Help Get Me Published - Alex - 01-27-2018 Hi, Omniverse, how you doin'? Been a while -- work has been pretty awful since I got break from what was actually a very relaxing Winter Break. Had to organize a science fair team at the last minute, have to grade dozens of papers before the grade deadline... got a job evaluation next week and the follow up the week after... real life is hard. At least I can file my taxes in the next week or so, once I get my 1098-t form from grad school. Anyway. Over break and in the intermittent periods of free time, I was able to get my manuscript to a spot where I wanted it to be. After receiving the help of a great artist, I had a piece of cover art and was good to go. I submitted my stuff to Kindle Scout, which is an online platform where new authors can be published digitally and, well, you know -- get paid for it. I don't often pander to social media/the internet in general, but I'm 100% certain that this is a platform where you must pander and word-of-mouth to be successful. Plus, we're talking like, one of my dreams here, so heck yes I'mma ask for all the help I can get. So I'm asking for anyone out there with an Amazon account to go an nominate my work to be published. You can go read the first 6 chapters as an excerpt, and if I do get published, you get a free e-book. While it's taken me a stupid amount of time to get my ideas into one coherent book, this place helped me a lot, as I used this place to help flesh out the personality and backstory of one of my novel's main characters. The link is here -- https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/RTLQCXG7D5EF -- there's a blue 'nominate' button. You just need an Amazon account. I appreciate your support, Omniverse. All the love in the world, Alex RE: Help Get Me Published - Dane Regan - 01-27-2018 I have clicked the blue thing, yo. And read like, the first 4 chapters. Kinda pressed for time rn, but I'll probably read the rest later. Good luck Alex. RE: Help Get Me Published - Takanomiya Hijiri - 01-27-2018 Sure thing, man, you've got my nomination. Good luck. ^_^ RE: Help Get Me Published - Amaterasu - 01-27-2018 I am a simple Sundoge, I see "free stuff", I press Nominate :derp: Very fancy suit by the way, Alex! On a semi related note, I apparently have an Amazon Account but I can't ever remember having chosen that name. And it has no activity to it :psy: RE: Help Get Me Published - ElFailzalot - 01-27-2018 Lookin' good. Got yourself another nomination. :frogpipe: RE: Help Get Me Published - Jade Harley - 01-27-2018 Nominated! Great stuff Alex, and good luck! RE: Help Get Me Published - Cell - 01-27-2018 Voted for you dude. All the best. RE: Help Get Me Published - Handsome Jack - 01-27-2018 I get the feeling this isn't based on the event of the same name. Which might be for the best. That was a bit salty. RE: Help Get Me Published - Alex - 01-28-2018 lol, no That's been my manuscript name for 6 or 7 years. sodium-free RE: Help Get Me Published - Skeletor - 01-28-2018 'nother nomination for ye! best of luck! RE: Help Get Me Published - Alex - 02-23-2018 Final two days of my campaign. If you've already support or passed along, gracias. If not, here's your chance to help me out and maybe get a free e-book <3 RE: Help Get Me Published - Gilgamesh - 02-23-2018 Nominated ye man RE: Help Get Me Published - Angel Fisher - 02-23-2018 Nominated RE: Help Get Me Published - Artoria Pendragon - 02-23-2018 Nominaterurorired. RE: Help Get Me Published - Alex - 04-18-2018 As a book end (lolpun), my book's available online -- anyone who supported my scout campaign should get an email about it. It's an ebook right now, but a paperback version should be available by the end of the month. RE: Help Get Me Published - Pennywise - 04-18-2018 Will buy as many copies as possible once it's paper! RE: Help Get Me Published - Reece - 04-18-2018 Might not be able to get around to reading it for a while, since the size of my 'to-read' list greatly eclipses the amount of free time I actually have... But I bought a copy, anyways. Once again, I wish you the best of luck with this, man. RE: Help Get Me Published - Alex - 04-26-2018 The paperback version of "The Heroes' Graveyard" is available on Amazon. It's print-on-demand, hence a slightly higher price than I would have set but that's also why I made the ebook super cheap. I plan to have the ebook available on Google Books and iTunes by the end of the month as well. So that I may swipe the plastic card and make it rain pages. RE: Help Get Me Published - Alex - 04-26-2018 You can just SEARCH FOR IT Sent. Anyone else who just wants a link can PM me -- for some reason, I'd feel dirty just posting a link here. |
