Nikon Vs. Canon - Jack Frost - 08-04-2015
My question is simply put
What is better? Nikon or Canon? And what Camera would be good for a beginer?
The reason why is im taking a photography class next year and I REALLY want to get a jumpstart on this.
So if you know ANYTHING about camera quality, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks

It really depends on the specific camera. I'm not an expert on anything, but I know that both brands offer good cameras.

Point-and-shoot: Canon > Nikon
DSLR: Nikon > Canon
However, Nikons are much more complicated/less user-friendly than Canons. Canon typically has a much better interface, whereas Nikon typically has better lenses and features for those who are very comfortable using a higher-end camera.
Both are great. To each their own.
