetri Malius - 08-16-2015 Okay, so I had planned that IRIS could also become a wearable item and buff its wearer at the cost of IRIS being restricted in moves and abilities. It's somewhat like fusion, but exactly a full fusion. Also, not sure if it needs shape shifting. Would it possibly be a move? what prof/powers would it require. Overall, just not sure how this fits in to everything. I just overall want to give IRIS a concrete base of moves, powers, abilities, etc. That way I have solid stuff to work on for it. I have a npc submission currently out for IRIS but I'm still tweaking some things on it. In the following wearable forms, IRIS must take ten seconds to fully switch forms or revert to its original form. Examples: IRIS can be worn as a helmet(similar to this as a helmet). While in this form, IRIS cannot use any moves besides its lasers, but can aide its wearer using insight and foresight(however, its usefulness depends on the skill and speed of its wearer to recognize helmet HUD warnings), and protects the wearer from head injury. IRIS can only communicate with its wearer while in this form. Wearer can also hear IRIS's function warnings(the ones in italics) IRIS can be worn as a wristcuff, covering the wearer's forearm and wrists. In this form, IRIS is restricted to its defensive moves, Pulse and Defensive Protocol(at a reduced range and effect maybe), and its lasers. IRIS can speak out loud in this form.(for visual, just a glowy blue wristplate.) IRIS can be worn as a chest piece. In this form, IRIS and its wearer can use stealth, along with suppression, but cannot use any moves, including lasers. IRIS cannot speak in this form.(for visual, think iron man's chest piece but with IRIS's blue eye) Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Miranda Frost - 08-16-2015 Im thinking alternate forms (to be short and sweet). your powers and proficiencies are spread out to your whole character no matter what form he's in. but most of these seem like moves (assuming you have the powers and proficincies required) Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Minato Namikaze - 08-16-2015 Are you trying to get IRIS approved as a Prime NPC? (Just first things first) Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Demetri Malius - 08-16-2015 Not a prime, a secondary, i just want it to have official stats and powers and such. As of now there's a lot of things I want IRIS to be able to do, both with demetri and by itself, and having a concrete sheet would help me better strategize its abilities than just coming up with something new IRIS does every other posts. Also to make me more confident about what it can and cant do, trying to keep it around level 3 for now, but depending on how costly these things are, might be level 4. EDIT: Depending on how things go with my future quests to the underverse and such, i may request that IRIS become a prime, somehow, if i figure it out, maybe not. Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Omni - 08-16-2015 S'fusion, as far as rules care. Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Demetri Malius - 08-16-2015 Okay, so just fusion? Is shapeshifting or malleability required? Also would i just need fusion or moves for each one? Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Omni - 08-19-2015 It doesn't matter too much as she's only an NPC but regardless, it'd only need fusion (which makes a new form with all the stats and powers/moves of both). That's because in either case, the actual benefits aren't changing, she's just enabling different moves she already has. If you wanted the benefits to change, she'd want alternate forms, so that maybe fusing in her chestplate form gave more of a DEF boost, the wristband gave a TEC boost or what-have-yeh. Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Demetri Malius - 08-20-2015 alright, so basically fusion with alternate forms. And just to be clear, its not possible for me to only share a fraction of abilities with fusion? It must be a complete merge? Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Omni - 08-20-2015 You can but it would be purely roleplaying fodder. Like, you could limit it if you wanted so that instead of having just a single fusion, she shifts into three different shapes each with access to a third of her abilities ... But it's essentially just the same as regular fusion and there are no stat changes between 'forms' so it's really just for fun. Re: Fusion, but not fusion. - Demetri Malius - 08-20-2015 ok, so i think ill go with a fusion and alternate forms, like you suggested before, thank for the help
